A: Yes we have a California king and it washes everything extremely well
A: I have an iPhone 7 and the app in great. Wifi setup is really easy in the "LG Smart ThinQ" app and I always get notifications on my phone whenever the washing or drying is done. Overall, great Wifi functionality.
Q: does this washer have a turbo wash motor?
A: Yes I love it
A: The LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle High-Efficiency Front-Loading Washer with Steam and Wi-Fi Connectivity, Model # WM5000HVA and its matching Dryers, the 7.4 cu.ft. Ultra Large Capacity TurboSteam™ Electric Dryer w/ On-Door Control Panel, Model # DLEX5000V or Gas Dryer, Model # DLGX5001V all have a width of 27". The recommended clearance spacing for the sides is 1 inch and an inch between the units so you will need at least 57". The dryers have a depth of 32 13/16" (54" with the door open) and the recommended clearance spacing for behind the unit is 5 inches. If your laundry room is only 35" deep, you don't have enough room to fit the dryer in and would not even be able to open the door since you need a depth of at least 60 inches for the door to open fully. The washer also has a depth of 32 13/16" and a depth of 55" with the door open and the recommended clearance behind the washer is 4 inches so you also need 60 inches for that well...^IFV
A: No, I wanted to reverse it too (only dryer door can reverse). Instead I re-plumbed gas so washer could be on left side.
Q: Did LG improve the water valves yet so there is no water hammer anymore with the latest models?
A: Water hammer is a specific plumbing noise, not a generic name for pipe clatter. It occurs when you shut off the water suddenly and the fast-moving water rushing through the pipe is brought to a quick halt, creating a sort of shock wave and a hammering noise. This is not due to a specific brand of washing machine or appliance. Please see the enclosed link to assist. ^AC https://www.lg.com/ca_en/support/product-help/CT20098067-1426622057596-others
Q: how tall is the unit with the SideKick pedestal underneath washer?
A: The WM5000HVA has the following dimensions: (WxHxD) 27" x 38 13/16" x 32 13/16". The WD100CV has the following dimensions: (WxHxD) 27" x 14 1/8" x 30 3/4". This puts the combined height at 52 15/16". ^CP
