this laptop is a powerhouse in a very slim and portable package. professional applications including 3d modeling, video editing, and rendering all run smoothly with no hiccups with the i9-13905h cpu and rtx 4060 gpu combo. even gaming @ 1440p with high framerates is made possible with these components.
in my particular use case i have it docked with an external, 1440p monitor and am able to get 300+ fps on overwatch 2, 200+ on counter strike 2, and 100+ on AAA titles like cyberpunk 2077 and red dead redemption 2. while i'm out and about i'm able to enjoy the beautiful 3k, 165hz screen with very accurate and vibrant colors.
overall i am very impressed with what this laptop is capable of.

Screen is amazing, sound is really good and everything seems really good to the touch (including the screen)! It also feels very snappy.
This is replacing my well used (11 year old) and reliable MacBook Air and it seems it was a great choice!
Everything seems to be high quality and the screen is amazing thus far.
I occasionally use Solidworks and other CAD programs so we'll see if this has any troubles running any models (since it didn't seem the graphics card is certified by Solidworks). However, this has really good specs and it should work well for what I need.
By the way, it came very well packaged and seems Lenovo placed a lot of emphasis on it. It felt really good unboxing it!
I just hope it last at least half of what my MacBook lasted me.

High quality product. Great display (like the MacBook Pro), good performance, comfy keyboard. The touchpad works well but not in the same class with the Macbook pro. The touchpad click is too hard. The touchpad glassy surface is great. The battery is the only real issue. You will move from charger to charger. 3 hours the max I can get on battery saving mode if I don't do any performance heavy task.

Great product. The screen is very bright than other laptops in this genre. The i9 processor allows for a faster response time on some of the apps I use, such as Visual Studio. The 32GB is plenty for my purposes. One thing I would add that could help others is the charging via thunderbolt port. I found out that it only charges when you plug a charger that supports high watts, I can see it charging via thunderbolt port when I use a charger with 65W or higher.

This laptop is amazing. It is very powerful and capable of executing any task. If you are in to content creation, music production, editing, or any other heavy task this laptop can handle it. The only downfall of this laptop is its battery. The battery absolutely sucks! You MAY get 2.75 hours of use, but you will be looking for an outlet soon after. Other than its weak battery this laptop is capable of completing ANY task!

I have been using this computer not too long, but I do have some overall comments. I was a MacBook Pro 2019 i7 user and found out that Apple is really pricey for what you can get instead with a Microsoft operating system.
Personally, I was looking for a laptop capable of handling daily tasks, including student and data research. - I know there are certainly better and cheaper laptops for those purposes. However, I got it for a good price. The hardware is beyond efficient for content creators. My reason for 3.9 stars is battery life and weight.
Finally, I do not have any doubt that you can run any game - if this is one of your purposes besides work/study, keep in mind that battery life is mediocre and will run out pretty quickly under heavy load.

Great laptop if you are all the times close to an outlet or office. Not too great for students.

Powerful machine but the one Thunderbolt 4 port doesn't support charging. This after multiple calls with Lenovo tech support and customer service. If you want to set up your desk with a docking station, even the most expensive Lenovo Docking station. I used both the Lenovo ThinkPad Universal Thunderbolt 4 and The Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4. Neither one worked. Tried them both twice thinking they had bad cables etc.

The most amazing laptop ever!! Nothing you can’t do with this laptop. One thing I love is you can easily turn your mouse pad on and off. So when you type no worry about accidentally touching it. The picture is fantastic…the sound is beautiful. There is nothing about this laptop I do not love. One thing I would change would be a better battery life.

This laptop rocks. I was coming from 16 in MacBook Pro Max and this laptop tops that one. Super fast and the screen is gorgeous. It seems brighter than the MacBook which I so appreciate. It is a win win.

This laptop is awesome! Very solid quality build! Screen is not as bright as I thought it would be but you can definitely use it outside. I will definitely be upgrading to the new one when it gets a little cheaper only because I don't want the version with the i9 that had all the problems. Shame on intel for not replacing all of the 13th gen i9 processors. They know they have problems but they just crippled the processors with an update and only run them at 75% so they don't go bad. Early benchmarks prove this.

Store: I bought it brand new, and quality is excellent.
Laptop: I thought I will be able to work at least 4 hours, but 100% is equal to 1h 59 mins of just reading a pdf...
Battery: if you are not ready to be charging it every 2 hours, please don't consider it. I will repeat, the battery was brand new, which is equal to 2 hours of work...
Display: just wow, I like it.
Performance: excellent.

Outstanding Performance for Professional Use

The Lenovo Slim Pro 9 16IRP8 has exceeded my expectations. Although it’s equipped with powerful specs like the Intel Core i9, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, and a 1TB SSD, I mainly use it for office tasks rather than gaming. The performance is outstanding — everything runs incredibly fast and smoothly, from multitasking with heavy applications to handling large files effortlessly.
The 16" touch screen is vibrant and responsive, and the overall build quality feels premium and sturdy.
Even without pushing its gaming capabilities, it’s clear this machine is built for serious performance and highly recommended for professionals who want speed, reliability, and excellent craftsmanship.

I’ve owned this for nearly two months now … and every day I’m commenting to my wife how amazing this machine is. I’m a bit of a power-user, primarily building large presentations and large excel files. This machine is lightening fast!!
Another surprise for me is the amazing resolution of the display … and I love the facial recognition that maintains privacy but makes it quick and easy to access the computer without having to type passwords in. I absolutely love this and would buy another without hesitation.
