Our Whirpool had died and we were getting along with a crummy old school top load washer while I shopped for a replacement. I've also had experience with Samsung washers in the past. I probably read a million consumer reviews, articles, and reports before settling on this washer. Despite seeing deep discounts on Samsung washers we spent a little more and purchased this and it's been wonderful. There's a cycle for everything, and the Allergiene cycle has really helped with my allergies. It's extremely quiet and the connected app is nice. You can load it in the morning and set it to wash right before you get home. I love it and it's worth every penny.

This is an upgrade to the last 2 washers I've returned within the last 5 months. Beyond the worst of the 3! The lid for the detergent flaps in the rinse and spin cycles, it's so loud. The detergent, prewash, softener and bleach dispensers don't get rinsed out so have fun cleaning those out. This machine is high maintenance and runs like a $200 piece of JUNK! The entire machine vibrates out of control and the drum even hits the sides. The door swings wide open when I leave the door open to air it out where other washers will stay just cracked. The front of the washer sticks out so much it takes up so much space in the laundry room compared to comparable models. Avoid LG at all cost and save yourself the trouble. These will be going back and I will never buy an LG product again! Lesson learned.

Machine is overly complicated for no good reason. There are are numerous preset cycles but you can only adjust certain features on certain cycles. You have to consult the handbook to find out if you can adjust temp, spin speed etc any cycle. There is no spin only cycle. The machine often has an error and will stop mid cycle but unless you are home to see it when it happens, the error code turns off and you are left with a pile of wet clothes with no idea at which point in the cycle the machine stopped and for what reason. Clothes do not come out very clean. There are myriad other small annoyances with this machine. I would never recommend this machine to anyone. I wish I could return it.

I loved this washing machine when I first got it but after the 2nd or 3rd load, it leaked water all over my floor. BB exchanged the machine for a new one...used it a couple of times and it leaked all over again. BB once again exchanged it for a new one (I kept with LG because the salesman assured me it was the best machine they sold) and after using for a week or so, same thing again. There was water coming out of the vent in the back as well as water coming out of the door. The pedestal filled up and my floor was covered each time. I ended up having to return everything and went with a different brand which has worked fine so far. Disappointed I didn't end up with the one I wanted after doing hours of research.
