BLUF: Works great, compact, and small, but usually takes 2 hours for a regular load of laundry for me I bought this set for use in my garage and didn’t need huge capacity, but I’ve found they fit a good bit. Glad I purchased these overall Dry Times (my average estimate): - Regular load of clothes - 2 - 2.5 hours - Sheet - 2.5 - 3 hours - Blankets - 4 hours Pros: - Looks good - Option to condense water into reservoir (seen in picture) or into a water line - Stacking kit is included with the set - Time estimates have been reasonably accurate - LED light inside - Doesn’t generate much heat to surrounding space, but give off a clean clothes smell in the space - Quiet - Wi-Fi - Thought this was gimmicky, but with it being in the garage it’s nice to get a notification when it finishes (can’t hear it in the house at all) Cons: - Controls are more complicated than the GE I had in my last house - Secondary lint filter to clean occasionally (I do it monthly-ish) - No “low heat” option - It has Normal, Energy Saver, and Air Dry. Supposedly the energy saver is sort of low, hasn’t messed anything up yet - Need to take clothes out right away to avoid wrinkles - Humidity is still in the dryer otherwise Note: Trust the dryer when it thinks clothes are dry. The first time I thought they felt wet and kept starting it on timed dry (like 6 hours total). Come to find they feel dry until you get them out and they start to cool down. Woops

This is my second purchase of this LG electric ventless dryer. I have bought and used it and the accompanying front load washer previously for a small studio apartment and have found it does the job well. Drying can take a bit longer due to energy efficiency, which doesn't bother me. I now moving to a one bedroom apartment where space still is limited plus HOA requirements (electric) and no access to a vent makes this a great appliance for me. Really easy to access and empty the water capture tank. Initially I thought it would be a hassle but it's not.

Works better than my old Bosch

My apartment had washer and dryer hookups but only for smaller washer/dryer stacked. I’ve used Bosch machines in the past, but decided to try a condenser instead of a heat pump style. I like the condenser better, it dries faster than the Bosch ever did (still not as fast as the vented dryer), it’s very quiet, I like the tech of the LG system. I haven’t had any problems, but I do empty the water collector every couple of loads. One note, the stacking should be flush in the front, when the delivery people were stacking it they started to do it so that the dryer was offset, I stopped them and showed pictures of what it was supposed to look like they corrected it almost immediately.

I purchased the LG 4.2 heat pump dryer a few months ago. I just noticed that water is collecting in the lint filter cavity and the lint filter is damp. I would like some documentation from the company as to whether or not this normal. I can’t find anything in the manual that addresses it. I’ve never experienced this with any other dryer. The manual says to thoroughly dry the lint filter before using. That is difficult when you are drying multiple loads. Please advise.

This unit is night and day better than the old "GE" unit I replaced. Both this and the matching washer has a lot of features I will never use but it dries (and for the washer washes) well. And way quieter...it's not silent but there are times it's on and I forget it's running till that stupid little tune it plays when the cycle is done.

Sleek and Quiet, But Disappointing Performance

I really wanted to love this dryer. It’s sleek, quiet, and from LG—a brand I usually trust. I bought it certified used from Best Buy for about $700, so I expected good performance. Initially, it worked great, but not long after the 1-year warranty expired, the “auto-clean condenser” seems to have failed. Clothes now take over 8 hours to dry, and the dryer auto-stops before they’re fully dry, forcing me to run multiple manual cycles. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps through the LG Smart App, but nothing has worked. LG’s support team offered to fix it for $400, but that’s a lot to spend after the initial purchase. I still appreciate the design and how quiet it is, but the performance has been disappointing. Hopefully, LG can improve on this for future models.

Hi, Dean, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your concern about having an LG Dryer (DLHC1455W) model that no longer meets your expectations, especially after such a great start. We strive to provide top-notch products and ensure a smooth and seamless experience.
As a next step, we recommend checking the venting system to ensure it is clear of any blockages, as this can sometimes cause drying issues. Additionally, make sure the dryer’s condenser is clean, as dust or lint buildup can also impact performance. Happy with my new LG Heatpump Dryer. It does take some change to my routines at first as the dryer takes a lot more time to dry (2 hours instead of 1) but the clothes don't come out singed and over dried any more. The app works well. I can check to see where in the cycle the load is and it gives me notifications when the cycle is done. I'm happy i no longer have toxic gas inside my house.

Ventless dryer, the condensed water tray easy to remove and dump out after use. Drying time longer than vented dryer. Compact but holds decent size load (e.g., two sets of sheets).

Our options were limited as we have a very small laundry closet in our condo. This LG stackable washer and dryer set had all the bells and whistles, a great price point, good reviews, and it fit! Very much enjoying the Wi-Fi connection so I can keep a running history of usage, and the diagnosis feature in the LG ThinQ App is very useful to identify any issues.

We've had it for less than a month. It works exactly how we want with the load size that we need. We use it multiple times a week. Sometimes the "dry mood" feature/button is finicky. Does not want to go to "normal" drying. Wants to stay on "energy efficient" mode.

This dryer is used to dry multiple loads of clothing. Since I received it, I have not have any problems with my clothing drying completely. It's compact and fit into the allotted space. I would recommend buying this dryer. The dryer was delivered on the delivery date and between the time. I was contacted prior to the delivery date and time.

This dryer works better than I ever expected. Cycles do run a little than my old full size dryer, but there was no way to vent the dryer in the space it was installed in. The drain hose was included and I was able to use the same drain pipe as the washer.
