Whether you're gaming, streaming, or multitasking, this laptop handles it all with ease. The 16GB of RAM ensures smooth operation even with multiple applications running, and the 512GB SSD provides fast boot times and ample storage for games and media. Display The 16-inch WUXGA display is a standout feature, offering sharp and vibrant visuals. The high resolution ensures that games and videos look crisp, and the colors are rich and well-saturated. The display's refresh rate is smooth, making fast-paced games more enjoyable. Design and Build Quality Lenovo has crafted the Legion Slim 5 with a sleek and modern design. The Storm Grey finish gives it a professional look that is both stylish and understated. Despite being a gaming laptop, it maintains a relatively slim and lightweight profile, making it portable without sacrificing power. Keyboard and Trackpad The keyboard on the Legion Slim 5 is comfortable and responsive, with good key travel that is perfect for both gaming and typing. The backlighting is customizable, allowing you to personalize your gaming setup. The trackpad is smooth and precise, though most gamers will likely prefer using an external mouse for a better experience. Battery Life Battery life is often a concern with gaming laptops, and the Legion Slim 5 is no exception. While it performs admirably during gaming sessions, the battery life tends to be shorter under heavy use. However, for general productivity tasks, the laptop can last for a reasonable amount of time on a single charge. Ports and Connectivity This laptop offers a good selection of ports, including USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and an audio jack, catering to various connectivity needs. The inclusion of Wi-Fi 6 ensures fast and reliable internet connectivity, which is crucial for online gaming and streaming. Cooling System The cooling system in the Legion Slim 5 is effective, keeping the laptop cool even during extended gaming sessions. The fans can get a bit loud under heavy load, but they do a good job of maintaining optimal performance without thermal throttling. Value for Money Considering its specifications and performance, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 offers excellent value for money. It competes well with other gaming laptops in its price range, providing a balanced mix of performance, design, and portability. Conclusion The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16" Gaming Laptop is a fantastic choice for gamers and power users who need a portable yet powerful machine. With its robust performance, high-quality display, and stylish design, it stands out as a top contender in the gaming laptop market. While the battery life could be better, and the fans can be noisy, these are minor drawbacks compared to the overall experience this laptop provides. If you're in the market for a gaming laptop that can handle both work and play, the Legion Slim 5 is definitely worth considering.

I have had this laptop for the past 10ish or so days and it has worked amazing! It runs my games great. Fans get a bit loud under load but it does keep the components cool so no problems with that. When not playing games though the fans are very silent. The screen is nice and crisp too! 144hz feels so smooth and the colors on the panel are nice. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, I got a Zen 4 AMD CPU and a RTX 40 series card for $899 with a nice display too, I can't complain at all. I was coming from an M1 Macbook Pro and now whenever I use it, it feels so slow lol.

I am rating this by value first, because price matters. I got this as an "open box" so on top of the sale price it was bright down further to a cool $750. Getting a 60 series GPU laptop 6 months after release for $750 with a decent CPU (also new) is kind of insane. The performance is great for the class and price. I'm VERY happy with it. I got it specifically for editing photo/video when away from my desktop and tethering for photo shoots. I DON'T use it for gaming BUT I did load Control on it and cranked the ray tracing and it was great, no lagging. I didn't check but I'm sure it was at least 60fps average. The ONLY downside is the screens color gamut. Very lacking but for my work flow, I just do color grades at home and plug my monitor in. But by then everything else is done so its still saving me TONS of time having a mobile editing/tethering rig. Battery life is ok not great at all but its a "slim gaming" form factor, that to be frank, isn't that slim. But given that, I wasnt expecting super long battery life anyway and (depending on what you're doing) t holds up just fine for me. Great value and very capable for most work applications. Plus, who doesnt love LED keyboards?

I needed a work/game laptop and did not know if this would cover both fronts. I have to say that it has done that very well with no issues other than a short battery time. The graphics work well in Starfield and AC Ragnarok, and my work stuff. It is not too noisy and not too heavy and the price range is fantastic for the performance it gives back.

I’m using this machine nearly still the performance is great. I play more than 4 hrs a day and never notice lag in performance. Following is the game I played and the machine can handle like nothing The last of us one, RDR 2, GTA V, Resident evil 4 remake, A plague tale requiem, shadow of the tomb raider, God of war PC, It’s worth buying. I just upgraded additional 2TB SSD to storage. It is very well all rounded PC recommended for everyone.

Great budget computer. Super quiet and runs well for what it had in it. I love that it has another storage slot and you can upgrade the ram aswell.

Great 16” laptop. The aspect ratio is 16/10. I didnt think this was going to male a difference, but in games the 16/10 makes the screen feel much bigger. I needed something for video rendering amd online gaming in my free time. This worried me a bit since I was coming from an i7 11th gen/3070 combo. But that laptop started to feel very slow after updating it to win 11. I saw this on a deal and thought to give it a try. The amd 7640 is better than expected and battery life is almost 3x better than the intel I was on. The 4060 does outperform my previous 3070 laptop. And I had a full power 3070 laptop. This cost less than half of what I paid for in the i7/3070 combo. I am on COD and Starfield most of the time and easily get over 100+ fps in both. If you need something more powerful I would go for the amd 7840 series cpu but I havent had any experience with that cpu. The ryzen 7640 is more than capable and getting this with the 4060 for under $900 was a steal. It has an rgb keyboard and the lenovo suite to control fan speed. I havent really seen the gpu go over 70c while gaming. That could be due to the amd cpu not being as hot as intel. Cpu stays cooler so it keeps the gpu cooler. If you see this for under 1k$ consider it.

Brought this laptop in December of last year doing the review now since I wanted to see how it runs. It runs superb the graphics are lovely and you can even play heavy duty games like COD and others even on the highest settings. I do play light games on this since I use my pc for heavy games. The fan rarely does get loud but when it does its only for some seconds and then itll go quiet again. There will be finger smudges on the laptop but you can always clean those up. The rbg keyboard does change when clicking fn+space plus it quiet when typing.

The gaming laptop exceeded my expectations with its impressive performance and sleek design. The powerful graphics card delivered stunning visuals, while the high-speed processor ensured smooth gameplay. Its ample RAM and storage options allowed for seamless multitasking and ample game library storage. The RGB lighting added a cool aesthetic touch, making it an overall exceptional gaming experience.

I think it's a very good laptop, in every aspect. For games, daily use, design and everything. I played a couple of games that ask for very high requirements, and they go very well.

The laptop is a little on the bigger side and plasticy feel but the ports and the upgradibility aspect makes it a versatile device. It is not the best looking laptop for business but it packs a performance punch and is good for heavy duty tasks like coding and video editing.

Great laptop. Bought this for university engineering classes and its battery life is amazing when you get it configured correctly. I last a whole day of studying from 9am-7pm and still have a little under half left. It also runs games great on my external 1440p Monitor, Destiny 2 at max settings between 100 and 120fps. Only issue is one stuck pixel turns blue when its on a specific screen on canvas, but that is barely noticeable and your mileage may vary depending on your specific one. Highly recommend especially if its on sale

Love it for a gaming laptop it’s been great one issue is something’s the screen stays off after sleep but solved by switching to the nvida gpu full time the hybrid switch between the cpu graffics and gpu to save power wasn’t worth having to do a reboot of it stays blank battery life has been great not gaming of course gets upper 160-200 fps in cod on balanced settings

Wonderful performance. From browsing the web to graphic requested games. This unit is all I need to satify my gaming needs, while be fully funcional. Downside: heavy

Great laptop! Nice display, fast, solid build quality, great keyboard! Overall great experience.

Bought it on sale and couldn't be happier with the performance. Was getting 80fps on cyberpunk high settings and with dlss over 120. The lenovo software doesn't have anywhere that tells you thermal temps which is annoying but overall very happy with the purchase. 512 gigs is a little small but there is a 2nd m.2 slot which makes upgrading memory really easy.

I had a rocky start setting it up but overall I don't regret buying it, quite cheap for decent card and runs many games at high fps

My son absolutely loves this laptop. I bought it so he could download games from STEAM. Love the colors on the keyboard. Performance is lightning fast. Exactly what he wanted. I ended up buying 2 because the sale price was fantastic. Almost like getting 2 for the price of 1.

Just a stunning laptop. Ever since I got it, no regrets at all. Value is insane for the money you are putting on it and it delivers exactly what you want it to. Highly recommended if you are getting into RTX laptops and looking for 40 series cards. And Lenovo has great customer care so there's that.

Signed up and was approved for progressive leasing, paid off within 6 months. A fantastic laptop, especially for beefer games. A cheap option if need be ans a great brand overall. Love the RBG as well in the keyboard, helps when you game/work late at night.
