The glass screen is like a cellphone. Very responsive screen, fairly intuitive, just takes a bit of use to get familiar with. My big issue is my ipod nano 7th generation with lightning adapter can only be connected via bluetooth, doesn't show artwork. I understand the ipod is older but it should be backward compatible. My 2010 stock unit in my other vehicle works the ipod more effectively. Other than that CarPlay and android auto work great. The user manual could be better. HD radio 2nd and 3rd channels to some time to figure out how to tune

This stereo is horrible and as a traveling Photographer where my car is my mobile office as I literally drive in mountains and in places that do not have great signals in order to get those awesome photos of Nature and Landscapes! I needed a stereo with a built-in GPS unit - which the salesman told me this unit has but does not! That's not acceptable for me as navigation won't work on my unit and will only work on my phone with Android Auto, and it only gets worse from here... It won't connect to my phone and says USB device over current status detected when I do connect it as it's needed for Waze and Google Navigation and doesn't do a lot of the things that it says it will do. I already made an appointment today at Noon to hopefully get this unit switched out with the right Kenwood stereo as I am not happy with this at all and do not recommend this stereo to anyone! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $50 more on the one with the built-in GPS/Garmin Unit, and I promise you that you'll be happy with it! It doesn't matter if you have a cell phone signal or not, you'll still be able to have navigation preloaded in your stereo of the North America and will be able to get out the places that don't have great signals! Also, Android Auto and Apple Carplay won't even work with this unit and I am very unhappy with it! It just keeps saying USB device over current detected, won't sync with my phone (except for the phone book) and this is not a highend unit to buy for $599.99 as it doesn't do the features that says it will!! I'm going to spend that extra $50 on the stereo I want today as I hope they will allow me to return it with the receipt as it's the last day on the 30th day that I bought it and will return it for the right unit that's going to work and not give me these problems along with the built-in GPS unit and things that I truly do need! Look at the 2 photos below to verify what I'm saying!

I own a 2013 Chevy Silverado and have always told my wife the only thing I didn’t like about the truck was the radio. The stock radio wouldn’t play my music through Bluetooth and when plugged in to USB port it would automatically start playing the first song in my iTunes music. Was annoying. She got me this radio for my birthday and I will take this radio with me to whatever vehicle I own now. It has tons of adjustments and presets to use for whatever music type you like. It loads my Apple play, google maps, waze, podcasts...whatever I need it to do it does quick and without a hiccup. It had the ability to plug a back up camera in it and I haven’t done that yet but that will be my Next purchase for truck. I haven’t watched a dvd on it but it has that ability. It’s not HD quality when watching one though. Bottom line: if you have a smart phone and still have an archaic stock radio. You will love this one. If you don’t have a smart phone then I wouldn’t buy this radio because you can get a much cheaper radio that does what you need it to do just as well

Just had it installed at Best Buy Geek Squad! I'm simply amazed at how kick butt this stereo is!! This has turned my 2007 Chevy Silverado truck into a brand new truck! Amazing sound and controls are perfect and easy to use. Worth every penny I spent on this unit!

This stereo has a great display. Android auto and weblink are both okay. Android Auto basically takes over my phone and you can really exit out of it all the way without turning bluetooth off and/or unplugging it. That could be my phone, the app itself, or the radio. Not really sure. Weblink is conceptually awesome but lacks apps and the apps they do have feel way behind amd need updated. Overall I am happy with this stereo though as sound and picture quality is good.

This is one of the best Kenwood Receivers I've ever bought. Easy to use and super simple to connect and auto connect your phone to. The fact that it has a 13 band EQ is amazing and sounds great the apple car play works great also. The phone calls sound great all around a great product if you can get this at a discount then go for it well worth it!

This was designed with the user in mind. Best anti-glare screen on the market. Simple setup. Integrates both dash cam and back up cams seemlessly

This deck does it all. I spend more time in my truck than I do anyplace due to my job. Music is a big part of my life an I enjoy listening to Pod Casts. The Apple car play feature is awesome for hands free controls, answer texts, ask Seri to call someone, and play your favorite song. Great investment!

Tricky install into a 10 year old mercedes, worth rhe effort. Stock speakers sound betteer but i will upgrade. Really like the apple interface. Havent even tried the cd/dvd a month in.

Absolutely love this radio. Had a pioneer before and this one is so much easier to work. It’s android and Apple ready and has a dvd drive as well for my kids.

We bought this (and other "stuff") as part of an aftermarket backup camera. This unit does just about everything except drive the vehicle. Totally satisfied!

Had this installed on my Jeep that had a stock system. Works perfectly and looks stock! Have to have my CarPlay!!

I had Best Buy install this in my car, and the installer did a terrific job. The only problem was that Waze didn't work from the start, Android auto is finicky at best and the entire thing keeps disconnecting when I got a bump (or not). Sometimes it does it when sitting at a light. I then have to unplug my phone and plug it back in. I don't know if this is just an Android Auto thing or if it's related to the head unit directly. And to to it off Android Auto just announced they're completely revamping the entire UI. Terrific.

This Kenwood stereo lives up to all the hype! Buy it!

This is my second double din Kenwood deck. I did the install myself. It did take me a little while to get the wiring completed.

Easy to use and transitions between ios and android seamlessly. Have two and headed for a third !!!

Still bumping after 2 years. Not one issue w this head unit. Hooked w kicker 1200w amp & 10" subs also from BB. All still turning heads & bumping. Only wish I could fit 15s in the corvette so it could be heard a few blocks away & not just 1-2 blocks lol. I would purchase again. Oh I wish I can watch blue ray disc instead of just dvds.

Screen is beautiful and sound is excellent. Would recommend this to anyone.
