We have had this for just a few weeks but are very impressed. We were lucky with our previous washer, a front loader. It lasted almost 9 years and still worked great until the electronics went haywire the last 18 months. That washer had a fast spin cycle but this washer is incredible. It spins so fast and so smooth the clothes are practically dry when they come out. And clean too. We were shocked when our dry time was cut in half. Quality looks great so far and the musical chime at the end of cycle is a nice change to all the beeping.
I searched on line at all the big appliance stores and Best Buy had the best price. Delivery only took a week and the install went smooth except for the guy reversing the hoses. No biggie.

I've only owned this washer for two months, but so far I am satisfied with it. I load it according to the manufacturer's recommendations and have never had an unbalanced load, but to be fair I don't try and overload the washer either. The wash times are longer than I would prefer, but I like how little water is used, how clean the clothes are and the fact that the clothes retain very little water after the final spin cycle. I also use the new Tide Pods for washing, so that might explain the cleaner clothes. Only time will tell if this washer proves itself, but so far I have no major complaints.

Great washer! Large capacity tub is an understatement. Holds 3 loads, or less. Robotically balances the load. Easy to use controls. Load after load, no problem. I was looking for more laundry in this 6 person household! Bulk bedding ++ Fun end cycle melody gets your attention. Watch the water spray through the glass top loader. I think of it as my own personal water feature! Clothes are cleaner than ever. Love this washer. Been using it for more than 6 weeks.
You may want to consider the matching capacity dryer, due to the large capacity.

We purchased the LG washer/dryer combo. I had been looking at front loaders to replace my 20 year old set. The Best Buy sales associate told us about the top loader and how the technology of this washer, with no agitator, would clean better than our highest expectations. He also explained how efficient the top loader was and how this model was currently doing better than the front loaders. I did read the manual first to understand the huge instrument panel on this washer before trying it out. The machine is so easy to use and cleans beautifully. My first experience I literally stood there and watched the cycles. The top loader has a clear top to see the washing. Before actual washing happened the sensor detected how big the load was and then the drum turned to automatically arrange the load for balanced washing. It sounded like a jet revving up for take off. It wasn't loud, I just wasn't expecting that to happen. The clothing came out nice and clean and didn't take as long as I expected. A great purchase for our household.

I bought this washer as my current one was quitting on me. As with most purchases I look at what my money can get me. Comparing this unit to others within the same price range this had more features, larger capacity, better energy usage and a stainless steel tub. It is nearly silent compared to my previous which was a non high-efficiency model with an agitator. I have thrown in everything from normal wear and tear clothes, to sheets and a comforter (king size), grass stained clothing and very muddy clothes from a mountain biking trek and it all came out sparkling clean. The only issue with the washer is my wife (she is 4'11") is unable to reach the bottom of the tub to retrieve clothes. On average we do 4-5 loads a week.

I love being able to customize the cycles I use for different loads. I really like the rinse-spin cycle for the fabric I buy for my sewing projects, as I always prewash them before sewing into a project. It is super quiet and has a high speed spin cycle, so that my clothes dry faster in the dryer with less chance of them shrinking. I also like the see through lid and the stainless steel tub. I don't miss having an agitator at all! The clothes are washed very gently while getting all of them nice and clean.
The only trouble I had was right after delivery--the hot and cold hoses were switched so that I had hot or warm water when I was expecting cold water. I did have 3 pieces of clothing shrink from this, but after I called the service number, my husband was able to reattach the hoses correctly. I reported this to the store who delived them and I was credited for my loss on the clothing. I am happy.

I really like the back panel controls because I am short and do not like to drag the clothes over the top lid buttons.
The uneven load pause saved me a repair call.
The options on the control back are easily visible with the lighting.
The sound to end a load is very pleasing to the ear.
Stainless steel throughout the drum is the best!
I do not miss the agitator because I no longer ruin laundry items.
The machine is nice to look at - luxury @ the home laundromat!
Washing clothes is now efficient use of my time because I know how many minutes are left in the load cycle.
The washing cycles with the water temperatures are helpful.
Obviously I think that my washing machine is super!

It gets lots of clothes clean in large loads. With a swimmer and a runner in the family laundry is frequent, large loads. We are doing fewer loads with the high capacity.
Has extra rinse feature to ensure all detergent is removed which is important for our allergies.
The high speed spin does an excellent job of removing the water so the dryer doesn't have to work as hard. Only downside is the small difference in how to load the clothes because there is no spindle in the tub. Large items like towels and sheets need to be placed around the edge of the barrel so they spin properly.

Have a queen size comforter , this machine can wash it ! This washer cleans very well and is wispier quiet . There are many different modes to wash different fabrics. What we loved is the capacity .What we once did in two plus loads ,we now do in one. Another great thing about this washer is the sounds you hear while it is washing . Its called silence. Its very quiet .. We are happy with this unit ...

I have had this washer for over two months, and am very satisfied with it. I put off buying a High efficiency washer because of all of the internet complaints...Ruins clothes, wrinkles clothes, smells. This washer does none of the mentioned complaints. It has a huge capacity, and I find I am doing less loads per week. It has a number of cycles to choose from and spins the clothes so dry they need less drying time in my dryer.
I am extremely happy with this model and highly recommend it.

Our dryer broke after 10 years and we decided to upgrade to a high efficiency washer and dryer. This washer gets my clothes very clean. I have to use less soap, softener and bleach. Which is great. I don't like though that I can't put in the soap while it is running. Just my personal preference, but I don't like the detergent getting all over my hands and I can't rinse them in the water. The washer always seems to have errors. The most common is the error that it is unbalanced. You have to make sure you lay out all of the clothes in the bottom of the washer. You can't just through them in. When it has an error, I never know until I come back 40 minutes later only to find my clothes are not washed and must wait an additional 45 minutes for it to run again. I also do not like the fact when I run a custom mode It will not let you do certain combinations. For example hot water with a small load or short cycle. If it does I haven't figured it out yet because there are so many different settings. I am pretty tech savvy but can't seem to figure it out sometimes. I always revert to the same short wash cycle.

This is a replacement for a 7 year old washer. I had read the reviews and they were right. The laundry comes out so much cleaner and fresher. The only con is that the cycles are long but well worth the end result. So far I love it! I'm still using the cheat sheet to make sure which buttons to push. I kept my old dryer and now that the clothes come out of the washer with less water, hopefully won't have to replace it anytime since it takes a fraction of the time to dry.

I really do like this machine. I have 2 teenage daughters so I wash everything from jeans to delicate tops and skirts. Only complaint is that because it uses less water, it allowed lint to collect where the comforter folded up on itself in the washer. This did come out in the dryer but if I had muddy clothes, I would definitely recommend hosing them off before tossing them in this washer.
