    Decent, But I Want Improvements

    I like strong coffee and convenience. Keurig Classics just didn't do it for me. Keurig is getting close to the mark with the 2.0, but I'm not ecstatic about that one either. The more expensive versions may have the additional features I want, but they are not in my price range. I tried a Bella single serve and was disappointed in the brew strength and effectiveness of the reusable grounds container (I don't want to be throwing away pods constantly, so I want a good reusable). I returned it. Bought this Keurig "1.0" and used it for a week. Sure is convenient, but I had to use way more coffee than I should just for a 6oz cup if I was using the reusable container. Plus, the temp of the water was not hot enough (like 185—should be around 200). I ended up returning this for the K-200 "2.0" and the newer 2.0 reusable pod. Much better. Still needs to be slightly hotter water, but the 2.0 is more efficient with the amount of grounds due to the "strong" setting that allows for more "steeping" from water pulses rather than a steady stream. 4 Stars for the 2.0, only 3 for this one. Don't get it unless you are a casual coffee drinker and can find it for under $60, otherwise, invest in the 2.0 or look at some of the other brands—they are becoming more common.

    I really like this coffemaker. I had the B60 Keurig but it stopped working but you got to know that it was between 11 and 12 yrs old, I couldn't get another B60 so I bought this one the B50 on Oct 1, 2016 and it arrived a few days later at my home. I did the necessary wash-clean and prepare the coffeemaker to make coffee. I really like it so far as it is quiet and seems to be very good at making a cup of coffee in just a couple minutes. I just couldn't imagine being without this coffeemaker. It makes my day when I want coffee there is only a minute or so between thought and coffee in my hand. It doesn't have the cup sizes, clock , temperature control like the B60 but it does have the Descale and I do like that. It has just the right amount of dodads for me and it makes "great coffee" and isn't that what the aim is? I am very happy with my purchase. I also bought the replacement warranty so it if does go down I will get a brand new one or they will fix this one for me. So right now I am a happy Best Buy customer. Oh yes, and I do use my own k-cup from the B60 and it fits perfectly so I can use my own coffee of which I love. So happy here for sure. Thanks Best Buy for being there!!!

    Keurig Makes A Great Cup Of Coffee

    I was not a big fan of the single serve idea at first. I had been making a 12 cup pot of coffee everyday for many years, but my wife just had to have a Keurig. Now we keep a nice assortment of flavors at the ready and I only make and drink one cup at a time. I don't have to change filters, measure scoops, or wash the pot daily. Just turn on the Keurig as needed pop in a K-cup of whatever flavor and every cup is a great cup of coffee. The Keurig has made me a fan because it is easy from the first day. Easy assembly, just wash and rinse reservoir when needed, change the filter every two months and that's it. Only turn on when needed and if you forget to turn it off it will turn off automatically after a while. The Keurig makes your choice of 3 size cups Small- 6 oz. Medium- 8 oz. Large- 10 oz. The cup area accommodates travel thermal cups and wide cups.

    I really like this coffee maker. Everyone can have their own perfect fresh cup of coffee whenever they want itI I never buy k-cups, instead I purchased refillable ones and use the coffee of my choice. That way is less expensive and much more environmentally friendly. I like the Keurig, but have stayed away from the 2.0 models because of the magnetic reader requiring branded k-cups. This is my second purchase of this exact model. The first died after a little less than 2 years. But friends have some that have lasted much longer. I am hoping for better luck with my second unit. The only other thing I know of that could be seen as a problem is that it splatters a bit while dispensing the coffee.

    We purchased the Keurig K50 after the Keurig B70 we had for several years quit working correctly. I knew I wanted another Keurig but wasn't sure which model, we found this model at a good price and went with it. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some, but it works well and gets the job done. It doesn't have an automatic timer to turn on in the mornings and I do miss that, but the K50 heats up quickly, it does have an automatic 2 hour turn off button you can set. You can't adjust the temperature of the coffee. It's very basic, but I'm happy with it and highly recommend it. If we decide later to get one with more features, my husband can take this one to his office.

    I was skeptical of Keurig individual coffeemakers when they first came out. Now I couldn't imagine my life without one. If you always want a fresh cup of coffee or tea or various other hot drinks, this coffee brewer is fabulous. It heats rapidly and allows you to pick between three cup sizes. There is wide variety of coffee types available, as well as tea, hot chocolate, cider, cappuccino, etc. It is easy to keep clean and looks nice. I watch for sales on the K-cups and stock up ... that way I get my fresh cup of coffee for around 50-60 cents. Since there is only one coffee drinker in my household, this is more cost effective that brewing a 4 to 8 cup pot and throwing much of it out. I've owned my first Keurig almost 4 years now and I've had no problems. This makes a great gift.

    I had a Bunn MyCafe MCU, which I bought because of its versatility. Then one day I found thousands of ants inside the machine and had to throw it away :( The hubby had been wanting a Keurig for a long time, so I thought, this is a perfect time to give it a try. All I can say is, I should have bought it sooner! This is an excellent machine. The water heats up quickly (a must when you want your coffee at 5 AM!). It's very simple to operate. The coffee is ready within minutes and the coffee comes out delicious! The temperature is just perfect. The best thing about the Keurig is the variety of coffee available. I feel like a kid with a new toy each time I try a new flavor of coffee. LOVE IT!

    I bought this product not being sure if I was going to use it often, however, I was trying to keep myself from spend $5-$7 a day at Starbucks or Dunkin'. But I have owned this product since June and have used it every single day! It is so simple and easy to turn on and brew. It also cuts your wait time down to maybe 2-3 minutes between warming up and brewing. I no longer sit in a 10-15 minute line in the mornings to grab my coffee. Lastly, they have such a wide variety of different drinks that can be made. I find their drink variety to be very inclusive for all types of hot beverage drinkers. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to someone who is looking for convenience and simplicity in their life.

    Sometimes older is better !

    I have an older model and picked this one up on a good sale to have as a backup for one reason only... the newer ones will reject any non-official (non-Keurig) pod you put in them. They'll give you an error message on the screen and not brew unless what you put in them is an official Keurig or approved pod. Yes, there are way to tinker with the inner workings of the machine to disable this, but you shouldn't have to. These older models don't do this - you can put whatever brand pod you want into them and they just work. Which is how they should if you pay for them. So ask yourself if you REALLY need the fancy features of the newer and pricier versions of this machine. Maybe you don't and can avoid the hassle.

    I was a holdout, using my regular old coffee maker and insisting I didn't need a Keurig. It is definitely less expensive to use regular coffee and fill your own pods but I have fallen in love with the convenience of Kcups. Also I am very glad I did my research and bought 1st generation so that I can use any kcups and not just those licensed by Keurig. My only "complaint" is that I wish the water reservoir was bigger and had some kind of handle to make removing and replacing it easier.

    I have had a single-cup Keurig coffee maker for many years, at least 5, and I love the convenience and flexibility to have different flavors/types of hot drinks throughout the day. Since our original Keurig had some years on it, and since I wanted another K-cup machine for my workshop, I decided to buy a new replacement for our kitchen and move the original out to the workshop. While I will say that the new coffee maker works just fine, the quality in the product is not what I expected for a second, or third, generation machine. More plastic, less metal. And just as noisy as the original, if not louder. All this being said, I'll stick with it and see which one lasts the longest.

    I bought this gift for a family member for our Christmas Family Gift Exchange event. When I first saw that they wanted a Keurig I immediately assumed that was a joke because of how expensive these little appliances can be. I did a quick internet search and Best Buy's deal popped up right away. Of course I checked a few other retailer's prices and Best Buy had the best deal on this particular Keurig. I was sold. The gift was a hit during the gift exchange. Everyone assumed I spent a small fortune on the gift. And the best part is my coffee loving cousin enjoys it and will save hundreds of dollars a year making her own coffee at home now.

    Noisy Beyond Belief

    I first got a Keurig mini several years ago and loved it. After it got some age on it I thought it would be nice to replace it with one I didn't have to fill with water every time. After using it for a couple weeks, I cannot believe the noise this thing makes. Honestly. It makes good coffee, but as it heats up it makes such popping and cracking noises it actually wakes up my neighbor as I live in an apartment building. I rarely can use it now unless I know they are awake. I am so embarrassed and shocked that not all Keurig products perform the same. I am going to buy another mini as soon as I can afford it. This was a terrible disappointment. Too bad.

    OMG!!! Wasn't a fan of these when they first came out a few years ago, but having to be at my new job for 6:15am alert and productive a coffee pot came to mind. Stopped in at BB say all the option they had to making coffee, then I saw the Keurigs on display. Started playing with them, but it was not until I realized they had hot coco/herbal tea K-Cup I fell in love.....bought the one 1 step above the beginner, it's easy to use, very convenient and it's an item the whole house uses from age range 10 to 45 ;-)

    I've been roasting, grinding, and brewing my own coffee by hand for years, and this is the first automated coffee brewer in this price range that has gotten a thumbs up from me. I bought this as a gift for my roommate with no intentions of using it myself, but found myself pleased with its ingenuity and ease of use. I'll still make a better cup of coffee by hand, but that takes upwards of 10 minutes. With this Keurig, I can toss my beans in my electric burr grinder and grind those while the Keurig warms up, put them in a reusable K-cup, and have a pretty decent cup of (hot!) coffee in about 15 more seconds. Convenience is the name of the game, here. Pretty cool!

    I had one of these but when it broke thought I'd go back to old fashioned percolator. That didn't work out. I decided to go with this machine and I am very happy with it. System is good, stores water for about 4 medium cups. Brews quickly and cleanly. One point: I bought the device that inserts and allows you to brew coffee you buy by the pound instead of the packages. There are hundreds of varieties of bagged coffee and the one I chose works well, the taste is very good. A big plus, you don't add plastic containers to the waste stream. Overall a worthwhile investment.

    This is my second Keurig. Bought the same model as the first. Had the first one for several years. Worked fine, still does. But, I came home one day and found my Keurig strewn around the kitchen floor, courtesy of my dogs. Reservoir was cracked and a few other parts damaged, but I sealed reservoir with Gorilla glue and it has been fine so far. Use it every day. Bought the second Keurig as a backup. Ya never know! Cannot take the chance I won’t have my coffee 1st thing in the morning. My dogs’ lives have been spared!

    Purchased this for the wife as a replacement for her old one. She loved it so much that I had to but her another one... She uses it every day, many times a day. I highly suggest if you're thinking of purchasing a Keurig (any one), that you consider purchasing refillable pods and using store bought coffee grounds or grinding your own rather than buying the overpriced K-cups... (but this review isn't about the k-cups, so I won't say anything more about that)... All in all, like I said, my wife loves her Keurig so much that I just had to buy her a new one. She is an avid coffee drinker, about 10 - 15 cups per day and she uses nothing but her Keurig.

    i have been wanting one of these coffee makers for a long time. i got one for christmas from my daughter, opened it on dec 25th, started using it and as time passed, it took longer and longer for the water to heat up. on january 24th it wouldn't even turn on. we got ahold of keurig and asked what could be done. the guy took all of our information and said someone would be calling us the next day. nobody called back. one month later and still nobody has called us back. didn't even get to use it for a full month. am now looking at other brands.
