This review is for the version with i7 processor and 256GB memory.
This laptop has many good features, including the ability to put it in different positions, has touchscreen, and of course the 4k screen. Although it still early to see how good the 4k is since there aren't a lot of programs that use this. The laptop is fast, haven't had any issues with speed. For the reviews that stated the color yellow doesn't look good on these laptops, there have been updates that have fixed it. Some have complained about the keyboard but I think it is good. The laptop looks sturdy and made well. I actually do not have any complaints ever since I bought it a few months ago.
Overall this is a great laptop. If the price for this version is too high for some then you can always get the ones with lower specs. If you take good care of it then it should last for a while.

When Hopes Are Crushed

I did A LOT of research before buying the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro 2-in-1 13.3" Laptop. I spent months reading reviews, going into stores and testing laptops out, and reading more reviews. I spent so long researching that a newer model even came out (which the reviews said were of poorer quality) and the old model was no longer on sale.
Within a few months of having the laptop, it started blue screening - not often, but once or twice a month. Each time it would restart, then tell me there was no boot file found. I would power off the laptop, restart it, and it would be fine for a while. After a few times, I chatted with tech support, with no success. After that it seemed to be working better, for a few months at least.
With the Windows 10 upgrade, I was hoping my problems would have come to an end. Unfortunately my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro 2-in-1 13.3" laptop just blue screened four times in a row, and now all I get is the Lenovo splash screen. Biggest $1200 disappointment ever.

Probably as good as Windows 8 can be at this point

People who upgrade all the time may find nits to pick with this machine, but it was a vast improvement in weight, speed, and battery life over my old laptop. I don't like how the Windows 8 split personality between touch and desktop mode are managed, but that's just something to get used to if you want or need to run Windows. In some situations, mostly reading, I guess the touch/tablet option is cool to have.
The tent option is handy, and not just for watching videos. I run dual display and an external keyboard at my desk. When I do this in tent mode, I save a ton of desk space.
My only complaint is about the screen resolution. The application and OS windows and buttons get out of proportion to each other pretty commonly at the higher resolutions, which makes the super-high resolution feature seem more nuisance than nice to have. It does look very nice.

The Yoga 2 Pro is the best computer system (desktop or laptop) that I have used. It offers an easy and comfortable operational environment with all of the power needed to deal with large data sets and complex spatial presentations. It provided the most power, capability, and multi-platform functionality than any other portable system for the price. While I am sure that it has some weak points for someone I can honestly say that the Yoga 2 Pro is the best portable system I have worked with so far.

This is a great computer for any task at hand but specifically for the person on the go. It's Small and compact design makes it a breeze to take on the go
but doesn't compromise battery life or processing power. The only thing I wish it had was a finger print scanner cd the facial recognition software. and that more of a preference then anything.

One of the most important distinct features I wanted was the high res and clear screen, this laptop delivers that-at a very reasonable cost. The i7, ram, SSD disk delivers all the usual needs so my deciding factor was really price and screen. A surface pro 3 may beat it at some things but I didn't see that as worth the extra cost, although my daughter has a surface pro 3. This is my second yoga pro 2 (last one was work laptop and had to turn in when I resigned). The pro 3 didn't strike me as anything but more expensive and inferior performance.

Very good value--not Thinkpad quality, though

This is a very good mini-notebook for the price. I recommended it for a family member and she has been very pleased with it. It is very light, fast, and the display is beautiful. There have been no stability problems. Since it is a tiny i7, expect it to generate a fair bit of heat if you turn off the power-throttling and keep it busy. The hot air blows quietly through rear-mounted vents, and overheating doesn't seem to be a problem--just make sure not to block the vents.
The main problem is a design flaw in the Micro-HDMI port. The port itself is fine, but the socket is too deep for most Micro-HDMI cable plugs to fit securely. I solved this problem by getting a cheap micro-HDMI cable with plastic plugs, and then using an X-acto knife to carve away enough of the plug to let it fully insert into the laptop.
Less critically, the keyboard is pretty good, but certain keys, like the spacebar, will feel a bit stuck and require more pressure than expected to press. It is not a Thinkpad keyboard, but it also costs about half of what the TP ultraportable does. The trackpad is quite good, though.
Finding the support section and driver updates on the Lenovo website is difficult.
With those exceptions, it is a very good ultraportable for the price.

Good ultrabook for the money you pay. I have two main issues. First, the screen flickers when it not plugged in. Second, since the screen has 3K resolution, connecting it to a 1080P monitor is not as fun. You can always reduce the laptop screen resolution to 1080P, but that defies the whole purpose.
Other than that, loving the laptop...

This is the perfect computer. I don't like to carry a heavy computer to class. I teach digital scrapbooking and memory preservation as well as photo organization. I have an external hard drive, to put everything on. and I can increase that as my needs increase. The size is perfect and I love it that I can make it into a tablet or a regular laptop. I love the touch screen, Most of all I love the lit keyboard. It is so convenient to use this computer. It is everything I wanted in a laptop rolled into the perfect computer.
