I use my laptop for engineering and business applics + video while travelling and dock it for my "desktop" when not on the road. light weight, small size, and battery life without sacrificing speed & power are my basic requirements. So far, the Yoga is delivering - AutoCad isn't slowing it down, it works seamlessly with different docking stations, and the screen is extremely vivid - sound is remarkable to me for such a small footprint. The battery life is less than my Lenovo X220 but still better than most people around me. This isn't the least expensive ultrabook out there but I think I got what I paid for. The Best Buy price was better than Lenovo direct - I got the memory upgrade "free" by comparison.

    Great guts, wrong OS

I love everything this computer wants to be. It has all the guts to be a beast - even more so than its newer/older brother, the Yoga Pro 3. However, in practice, Windows 8 destroyed the experience for me. As a disclaimer, I'm an Apple fanboy. I trusted that the powerful i7 processor with 8 GB of RAM and the sweet solid state drive and a gorgeous high resolution touchscreen would drive like a Ferrari on this PC. And it does! But with Windows, it's like a 16 year old driving a Ferrari during rush hour traffic down a crowded city street. 90% chance you don't know what you're doing and it's way too hard to get where you're trying to go. I wonder how Windows 10 will feel on it... Either way, I'll stick with my Macbook Pro!

As a laptop this thing is everything I could want. I'm a grad student, so I use it for emails, papers, ect, but it has enough power to run ArcGIS and any statistical analysis software I throw at it. The screen is beautiful, although I have to drop the resolution if I want programs to look usable on it. As a tablet it is clunky, and not a replacement for an iPad or Android tablet. Windows app store is lacking most of the best apps, and the ones it does have are not as smooth. It's a little too big, and the keyboard on the back feels awkward when in table mode. The screen however is really responsive, and I use the touch screen in "laptop" mode more than I thought I would. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

This little laptop is the best I have owned yet. It is incredibly fast and light weight. The dual purpose laptop/tablet has been very beneficial to my needs. The weight is comfortable enough to how for extended times without fatigue. I am pleased with this purchase.

Purchased this to replace an older laptop. I was sold on the weight and transportability of this unit. When compared to my older laptop, it was missing a lot of the features I liked. It doesn't have an Ethernet connection and only has a couple USB ports. I'd rather have a bulkier unit with all the features than this slimmed down version. In my opinion you'd be better off getting an actual tablet instead of this hybrid. The hi-res screen is nice, but many programs or apps don't support that high of a resolution. Also read a lot of reviews about the screen cracking.

This tablet is a replacement for a 5 year old Lenovo laptop that thoughtlessly died during a busy period of work. It was not my first choice but the best that was in stock at my local BestBuy. It has limitations, but I have been able to adapt things like an external monitor. Do not relly like Windows 8.1. Bring back Windows 7

Reviewing this laptop in 2015 leaves a different rating than in 2014. Competition has caught up -- there's a very nice Asus Zenbook for instance... -- and the prices on these haven't fallen off.

Light weight, high resolution screen, fast processor. Works well when utilizing for both home and work. The learning process for MS 8 has made the overall experience a little less satisfying (the major reason for the 3 stars). The system itself is very nice. When using the system in the computer mode it puts off a lot of heat through the exhausts, if it's sitting on your legs it becomes very uncomfortable. You also have to be careful when going from laptop to tablet mode. If you inadvertently hit keys (like I've done) you can end up changing your view .

Okay, what most impressed me was how Best Buy took care of me and subsequently my son. We bought a top of the line Asus PC for $1000 last summer for my son's first year at Cal Poly. While by design and specs it was a great choice, the one we got was simply a lemon. We had it in the shop five times and kept trying to negotiate for a replacement but Geeks kept fixing and it never worked to original spes as techs in two stores verified. Finally, even though I wasn't covered with extra protection, Kevin?, the manager at Thousand Oaks gave us a full refund because I had bought many products there. We used it plus $430 for the Lenovo, which was more than I would have wanted to spend but my son loves it and he is a great student so it must be doing its job. I also got a loaner from BB while the product was down or Luke would have been in real difficulty attending college. BestBuyLover

I'm getting to know my Lenovo Yoga Pro 2. It's very fast and the touch screen is wonderful. It's very different from my "old" laptop. I love the easy grab and go, wether I'm leaving my house or going to a different room. It's going to take me a while to catch up with it, but I am really appreciating all the flexibility.

Very nice, small and lightweight laptop that can also be used as a tablet. My 15 inch dell feels like an anvil now. We almost settled on new 15-inch laptops, and are so happy we got these instead. High-def display, touch screen, solid state hard drive, boots in seconds, weighs 3.1 lbs, 6 tenths of an inch thick.

Amazing display, fast start up, runs all programs, so far, without incident to include the online Star Wars The Old Republic. The. Apps it comes with are useful, though I can't figure out how to setup the facial recognition lock. Unlike my previous HP, this computer is not full of pre installed junk ware and is not running updates every time I use it. Being in the military I love the versatility of the tablet, tent, stand, and standard positions and the extreme light weight. The casing has remained solid enough in the desert sands. I've got only a couple things that could be better. I would like to have a cd drive, but that's what you get with an Ultrabook. I would also appreciate a longer battery life.

I was wanting a surface pro 3 but was going to wait for the next generation of SP4's, picked this up as a temporary solution and was pretty amazed with it - might not even need to upgrade for a while! I was reading that the Lenovo Yoga Pro 3's actually have a slightly less powerful processor, and all of the issues that people had with the original YP2 have been resolved, like the wireless card issue and the yellow color issues - so was very pleased with this purchase, also got it at a deal. If you can't decide on something you can't go wrong with this one - i've been nothing but pleased with it, would buy it again - this was my first lenovo computer - I am a web developer/programmer so I use it primarily for stuff like that but it actually works well when playing games (plays Garry's mod and most games like that flawlessly)

We were looking for a computer that my fiancé could use for engineering school. He wanted a fast computer that could handle heavy software. We read the reviews and I saw that the only potential problem could be a bad connection to the wifi. We have had it for a year now and we have used it in Chile and Texas, never with any problems connecting to the wifi. It is always fast and runs really well on Windows 8. The camera and microphone are excellent, the computer is durable (I'm not proud to admit it has been dinged a few times), the lighting on the keyboard and screen are very bright, and the speakers work well, too. Overall we are extremely satisfied with our purchase and Best Buy managed to mail it to my house in Texas on-time. We are very impressed with both the computer and service we received.

The Yoda 2 was purchased as a portable computer for kids school work. With the 256 SSD storage and 8 G memory it is fast and has a great screen. Seem well made, portable and the lighted keyboard is a great feature. No problems so far.
