These buds are awesome! Inexpensive and get the job done. App is easy to use, but if you don’t want to use that feature they work just as well straight out of the box. Wireless charge is great too. No troubles so far with these.

The JLABS JBUDS PODS ANC True wireless earbuds (model: EBJBPODSRBLK124) are a great sounding set of earbuds. They have a wide range of capabilities and sound well across the spectrum of music. While they may not hit the highest of highs and the lowest of the lows – they will do the job and do it well. Let’s discuss the features of this set of earbuds. First, these are True Wireless earbuds via Bluetooth 5.4 with multi-point connectivity (2 devices at the same time) and are powered by built-in 50mAh 3.8V Lithium polymer batteries rated for up to 10 hours in the earbuds and 46+ hours from the charging case (500mAh 3.7V) for a total rated time of 56+ hours (your time will vary) of battery life. This model has a new feature called Google Fast Pair for Android devices that makes them very easy to connect to them from an android device. My wife said these were awesomely easy for her to connect to – and she loved that capability. They feature touch controls on both pods, auto on, the ability to use either bud in a solo mode, can work with phone assistants, have good audio quality, microphones in both pods, a noise isolating fit, and IP55 dust and water resistance for the earbuds only. The earbuds come with 3 sets of gel tips (S, M, and L) so that the fit can be customized. The ear buds come with wear detect sensors so that music can be paused and restarted as needed when either pod is removed from the ear. The device can be charged via a USB-C Cable (very short cable included) or via Wireless charging. These also come with a limited 2-year warranty and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. The touch controls are all the controls you would expect for controlling the earbuds. Some of the controls are divided across the two earbuds; for example, one press on the left earbud decreases volume and a single press on the right earbud increases volume. Please see the accompanying picture for the remaining controls. This device can switch between movie and music modes. Movie mode enables a low-latency connection, which means a decreased range, to help reduce audio lag so that voices sync to the video screen when you are watching movies. To enable movie mode, you must use the JLab App. The JLab app also enables maintenance and further personalization of your experience via the ANC, Be Aware Mode, and EQ settings. One awesome feature of the JLab app is that it has an interval timer built in that can support your workouts and you can set the time on and time off to specify your intervals. I tested this listening to a YouTube video, and it works well. My wife thinks that with this feature these ear pods will quickly become her favorite! In ear devices are not my first choice in audio devices, these were comfortable but as is typical for me it took only one trip down our stairs for one of them to fall out of my ear. When testing the earbuds, I called my wife to see how the JLABS JBUDS Air Pro work for voice calls. My wife describes the sound on the receiving end as good and crisp without any crackling. She didn’t hear any static as sometimes happens with earbud mics. There was no cutting out or skipped words, even while I was walking around using them (a known issue we have experienced with other earbud mics.) Overall, in my testing these earbuds performed well and sounded good for both calls and audio and would be a good addition for anyone who likes to use earbuds for their audio needs. Listening to Bohemian Rhapsody on these was a good experience. The cross-channel sounds were detectable and flowed nicely across the “sound stage”. The devices have great features and sound great making them a wonderful choice for earbuds.

For the price, I can bet that these are the best buds that one can get. Here are more details: In the box, you will find the buds in the charging case along with 3 pair of ear foams to provide you a perfect fit, a small USB-C to USB-C charging cable and quick start guide. The setup and pairing process is super simple (as it the case with most of the bluetooth headphones now a days). The design is sleek and comfortable. I keep them on for hours without any discomfort. They have a sollid battery life and last for around 8 to 10 hours on a single charge. The provided charging case provides around 2 hours of charge in 10 minutes. The bonus is that the case also provides wireless charging. The Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) is as good as it can get with in-ear buds. There are 3 modes: On, Off and Be Aware. The JLab mobile app provides a number of customization options like adjusting the sound profile (there are 3 presets: Signature, Balance or Bass Boost) and touch controls. Bluetooth multipoint provides connectivity to multiple devices allowing seamless transition from one device to another. They also support Google fast pair. And the best part is the audio quality. The sound is clear and crisp. I mostly use JLabs Signature preset and I find it to work with all kind of music, podcase, videos. The call quality is also good. I have never had any problem hearing the caller or a complaint from the other side. Overall, for the features that these buds have, they are worth more than cost. So, if you are looking for premium buds at a budget price give these a try, you won't be disappointed.

I have been using these JBUDS PODS for several days, and I cannot seem to make much of a dent in the batteries. They were fully charged when I took the JBUDS out of their case, and I am still at 100 per cent as I type this. Bear in mind I am not a constant user. I don’t use these at work, but I do like to listen to music at night and use my tablet and laptop without disturbing others. They are comfortable, and the sound is excellent. Perhaps not the very best I’ve heard, but they are so comfortable to wear for long periods that I don’t feel like nitpicking on the sound. Nor does the sound grate on me after long periods of listening. The treble is defined without sounding edgy, and the bass adds plenty of body without sounding boomy for show. The balance is just right. And the JBUDS stay in place. Not once have they come loose with ordinary activity. You just forget they are there. One important point for first time users. You must make sure that the tips that fit in your ear canal are the proper size so that you get a complete seal when you put them on. This is important and not stressed or mentioned in the Quick Start Guide that comes in the box. The JBUDS seemed to fit nicely in my ear when I first put them on, but the sound was tinny with no bass at all. You get three pairs of tips in the box, so I switched out the ones that were installed at the factory with a larger pair which did make a nice seal in my ears, and made all the difference in the world with the sound. The bass was back, and the sound absolutely blossomed. JLAB offers an app for both Android and iPhone users which provides multiple ways to manipulate and control the sound of these buds. You will find it useful, but I recommend that you pair the buds with your phone first before installing the app. The quick start guide seems to suggest that the app should be installed first. When I did that, the iPhone would show up on the app as paired with the phone, but the buds were not in the phone’s Bluetooth list, and the sounds came through the phone’s speakers and not the buds. The only way I found to fix that was to uninstall the app, turn off the buds by putting them back in the case, and then reboot the phone. I then put the buds back in the pairing mode and paired them without installing the app. The buds paired and worked perfectly, and I was then able to download the app again, and everything worked perfectly. I tried the ANC and could hear its effect on background noise with varied results. If only the ANC could turn off the ringing in my ears caused by my tinnitus! These are fine ear pods with extra long battery life and great sound. I recommend them highly!

Real nice earbuds. They have tons of features and they are very comfy too. They came in a in a compact small box. Inside I found them inside a carrying/charging case, a guide booklet, another small box with a small type C USB cable (very short) and extra gel inserts of different sizes for the ear canals. The carrying case serves also as a charging case and it holds charge and can charge the earbuds on the go too. The carrying case can be charged either by a Type C USB cable or placing it on a wireless charger, very convenient. Once I fully charged them (the carrying case has a led light on the front, and the earbuds themselves have small led lights too), they were easy to pair with my phone, just open the case and take one out, I was surprised my Android phone popped a notification to pair them and they were paired and working. I did see in their booklet they have an app, so I installed it (Jlab app). I'm glad I did. Upon selecting my model, there was a firmware update (these I guess bring improvements and bug fixes). Then I could see they had many options in the app. You can control the ANC (active noise canceling) or their "be aware" mode, which is basically ambient monitoring (so you can hear all around you, talk etc without removing them). Their noise canceling was good and I was able to take calls and listen to music without any external distractions. They also had other settings like spatial sound, EQ you can customize etc. They also show what you can operate if you touch on the earbuds themselves (like one touch, it will do something, two another etc, like play, pause music, summon your e-assistant etc). Sound quality was nice, I did not hear any hiss or interference and the included ear gels were good and soft. The ones installed by default were to big for me, but thankfully they included a smaller size and I swapped them, that was easy as popping the default ones off and pressing in the smaller ones). Another great feature is that they support two connections at the time, great since I can have them connected to my phone and also to my laptop at the same time!! If you are looking for good earbuds, with good quality sound (spatial sound too!) and that will greatly reduce external noise when you are wearing them and not break the bank, these are for you!

Great ear buds. Compact and lots of features and easy to use. Setup is super easy. Unpack. Take out the protective tip covers from connectors put back in case and charge it up. After that I downloaded the app from Google store. It recognizes the buds right away. I walked through the step by step process and I was in and able to set up the different settings. Sound is decent. Easy to adjust to fit your needs. Fit is good. I did not have to do any swap out with bud size so I was lucky. Use and functionality is good. Button use is easy to use for different functions. ANC, pass through, and none all function well. A common thing with ANC is that if there is a loud sound or noise the ANC crackles or pops sometimes so just be aware of this. Battery time is great. Also wireless charging is nice. Also the fact that they put charger connectors at the bottom tip makes it better to not get skin and sweat to corrode or block the contact points. Great simple earbuds for daily use.

Pretty decent sound from these earbuds. They're relatively inexpensive (compared to others out there) and provide good sound quality for not that much money. I've used numerous earbuds in my time and price is always the big thing with these. New ones comes out all the time so putting in some money for decent buds can be a pain sometimes. While these aren't your high end brand, these are no slouch when it comes to sound quality vs $$$. Like most other earbuds, you get some different sized tips (only two sizes with these) as well as the charging cable. The earbuds are comfortable and don't slip out too easily but fit snug enough. With regards to the sound. Not quite as bass heavy as I like but that's a personal preference. Good mids and highs with these so sound quality is pretty clear. Bass could be a bit more but, again, that's a personal preference. Charge time seems pretty good although I haven't been able to use them from fully charged to empty. With these buds + case, you should have no issues with battery life over the course of a day.

Remarkable sound for its price category

Review of JLab JBudsPODS ANC TWE At first, the earbud JLAB JBudsPODS ANC deliver a quite nice sound experience for being its price category. Its surrounding and spatial effect while listening music or movie does come close to those higher category of audio. Another aspect to remark is having used it for about an hour doesn’t feel muscle fatigue in the ear as would happen with some other models and brands. To its specifications, 1. 56+ Hours of Playtime 2. BUILT In Lab Spatial AUDIO EQ 3. 6 Dedicated Microphones for ANC/Calls 4. Hybrid Active, Noise Cancelling, BE Aware Mode, For Safe Listening 5. IPS 55 Sweat and Splashproof 6. LAB Quality Sound for EQ Sound Modes 7. Customize Your Sound + Experience with JLAB App 8. Google Fast Pair for Android Devices The package includes 3 sets of Gel Eartips, charging cable, Buds Pods (10+ hours each), wireless charing case (46+ hours). Now, paring and connection have required several trial until it I got it working. The process although is standard and comment, somehow with JLab JBudd Pods in the beginning connected separately each earbud while trying with iPhone 16 Pro. Due to it from the Jlab App didn’t recognize both earbuds were connected and unable to perform software update. Within the app, it was showing either Left and the Case were connected, or Right and the Case were connected while from Bluetooth Connection was showing both connected. On the other hand, the controls on the JLab Applications didn’t work quite straight away. For instance Noise Control has four options from which one is the control the level of noise canceling if Noise Cancelling On. But all of them can be enabled for options that are contradictory from noise cancellation on / off. What I wish it worked better: 1. The connectivity to single device or multiple devices work better as can’t tell when it is connected at first attempt; 2. Controls from the APP does’t work well, as described above, the noise cancelling. 3. Multiple Connection: while using in one device like first with MacBook, then from the phone what ever incoming existing can’t switch easily making to take directly from the second device. The above list makes to the practicality and easy to use experience. However if it is listening musing or watching movie and its sound is remarkably good. The function to Volume Up/Down, Switch EQ by the action tap on earbud works well. But for switching between device and using for call and using its app feels a bit off. But once connected and usage of single purpose works well.

It’s hard not to escape from the impressions that Jlabs devices are budget-friendly options. However, having owned several Jlabs devices, time and again I've come to appreciate their consistent quality. The Jbuds Pods ANC earbuds, in particular, are a testament to this. The earbuds are well built, the design is attractive, and they offer great quality. Despite their affordable price tag, they deliver impressive value. The earbuds case feels solid and sturdy, it is compact enough and supports wireless charging. I’ve been using these earbuds with the latest high-end Apple devices and Android phone and the earbuds perform well beyond my initial expectations. There’s a firmware update for the earbuds and I updated the firmware from the Jlab iOS app. The process was easy enough. My Android phone instantly recognizes the earbuds so pairing them was quick and smooth. Pairing with an iPhone is also easy enough. The key aspect of these ANC earbuds is the 11 mm driver. The driver along with Jlab’s digital sauce contributes to a satisfying sound quality, with a broad frequency response and substantial volume. These earbuds deliver ample volume and are capable of handling music content, movies, podcasts, etc. These earbuds are loud. How loud? I reckon listening music at full volume over extended period of time will surely have an effect to hearing. Call experience is also good; I can hear the voice of the person I’m calling to really well and the same person can hear my voice very well. Both noise-cancelling and the ambient modes work well. I did not expect to be surprised by its audio performance having owned several wireless earbuds within the same price range in the past. These Jbud earbuds did pleasntly surprise me, so much that they are good enough to be paired with my Apple Vision Pro. In fact, I’m scratching my head why would I need to pay so much more for a ‘Pro’ name brand earbuds. I’m not saying that other name brand earbuds would not give better performance, in some aspect or another they would. Let’s say for example in terms of spatial audio. A name brand ‘Pro’ earbuds would win in this area because they are Dolby Atmos certified, however, Jlab’s spatial audio performance is still good. For most audio enthusiasts and audiophiles, they would pay hundreds of dollars more just to get that edge they need in terms of audio performance and sonic signature they need. Are these Jlabs earbuds overly flowery? Not really. As an audio enthusiast, I find the soundspace a bit too expansive and could benefit from some refinement. While instrument separation and definition are certainly present and above average for the price range, I sometimes feel they could be more pronounced. Highs and mids are good but sounded a bit thin to my preference, and though the bass are smooth enough, they are not as punchy as I would like. There's a slight inconsistency in the frequency response across different volume levels, which might be attributed to a potential issue with the source audio codec or Bluetooth transmission. If you’re reading this paragraph, this is me being a bit audio enthusiast geeky. But from an average person’s perspective aka for most people, I can’t help to think that these earbuds are awesome. They are pretty much disruptive in terms of audio performance: such low price with much higher audio quality. Overall, these Jlab earbuds prove that one doesn’t necessarily need to break the bank for good and enjoyable audio experience. The Jbuds Pods ANC earbuds are a solid example of this principle in action. I definitely recommend these earbuds for those who are budget conscious but wanted a pair of earbuds with an elevated sound experience.

Great Sound and Features at a Budget Price

These JLAB JBuds earbuds are an excellent option for anyone looking for premium performance earbuds, but don't want to pay a premium price. The sound quality of these earbuds is nearly as good as earbuds that cost much more. The first step is to pair the earbuds to your device. This can be done without downloading the JLAB App or creating an account. However, I strongly recommend downloading the App. Most of the basic functions of the earbuds can be used without the App, but the App unlocks some expansive features and customization options. A firmware update was immediately available and took about 5 minutes to download. There is a 10 band equalizer available in the App. There are 3 EQ presets available and a custom EQ. The 3 presets are JBL Signature, Balanced and Bass Boost. My favorite preset is Bass Boost. After using it for a few days listening to music that I am very familiar with, I found the sound quality to be excellent. Sound is detailed, punchy, and full range. These earbuds offer a very effective Active Noise Canceling capability. The ANC can be turned on or off and adjusted by ANC level. There is also a Be Aware hear through mode. The ANC is shockingly good. I think that It is great that ANC has trickled down from the top of the line models to the middle range models. The App offers all of the expected options, as well as few other options that I would like to discuss. There is a music and movie mode. There is also a spatial audio option which I actually prefer to use. Normally I am not a fan of simulated spatial audio, but in this case I felt the music opened up without thinning out. I would definitely recommend exploring this feature to determine whether it is for you. Included in the box is a short USB-C charging cable, and 3 sets of gel ear tips (small, medium, large). I strongly recommend the JLAB JBuds. They feel, sound, and look great. The sound quality and features are what would have only been found on top of the line models. For the price these earbuds will be hard to beat!

Change out-of-box settings: Now my JBuds are great

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

JLAB JBuds Pods ANC (Black) are a great value for a super sounding pair of earbuds. They are loaded with features. And, yes, my headline needs some explanation. I’m sure JLab is trying to be helpful, and I bet their out-of-the-box settings (and maybe even the updates they provide) represent the most accurate, instrument-measured sound. It just wasn’t right for me. Simply selecting the CUSTOM equalizer, before making any changes, sounded better to my ears. And a few changes quickly got me any sound contour I wanted and certainly preferred. I’m going to speculate here, but I’d guess earbuds from JLab’s competitors are significantly equalized for heavier bass lines, a bit more sparkle at the higher frequencies, and nothing close to accurate. JLAB may be aiming for natural-sounding, but it missed my preferences. The nice thing about these JBUDS is they are so easy to modify into earbuds you’ll love, for a nice price. Details follow. SETUP: Don’t make my mistake and begin charging your JBLs without first removing the protective stickers on the tips of each EarPods that hide the charging contacts. Remove and then plug the case into a charging block. Getting onto Bluetooth was fast. The app initially does not seem to recognize the connected earbuds, and frankly I don’t think I did anything of consequence, but a few seconds later I was able to see the earbuds and manipulate all the settings. And there are many. Active Noise Canceling Type that is adjustable from none to maximum. Be Aware Audio allows you to increase or decrease the amount of the outside environment that is let in. It seemed to me that at its highest, I was amplifying the outside somewhat. EQ CUSTOMIZATION allows you to fine-tune the sound by adjusting the equalizer settings. There are three default settings - called Custom EQ3 Sound, which features JLab Signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost, and a 4th option 'Custom'. I believe the out-of-the-box setting is what you first hear upon initial setup. I really did not like it. Do not judge the JLab by their choice …. or maybe you’ll love it. I actually preferred CUSTOM, even before I made any changes. There is also a SPATIAL AUDIO switch and MOVIE MODES. As expected, there are a preset group of adjustments (track changes, volume, etc.) you can make with on-earbud button presses, and you are able to modify them. The App offers some ambient background sounds/noises and a burn-in feature. (Burn-in prepares the earbuds for use with a lengthy loud sound. Be careful to have the earbuds REMOVED from your ears before you use it!) Did you know that JLab sells a set of Cloud Foam tips for $10 if the 3 pairs of included tips are not sufficiently comfortable. PERFORMANCE: With my preferred settings, I was impressed with the rich and detailed sound of voices and every musical genre I sampled. The original “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’”, after my preferred equalization, sounded even better than I remembered that 1960s classic. U2’s “Love Comes Tumbling” had the desired rhythmic bass lines. Voices were completely accurate, and there is no sign of listening fatigue after a lengthy listening session. These are enjoyable earbuds. I tested NOISE REDUCTION and BE AWARE and they are both effective. Rumblings sound were much reduced, while nearby voices broke through the noise reduction. I detected a lag, sometimes taking seconds, for modes to switch, and the switches and buttons in that App area were unnecessarily complicated and maybe redundant. SUMMARY: These are enjoyable earbuds. They can be fully adjusted in numerous ways to achieve a desirable sound, one that I prefer. JLAB has managed to deliver a rich sound, that stays clear even at louder volumes and with a feature set most unusual at this price point. I’m not sure how they do it. My primary complaint is that many of these features exist in a vacuum of descriptions, instructions, or explanations. The end user shouldn’t have to research the product. There is certainly more to learn about these JLABS which I’d love to see in the APP as a Help Tool. I still believe these are a great value that I will use regularly. Easy recommendation.

I own a decent number of true wireless in-earbuds from JLab and these are among the latest. The obvious paralleles to airpods will be obvious, except the price point. $60 for a pair of long lasting, noise cancelling ear pods is nothing to sneeze at. These can fit into tiny pockets and be brough with you and work right as you open and connect them. No hassel, no overthinking. Just put them in and listen to whatever you want. It's that easy. Sure, sound quality does not blow you out of the water, but they do what they need to and that's enough for me.

I'm actually super impressed with these earbuds. I got these as my purse earbuds after using galaxy buds2 for years and these are almost just as good. The ANC is adaptive as in one earbud will activate when it detects loud sounds and then the other one will turn on if it gets louder in the room or the sound moves.

I’ve been using the JLab JBuds ANC Pods in black for a bit now, and for the price, they actually hold up better than expected—especially if you’re someone who values solid ANC and a comfortable, low-profile design. Right out of the box, the carry case is compact and clean, with a built-in USB charging cable tucked underneath, which I actually appreciate when I don’t want to go digging around for a separate cable. It charges via USB-C too, so it’s modern and convenient. Battery life is more than decent. I was getting around 8 hours on a full charge with ANC off, and just under that with it on. The case adds a couple more charges, so I rarely found myself running low. I’ve used them throughout the day—Zoom calls, music sessions, even while running errands—and battery anxiety wasn’t a thing. As for sound quality, it's good for casual listening. Mids are balanced, the low-end gives just enough thump, and vocals come through clearly. That said, things can get a bit sharp at higher volumes. It's not a deal-breaker, but I found myself keeping the volume a couple clicks lower than max to avoid fatigue. Thankfully, there's an onboard EQ built into the touch controls—three modes you can cycle through without needing an app: JLab Signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost. I stuck with the Balanced mode most of the time. Fit was tricky at first. The default medium tips kept slipping out during walks, but once I switched to the smaller ear tips, they stayed locked in way better. Once you get the fit right, the ANC kicks in impressively well. It does a solid job at knocking out most ambient noise—AC hum, street sounds, even background chatter at the coffee shop. For something in this price range, the noise cancellation surprised me in the best way. There’s also a Be Aware mode that uses the external mics to let in outside sound, which came in handy when I was walking around downtown or waiting for my name at a cafe. It doesn’t sound too artificial or hissy like some other budget earbuds I’ve tried. One small thing I wish they included is auto play/pause when you remove an earbud. That feature’s missing here, so your music or podcast keeps playing even if you pop one out to talk to someone. But on the bright side, you can use either earbud independently, which is great for calls or just keeping one ear free while multitasking. Overall, the JBuds ANC Pods deliver on value. They’re not tuned for audiophiles, but they sound solid, the ANC is better than expected, and the case is sleek and pocketable. If you’re after everyday earbuds that can block out noise, give you control over your sound, and last through the day, these are easy to recommend—just swap the tips to find the right fit, and you’re good to go.

These JLAB JBuds Pods noise cancelling true wireless headphones are great. Incredibly compact and nice build with impressive sound quality. I really enjoy the compact size of both the buds themselves and their charge case, which makes it easy to take them anywhere. Design and build are top notch with an attractive true wireless configuration and low-profile look. They’re also durable and splashproof so they are built to last with quality construction. Design and Comfort Comma shape design keeps them low profile but easy to handle while inserting or removing. Multiple sizes of gel ear tips for custom fit easily makes these incredibly comfortable right out of the box. Very lightweight makes them functional for extended use without fatigue or sore ears after a while. The fit is very comfortable and secure with the included adjustable ear tip sizes which keep them in place without the need to insert them too deep into my ears. Black body with a small JLAB emblem on the gray insert really makes them aesthetically pleasing and sets these apart from other plain earbuds. Sound Quality Sound quality is fantastic! They deliver clear highs and deep bass for a well-balanced sound and enjoyable audio experience. Hybrid active noise cancellation works very well in crowded areas, noisy environments, or even just the wind while outside. Thie is especially noticeable for me if I’m outside working and receive a phone call, the person on the other end isn’t constantly bombarded by the noise of the breeze. 6 dedicated microphones help with this as well and make calls nice and clear. Battery Life and Connectivity Excellent battery life with 10 hours of playback in each bud itself and up to 56 hours of playback when paired with the charging case. They’ve never died on me. I charge them about once a week and haven’t had any problems. The case has its own battery that charges the buds while they’re in there and the case itself holds several charges in it, so if I just remember to put them back in the case between uses and then charge the case once a week or so, I never run out of juice. Also has an awesome feature of 10-minute quick charge to get 2 hours of playback time, perfect for if you do forget to charge them but want to use them for a workout, flight, or whatever, you can get those 2 hours of charge pretty quickly. These earbuds also support multi-device pairing with Bluetooth multipoint, which I love, so I’m not constantly switching the pairing when using different devices. The JLAB app is great for total customization and equalizer. An intuitive companion app for getting the best experience out of the earbuds without too much effort. Overall, I think these are a great pair of earbuds at an excellent price. Lots of features that all work well together to deliver comfort, call quality, and a terrific listening experience.
