Customers consistently note the excellent picture quality and ease of use of this 60" Class 4K Ultra HD Smart TV. Many appreciate the smart remote and the TV's sleek design, while some users point out backlight inconsistencies in darker scenes. The HDR functionality also receives positive feedback, although a few mention needing adjustments for motion clarity. Overall, the positive comments on picture quality and ease of use outweigh the concerns about backlight and motion settings.

I originally gave a bad rating on this tv because I failed to choose the HD channels provided by my cable company. I was accustomed to regular tv channels with my other tv's. That was TOTALLY my fault, not the tv. Awesome tv with great pictures and sound effect. I know for sure that I chose the right tv. Fits perfect over my fireplace!

Fastest channel switching I've ever encountered, over-the-air TV guide, easy-to-use remote with on-screen pointer, voice recognition, and LG WebOS is the best and simple SmartTV interface and yet with so many functions, TV center-bottom has buttons for wall mounting, and much more. I highly recommend this TV!

Before I decided on the tv, I did several weeks of research in store and online, and it really came down to three tvs; LG 7700, Samsung ks 8000, and Sony 850 XBR 850. Being new to 4k, I decided on the features I wanted first, then went looking for tvs that matched that. 1. HDR (both standards hdr 10 and dolby vision) 2. Motion rate 3.Quantum display. (each manufacture has their own name for it but basically the same thing) My idea was to future proof it for as long as possible and I wanted to stay as close to $1000 range as I could. Quick Summary for those who don’t want to read the entire review. Great picture, Excellent sound for a flat screen tv, lots of streaming options through smart apps, constant tweaking of picture setting made me crazy until I found the factory set options were good with some small changes for personal preference. Here are a couple of best practices I've found so far, and I thought it may be good to share. 1. After setting up tv, make sure to change the picture setting off the default setting of APS. The APS setting is the power saving mode and personally, I feel like it's totally unnecessary. I'm sure it's there to get it the Energy Star approval, but it darkens the screen so much that it's almost unwatchable. My personal favorites are Standard, Cinema and Sport mode. 2. Let the screen run for a day or so of normal viewing before judging the screen. I ran the Dynamic mode for the first day or so, then started playing with the other modes. It seemed to me like the screen got better the longer it ran. So much so, that I just started using the Standard mode after day 2. I also tried setting the TV to some of the online recommendations from 3rd party sources and I was disappointed. Luckily, you can reset the picture to factory presets. At some point I may try a calibration program, but for now I'm using factory settings with some minor tweaks. (turned off LED dimming at night) 3. The screen only looks as good as the source material. I have Dish Network and they don't offer 4k content yet, but the 1080 channels look pretty darn good with the LG upscaling. Hook up a Blu-ray, and the quality jumps up to a whole other level. We put in Capt. America Civil War and Frozen and they felt like they jumped off the screen. The Xbox S looked amazing, as did the 4k videos from You Tube and Netflix. We'll be investing in a few 4k Blu-rays, so we can really see what the tv can do. There have been some small annoyances, especially when the room is really dark. The local dimming tends to get under my skin, as it's really visible in a dark room with dark scenes. Quick fix is to turn it off and it eliminates the issue. There is also some tweaking needed for motion blur on different sources. I’d prefer to find a good setting and leave it on that, so I’m not constantly changing the picture modes when I switch between the Blu-ray, Satellite, and Xbox. It would be great to have 4 HDMI ports instead of 3 and I also wish the HDR was turned on from day one, as you have to turn it on for each input (hidden under General Settings vs. Picture settings). Finally, the remote takes some getting used to, but we all love it now that we have been playing with it for a few days. Overall, I feel it’s a great tv for the money.

Let me start by saying that I have not purchased a new TV in almost ten years. My last TV was a 55 inch SXRD so maybe I don't have much to compare to but this LG is amazing!!! The WiFi is great and I have been watching Netflix and many of the free aps available. I don't have the upgraded Netflix account but holy cow it is so freaking clear. I am currently watching with 25 Mbps internet and have no issues at all. The remote on this thing is so easy for entering passwords and there is zero lag making it very easy to blast through menus. The 4K is so sweet I can't believe that this was so low in price. The 60 inch size is perfect for any living room, I was worried that it would be too big but I think I would have been upset with the 55". As for the sound. I have it on 20 of what I am guessing is 100 and my wife just came in and asked why it was so loud. Enough said. These speakers are ridiculously good for built ins. The smart TV on here is about as good as it gets. I have no cable only Netflix and internet sports subscriptions and they work better than I could have imagined. Best Buy screwed up my first delivery but the price was great and they redelivered on time when I requested. The price to take my old TV away was also great. I would tot recommend this TV to anyone looking to cut the cable and would think it's great for cable anyways. Just buy this TV if you are on the fence between this and something else, buy this.

Very happy with this Tv. My girlfriend wanted a 60" but I wanted a little bigger but really wanted certain features. This LG has them 4:4:4 color, Dolby Vison, HDR and a 120 Hertz refresh rate. Color is crisp and looks sharp and clear! Love the fact that while it isn't the best 4K TV on the market it's pretty nice TV for the price. Blacks look good, playing 4K movies through the new Oppo UDP203 and it blows me away.

I have read great reviews for this TV. I have also read tech reviews and they said the HDR is bad on this TV. Well depends on the movie. I have found the HDR to be great on this TV. I have a PS4 and a Philips 4K HDR Player so I did comparisions between 4K Blu-ray movies and standard 1080p Blu-ray movies. Trolls is a terrible movie as the HDR makes the colors look dull and dark compared to the 1080p version. But Sing 4K HDR has much bright colors and deep blacks. So again, depends on the movie if HDR is good or not. Deadpool is mind blowing differences between the 4K and 1080p version. The 1080p was grainy as the 4K was very crisp and clear and the HDR with this TV has great colors and deep blacks. John Wick and Suicide Squad looked great in 4K HDR compasses to the 1080p version. I used the Disney WOW Blu-ray calibration disk to get the best picture to my liking. But since there is no HDR calibration disk currently out, you only have pre-set HDR picture options to choose from. But HDR vivid is a great setting without changing settings within the menu for the picture. Games play great and after the recent update, lag input have become unnoticeable. I don't even use Game Mode as I turned off features that would cause lag input. Here are my tech calibration settings if you want to check it out on your LG UH7700 series TV. Picture Mode Settings ~ Standard (user) click this to change settings to my calibration. Backlight - 100 Contrast - 95 Brightness - 40 Sharpness - 25 Color - 65 Tiny - 0 Color temperature - C20 [ Advance Options] Dynamic Contrast - Medium Dynamic Color - Medium Preferred Color - leave 0-0-0 Color Gamut - Wide Super Resolution - Low Gamma - Medium [Picture Options] Noise Reduction - Off MPEG Noise Reduction - Off Black Level - Auto Real Cinema - On Motion Eye Care - Off LED Local Dimming - Off for TV and games (On for Movies as it helps make deep blacks. User preference. Tru Motion - Off Those are my settings but not every TV is the same. I personally love this TV and got it for $1100 at Best Buy.

I was in the market for 60” screen size and wanted a new 2016 4K model; 65” is just a little too large for the area we want to put the TV. When I saw the ad for the new LG60UH7700, I couldn't believe how feature packed this unit was HDR - Dolby Vision, Quantum Dot Technology, Harmon Kardon sound, IPS panel, etc. Plus it was promo priced at $1699.99 (not much of a sale now that LG.com states that the starting prices) but still in the budget. I didn't want to wait for the new 2016 Samsung’s and to be honest all they offer 55” or 65”. The LG TV is stunning to look at without even being turned on, very high end and futuristic looking. It even has a magic remote with voice control and a great new web OS. I pulled the trigger and bought the very first one that my local Best Buy had in stock. There wasn't even one on display yet. Unfortunately, that is where the hypnosis wore off. I spent nine days trying to calibrate this baby. I am not a novice to setting up HDTVs. No matter what settings and options within those setting I chose, the picture was never bright enough. The colors were excellent...but the picture was never brilliant or even outstanding. My remote was on overtime trying to produce satisfying results, but to no avail. The peak brightness is too low and so is the contrast under most conditions. It just didn't wow me like my older Samsungs did when I bought them five years ago. Also, the grey uniformity was poor. Anytime the screen was dark; I would have a terrible light bleed. Once you were aware of the edge lit array it was impossible to unsee it. It became so annoying when watching anything that was dark (see pictures). I then decided this was not something I could be happy with, and so back it went. LG you have to do better, not all of us can afford your OLED's and with today's technology Full-array backlight needs to be standard if not OLED. Go back to the drawing board with your "Super HDTV". I am going back to SAMSUNG once I can see the rting.com reviews on the 2016 models. If not, I’ll wait for the steep discounts on the 2015 models such as the 9500 series.

Originally purchased a Vizio but after a difficult (unsuccessful) set up process we returned it and bought this TV the same night. The magic remove makes using the TV so much easier (especially for someone with carpal tunnel like myself). It's the best TV I've owned in a long time... even if it is slightly too big for my entertainment center ;) Mounted perfectly on our wall without any issues and overall is so user friendly.

This is a great TV for the price. I bought this TV primarily for gaming. You get both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision two HDR formats you can't get on any TV in this price range, as most TV in this mid-range only support HDR 10. I haven't been able to test Dolby Vision HDR but I've streamed some HDR shows off of Amazon Video that support HDR 10 and it looks absolutely stunning. I was on the fence with this TV (LG 60UH7700) and the Samsung KS8000. After doing research, I found out that the Samsung has been having quality control issues and the back panel of the KS8000 starts to peel apart from the front display because there are no screws holding it in place, just cheap tape on the inside. This made me steer towards the UH7700. Picture quality is not as rich and blacks aren't as deep as the KS8000 though. This TV definitely suffers in a dark room, as it has a weird uneven lighting effect when viewing black screens. However the picture quality is still very good for a 4K TV in this price range. WebOS is absolutely phenomenal. Gaming on this TV is awesome too. I have a Playstation 3 and a PlayStation 4 Pro hooked up to mine. Only thing is that the PS4 Pro is having widespread compatibility problems with 4K TV's from LG, Vizio, and others, so it's not restricted to just LG. Just do a quick search on YouTube and you'll find a work around. LG is promising a to rollout a patch for their TV's by the end of the month that will fix this problem and add support for HDR gaming. No lag whatsoever while gaming on the PS4 Pro and input lag is very minimal (around 33.1ms; anything under 40ms is very good). The TV and PS4 work together to upscale the picture and makes the games look super crisp. Overall a great buy. However, if the KS8000 hadn't had quality control issues, I would've definitely gone for the Samsung.

I had a 47" Samsung LCD that decided to stop working after about 10 years and I was pretty happy to have an excuse to start shopping for a new TV. This LG checked all of the boxes for me. 4k, HDR, smart, 120 NATIVE refresh rate, etc. After nearly a month, I have no complaints. Streaming 4k or Dolby Vision content looks amazing. Preseason football looks amazing, though you'll have to manually change the display (choose your own or use one of the many presets). There are a lot of settings I have yet to touch. My one complaint about this and all TVs is that the owner's manual tells you nothing about the length of screws you need to wall mount it. It will tell you M6 and the VESA measurements and warn you that you need to make sure the bolt is in far enough but not too far. So I'm here to tell you that I used 25mm M6 bolts (1.0 thread) with a 4mm plastic spacer and a washer on each side of the bracket, as well as a lock washer. If you don't want to use spacers, 20mm should work for you, depending on how thick your bracket is. If you find it at a price you like, I highly recommend this TV.

This is my second 4K LG TV. I have had Sony televisions for years and they all had premature failures. Never to purchase a Sony again I did alot of research before I decided on LG. I originally purchased a 65 inch LG 4K tv for yet another failed Sony in my basement. The LG 65in 4k tv is an amazing Smart TV. Recently my living room Sony 60 inch not surprisingly died at 3yrs old. It was a no brainer that I would replace it with a 60 LG 4K. The picture is amazing. Smart access is seamless thanks to the point and click remote which is more like a computer mouse. A curser moves around the screen when you point the remote. Just click or scroll with the toggle wheel. Couldn't be easier. The best part for me is that I have an LG V20 smartphone. 1 click and my phone is displayed on the tv. You can control your phones actions with the tv remote and vise versa. Endless possibilities (slideshow phones pictures, play phones apps). I will only purchase LG from now on. I highly recommend both the 60 and 65 inch 4K models. Next upgrade for me will be a LG OLED television.

First, I have been looking at 60"-65" 4K tvs for a few months so I was not in a rush to purchase. I did read a lot of customer reviews and made quite a few visits to Best Buy to look at products. Best Buy folks were always helpful and never pushy. After much gathering of not too technical information, I concluded that I was going to have to make my own decision on which tv to purchase based on my needs ( movie and sports watching) and at my price point. I decided this LG product was it. I can say I am satisfied with its performance ( one month of ownership). Picture quality is very good, no blur on my Golden State Warrior games, and best of all, I don't feel the need for a sound bar to make up for loudness. At 1/4 the volume output, the lg 7700 is comfortable for my ears in a medium sized family room! I fooled around with customizing picture settings and found a suitable output for me. Not sure what the fuss is about light bleeding? I don't usually watch a completely black screen to notice that. Anyway, I am happy with my purchase and have trusted LG products. I have a LG washer and dryer set, purchased from Best Buy still going strong for 12 years. Secondly, I want to mention the fact that I didn't want any stress about returning a tv if I was dissatisfied with a product. Free delivery and haul away of my old, defunct 200 lb rear projection tv was a plus! I am a member of the big warehouse stores and they seem to carry mid level tv products, at best. The only other tv I considered was a Samsung and their price points were $300-$500 more for the equivalent level LG product. So, I believe I can save you a lot of time searching when I recommend this tv! Lastly, you want a 5 star rating from your next tv purchase? Then purchase an OLED tv from LG. Peace out!

This TV produces excellent color and clarity. Also does a great job with blacks. I mainly use HDR user level medium. It works best for me. I personally disable the LED local dimming. Caused a lot of shadowing and brightness level variations when viewing at night. Bezel around TV is slim and looks great on the wall. 4K content pops and looks great so does regular HD programming. 4 stars for me die to not being Dolby Vision capable yet, should be coming in next firmware upgrade. Not sure about negative reviews this TV is loaded and picked this up for 1699.00 on sale.
