Right before a dinner party, my 16 year-old JennAire double convection oven malfunctioned to the point where we turned off the power to it. Over the years, we used it for roasts, loaves and loaves of bread and dozens of cookies and casseroles. We researched double ovens, read reviews and stumped around to different stores to see what was available. With a special price and a deal for free installation, we decided on the KitchenAid and I'm glad we did.
Compared to my old oven, this one is eerily quiet. You really can't hear the fans - just a faint whistling sound and, since it's still fairly new, some creaking and settling noises. I haven't used the express pre-heat feature - but it only takes 15 minutes or so for the oven to heat up.
I've used the proofing feature - it's great when the kitchen is too cold for bread to rise normally. Bread, cookies, muffins and tarts have come out perfectly done.
It's very entertaining to turn on the oven light - almost like a theater! Because the window is so large, I have been cleaning it once a week. You wouldn't want gunk to build up on it and spoil the show. General cleanup is easy - but that's probably because I've been wiping up any spills right after baking.
Some minor annoyances - the oven light turns on both ovens. You should be able to turn them on separately. Also, there's only one timer - there should be separate timers for each oven.
All-in-all, I've been very happy with this oven...and can recommend it to anyone who enjoys baking at home.

The oven has worked great so far. Bakes evenly and wasn't hard to figure out how to use. It's quieter than my 18 year old kitchen aid it replaced. My only complaint would be that it protrudes out from the opening. I didn't realize there was an additional flush mount kit that I needed to order to get it flush like the old one. Best Buy doesn't sell the kit so they wouldn't have installed it that way anyway I guess although it is a safety concern. The part of the door that sticks out is obviously hot to the touch. Would have done it differently if I had known about the kit.

So, I am no cook. I would subject no one, not even my worst enemy, to the food I cook. My husband, however, is insanely talented when it comes to all things meat, grains, vegetables, you name it. I just clean up the mess that ensues when my husband tornadoes through the kitchen to make family meals. It’s a system that works for us, and I am grateful.
My husband, being the adventurous, delightful cook that he is, could not WAIT to get his hands on this double oven. His parents have the same ovens, albeit an older model. This was the first appliance installed during our kitchen remodel, and the day we received it, he immediately set to cooking chicken cordon bleu for some grieving family members. Oh. My. Goodness. This dish was.. WOW. I can say my husband’s cooking prowess is renowned and all, but I cannot help but think these ovens were the reason the food turned out so fantastic. I don’t know if it’s because we had a range from the early 90’s and were fortunate enough to purchase this model, but everything that has been baked, cooked, whatever in these ovens has tasted absolutely phenomenal. It’s beautiful, functions how I would imagine a darn good oven should function, and is easy and straightforward to operate. It doesn’t heat up the whole house either, which is something I was really concerned about. These ovens make me want to educate myself a bit more in the culinary arts, and that is not something I would have ever imagined for myself. I can also finally see our household being able to comfortably host a Thanksgiving because of this tremendous workhorse of a double oven. Maybe.

I'm enjoying my new ovens! I have only made cookies so far, but they both heated evenly and as expected. I had the same set in a prior home and had an excellent experience with those so went with the same Kitchenaid brand when my old GE Profile (circa 2008) double wall ovens went kaput in this house. I love the look and function of these ovens. For the money, they look and act like higher-end equipment. The digital display at the top is very easy to use, even without instruction. And the blue interior makes me smile whenever I open the oven door. I love the slide out top rack, too. Great set.

Sits Tall in Opening

First, this is an excellent oven. That being said, for those of you looking to replace an older KitchenAid double oven with a new one as I did, be advised the control panel is taller by about half an inch over the older models. It still has the same cutout/mounting requirements, but the exterior dimension is taller. This meant the cabinet doors above the oven wouldn't fit. In my application, I was able to lower the shelf the oven sits on, and all was well.

I have two thermometers hanging in the ovens. I have to preheat for an hour before it comes close to the temp I need, even though within ten minutes the oven tells me it’s ready and it’s at the selected temperature.
Also, the steam drips from the top oven to the inside of the glass door of the bottom oven then down to the floor. See picture. There is no way yo clean between the glass doors. If you bake a lot, you’re gonna have a horrible looking mess of a glass door on your hands. When the sun hits the doors, it’s even more unsightly. If clean looking ovens are important to you, I would stay away from this design.

I’ve always wanted a double oven and the Kitchenaid was the perfect model for my needs. I wish there was a timer for each oven but I just use the alarm on my cell phone. Also the timer alert isn’t loud enough. Besides those two items it is perfect.

From the time we went into the store, talk to the store and talk to the employee and deliver to the home was outstanding no problems. We love our new double KitchenAid oven. Our old kitchen aid oven was still working but seem to be getting weak. It lasted us for over 25 years. It was a 24 inch now we have the new improved 30 inch beautiful.

Best oven I have ever owned. It does have fans that cool down the oven so if that bothers you know in advance that they exist, have a purpose and you can not turn them off. Longest they have run is about 10mins. They make a fan noise less than my A/C. I use a copper mat to catch drips but there is no exposed burner so cleaning is easier.

My oven conked out and I was glad. I had my eyes set on a KitchedAid oven for years and now Im glad to be "in the family." Im very simple and its hard to find ovens with dials anymore. Yeah - Im not joking. I looked. So I accepted I was going to have to go digital. What I didn't expect was the ease of using the features of this oven. What looks very complex and high tech is really simple to use. But Im not telling. I love the racks and their sturdiness and the automatic manner in how the oven converts your temperature to a convection temp. I can't wait to keep cooking into the upcoming holidays.

We had a whirlpool oven for over 14 years and loved it. We just refaced our kitchen cabinets and wanted to switch to stainless steel. When looking we found this beautiful oven at a great price so we ordered it and also got the refrigerator using the great finance options that Best Buy offered. My wife and I couldn’t be happier.

DON'T BUY HERE, DON'T PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY! Here's what happened with a dishwasher I purchased:
BEST BUY….BLACK FRIDAY, BLACK MOLD….BEWARE!!!
I have been purchasing appliances from Best Buy for years; all is GREAT until something goes WRONG! Then Best Buy and their insurance companies deny, divert, and disappear!
The last appliances I purchased from Best Buy included a dishwasher with delivery and installation. It was installed incorrectly or it was defective to begin with. The drain line ruptured and cause black mold and mildew issues; damaging the new flooring and cabinets in a new custom built home.
Best Buy diverted the claim to contracted installer, CRST. CRST first denied the claim stating they did not install. After proving that they installed, CRST denied the claim saying a rodent caused the rupture. After proving that a rodent did not cause the rupture, CRST agreed and forwarded the claim their 3rd party installer (Subsonic Deliveries And Installations LLC ) and Subsonic’s insurance company Sutton Specialty Insurance Company and/or Golden State Claims Adjusters. It has become a spiders web to know which insurance company is responsible. Golden State Claims Adjusters states they didn’t provide coverage and Sutton Specialty is stating Golden State did provide coverage. All I know, is I purchased the Dishwasher from Best Buy, with delivery and installation; and their contractors installed it incorrectly! I now have a BLACK MOLD AND MILDEW PROBLEM that cost over $26,000 to repair.
I
To date, Golden State has denied the claim due to no coverage, CRST has switch horses and has denied the claim AND has confirmed that they may have sent the claim to the incorrect insurance company and will forward the claim to the correct insurance company though CRST has denied it….which makes no sense. And Sutton Specialty Insurance has disappeared from contact though the Washington State Labor and Industries website lists them as the insurance company, and BEST BUY has disappeared from taking responsibility.
So, if you want to buy appliances this BLACK FRIDAY or sooner, or later….DON’T purchase them from Best Buy with delivery and installation, you may think you are saving $$$ but it could likely cost you $26,000 or more in damages. Not to mention the irritation of writing a review like this, dealing with BEST BUY management, dealing with Insurance companies and insurance adjusters.
