I was looking for a portable, lightweight tripod to take with me on hikes & through airports and this Handypod clip is perfect. It can secure my big Android phone, doesn't weigh much at all, and the clip works well with my backpack's straps / loops for easy & quick access as needed. Being an engineer, I really appreciate the quality of materials & manufacturing plus the efficient design as well: making the 3rd leg of the tripod also the clip is ingenious.

This is not the best stand. It works fine when my phone is horizontal, but when I attempt to use it vertically, it’s very difficult to get the right balance. Additionally I have to remove my phone case to get the phone to fit in the the holder comfortably.

Item works pretty well. However if you have a shiny / rounded edge silicone case with the iphone, it was difficult to use as my phone would fall out every so often. the cord didn't seem to keep my phone in place. I think it is because of the type of phone case I had with the iphone 13 pro. Additionally with the iphone 13 pro the placement of the volume down button got in the way in the sleeve for this Joby Tripod. I tried to move it away, however, this made the phone off center and likely contributed to the phone falling out of the case.
The hand function worked great. I liked how easy it was to hold the actual device with the hand insert feature. I'd say if you use this, you need a non shiny phone call. I think a matte case and a case with more grip on the edge vs a slick/ shiny edge would pair better with this tripod. With that being said, ok to use on ground. I would not use this near water or extremely hard (concrete) surfaces to prevent damage to phone/phone case if you have a shiny non grip edge on the phone case.

This little gadget isn't so bad. It actually help my DJI Osmo 5 and it can also be used with your phone.
Only issues that I had were that the ballhead was a bit too lose and so my phone would keep tilting down, maybe the weight of my phone? (But i onlt have a very light silicone case on it.
It's great that you can attach to your bag, backpack, purse, etc. Very light weight

This worked great for a plane trip. And also for art projects/crafts done in areas where there were no TV’s available. It has been more useful than I had anticipated. It was a little spendy though.

It worked well for travelling. I think because of the size it is not always 'steady' and flops a bit. It was good, because my arms are not long and it gave me a few extra inches for taking group selfies. I took it recently on travels...one thing you need to remember, it needs a table or something to stand on.

Good for travel or keep it sleek at your office. It would be nice if the head had a locking system when carrying in your backpack.

Works well for smaller thin phones and does not work at all for the larger more thicker phones like the Galaxy S24ultra.
The thicker, larger phones are too heavy for the tripod.
Recommended for smaller petite and light weight phones.
