looks great works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an Accounting PhD student, and I deal with data all the time. The problem with my old laptop is that it works very slowly when I use daily data. I find a professor use Yoga to run data, so I give it a try. So far so good.

Jury Still Out On This One
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this computer for Christmas and had it all set-up at the store. Shortly after using the computer the screen would go blank and not come back on until after I rebooted. Took it back to Geek Squad and they had seen problem before, but they didn't know if it was the laptop or the software, so they reinstalled things and it worked ok for a bit, but then started doing the same thing. Also, couldn't get printer to work with the computer and then the touchscreen stopped working until I'd reboot. Took the computer back and exchanged it for a new one. Had printer issues with the new one and called Geek Squad and they didn't help. Was able to finally solve the problem on my own. Hopefully, no further problems because I do like the size, features and functions of the computer.

Fast, light and flexible.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the previous version of the Yoga since it came out, but was looking for a bit more power (fine for 90% of what most people do... suffered a bit when doing studio recording). The 2 Pro is amazing. Fair warning: My first had a touch screen issue. And occasionally it will not work after waking up. Hint: Only let it hibernate, or just be prepared to reboot to use the touch screen.

Excellent overall laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Top of the line laptop with great specs and accessories. The best part is its touch screen and ability to bend the screen. Only downside is it is not the smallest computer compared to other similarly based computers.

Happy with the Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have enjoyed the light weight of this computer and also the way you can change your view so easily. My one complaint is sometimes while I'm using it that it changes the view on its own. Other than that its been great.

Good, not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good computer. Reasonably fast, reasonably light. Not perfect, but sufficient for my needs of word processing, internet, and music/pictures. All in all, a solid machine.

Amazing laptop, especially for college
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Lenovo has been nothing but a help to me during the school year. I can quickly access emails, keep up with the news without surfing the web, switch easily from project to project, and has a lot of disk space to run all of my heavy duty math programs. When I watch movies or listen to music, the sound quality is one of the best I've heard yet and the volume can be very loud. I love that it can turn into a tablet. Also, this computer is so handy for using apps. You can split the screen say from desktop mode and an app. The only low is that my battery life lasts about 5 hrs, but I have a i7 processor, listen to music, am running large programs, and keep my display brightness high so that can be expected. Overall, I wouldn't want any other laptop but this one-perfect for a college student, specifically a science/math student because of its ease of switching app to app without delay AND being portable-. If you're going for disk space, performance, and portability, this is the laptop for you...

Great graduation gift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This convertible tablet has made it easier to use Windows 8. The unit was priced well with a $300 discount! Has an incredible feel and look and extremely lightweight. The backlight on the keyboard is very useful.

Excellent - Performance & Style
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up the i7 Yoga 2 Pro a couple months ago to replace my 1 year old Sony Flip (which never worked correctly). The Lenovo is perfect, slim, sleek, stylish, yet professional looking. It out performs the Sony in every way. If you are looking for a new convertible ultrabook computer this is it! I never thought I would use it but the tent mode is great for sitting on the couch with the computer on my legs, keeps them nice and cool and I can still do anything on the computer. The only down side is the yellow on the screen is a little off. Unless you compare it side by side to another computer or you are a graphic artist it is not noticeable. Don't let that stop you from buying this computer. I hear it was fixed in the Yoga 3 screens.

Highly recommended laptop...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice 2-in-1 laptop/tablet. It boots up very quickly, has high resolution display, light weight, great sound, and an awesome design. You can take this on the go all day not worrying about power since it has a long battery life of up to 6-7 hours not as stated as 9 hours. Overall, this is a great laptop for work or personal use.

Very happy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this for about 1 1/2 months and have no problems with it. I have noticed the charger gets extremely hot while charging (especially if I am charging while using). I am very happy with the computer. I was thinking of getting a tablet but found this and am very happy I went with this instead of a tablet. I use this for work and play but it's primary purpose is work. I use Microsoft products for work (word, excel, powerpoint) and this makes using those a lot easier than it would be on most tablets. I like that it flips over and can be used as a tablet. I don't mind the bigger size (compared to tablet) at all. It is extremely lightweight, user friendly, customizable, and relatively inexpensive. With the tablet I still would have been using my desktop for most work but with this I can exclusively use my laptop. I am very happy with my decision to purchase theLenovo - 2-in-1 13.3" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 8GB Memory - 256GB Solid State Drive - Silver.

great laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is amazing value - it was priced around 1500 last year. Once the new yoga pro came out, I got this on sale for 900. it has all the top specs (ie intel core i7, etc). I was kind of bummed bc a similar model yoga 3 pro (less disk space, though) available on BB for 950, but this has the newer, supposedly slower "M" processor that has much greater battery life. I would give 5 stars but I cant find my "free" 1 year subscription to Kapersky Internet Security.

Purchase experience good - Yoga 2 Pro not so much
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had done some research online and had narrowed down my selections for a laptop. The sales agent did a nice job helping me to make the final selection and I was quite satisfied - until I got it home, turned it on and let it install Windows updates. After that, when I turned it on the screen lit up for a brief moment and then went black. I probably should have just returned it at that point. Instead, I called Lenovo customer support who very quickly told me they do not warranty software issues. They told me I had to sign up for their support services at over $200 per year. I balked and said I would look at other options and eventually they said I could sign up for $20 a month and cancel at no cost within 30 days. I did that and a guy got online and spent a couple of hours fixing the computer - which made it feel like it was worth the $20! I called a couple weeks later to cancel the service and they immediately told me I had to pay a termination fee. When I informed them of what I was told earlier they backed off and no extra fee. I'll have to watch my credit card charges... Now the computer periodically loses the bluetooth connection which, if you Google, is a known issue that Lenovo seems to have no interest in addressing - and getting the bluetooth working again is a somewhat complex and time consuming process. I like the speed and compactness of the computer but because of the other issues I doubt I would ever buy another Lenovo. I feel like they purposely had the first bug built into the computer to get people to sign up for their other services. When you go to their website to download updates, the site is loaded with pop up ads that make it very difficult to navigate without clicking on one of the stupid pop ups. So I have no trust in Lenovo - in my opinion they are not a customer oriented company.

Great Tablet and Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great overall laptop and a very competent tablet if you don't mind the size. I mainly use this laptop laying in bed so in tent mode or presentation mode it is great for watching video. They keyboard feels great and the backlighting is excellent. Lenovo made a great design call in making what would normally be alt functions (volume, brightness) the main functions of the normally unused keys (F1-F12). Battery life seems pretty good (core i7), but I only use it for very short stretches at a time so I can't really comment. It's definitely longer than the surface I had. The touch pad was a little too sensitive at first as noted by other reviewers, but it's an easy fix by setting the sensitivity down in the touchpad options. You'll want to update to the latest intel wireless drivers to avoid what was initially some spotty wireless performance. It has been rock solid since the update. The funky yellow problem has been fixed in the latest bios update.
