We bought this dryer along with the matching washing machine (see washing machine review) We loved the washing machine and love the dryer as well! It's quiet but not silent but the noise is much quieter than our previous dryer. It has a huge drum and smart sensor which can shut off the dryer when the clothes are dry. The only problem is socks. The dryer will think the load is dry but the toes of the sock are still damp. The fix is a quick dry feature you can set it on. It should be noted that the sock issue was present on our old dryer as well as the socks are dense and sometimes bunched up from being taken off in a rush. take a second to unbunch the sock prior to wash and dry. It also have a steam refresh feature I absolutely love!!! takes the wrinkles out and if you have left a load in overnight hit that steam refresh and they come out smelling great and wrinkle free!!! Awesome load feature as well that when it opens up it opens at about a 45 degree angle so as you are pulling the clothes from the washer to the dryer they don't fall on the ground. then when done you can swing the door open to get all the clothes out.... See the video online because its hard to describe in writing. Overall we love it and highly recommend!! Also Consumer Reports gave it a great review!

The LG dryer is wonderful! This dryer has so many options, including steam. The dryer is probably the fastest dryer I've ever owned to get my clothes dry appropriately for the fabric recommendations. This dryer is also very quiet. I love the option on the door that allows the door to open side ways from left to right or pull open the door extending down!

Bought this to replace a 10 year old Frigidaire dryer that was overheating. We've put this dryer through extensive use (used almost daily) since purchasing in November 2017. It has operated quietly, effectively and reliably without issue. Highly recommended.

Spoiled with the steam feature! This dryer is awesome. No more damp clothes. Love the two way door! Chose this in exchange for our recalled Samsung set.

This is a nice big dryer that is great for a family who does a lot of laundry.

I like this dryer. Looks nice. I like that there are two ways you can open the door. I have not used the steam cycle setting yet. I always change the dry level setting to "very." It is automaticly set to dry "normal" but clothes are still slightly damp at that setting. Overall it's great and I'm happy with my purchase.

I realize a dryer isn't meant to be a step-stool, but it should be able to support a 150 lb person without crushing in. I have shelves above my dryer that I reached for years by stepping on my old GE dryer, which never resulted in any damage. The first time I did the same thing with this dryer, it crushed in. There are actually 2 dents, the obvious huge one in the front of the picture, and a less noticeable one near the back control panel on the left side. Don't buy if you need to be able to stand on your dryer. Annoying but not a deal-breaker: the default sensor dry usually shuts the machine off too early while clothes are still damp, so we're only using the manually-set timed dry. Also of note - This is supposed to be a review for just the dryer, but the matching washer has a few problems that I would like to share: 1) The water is consistently too low during agitation, so clothes are above the water level not getting washed. It's sensor controlled, so there seems to be nothing I can do. 2) The start/pause button often requires several attempts to work, sometimes requiring me to turn off the power and turn the power back on to get it to work. Purchased 10/19 2019.

This dryer has a large capacity, is very easy to use, and does a great job of drying. It runs very quietly, and lets you know when the load is done. The delivery people were terrific, and made sure everything was hooked up properly before they left. I have not tried out the steam feature yet, but it is a nice feature to have available.

The best dryer I've ever owned. We purchased this open box deal in store a few years ago and haven't had any issues with it since. The dryer door opens sideways and down which is extremely helpful for the many different ways I load laundry! The steam feature is good too for the laundry that you don't pull out right away. I use it to get wrinkles out and it works well! I love how easy it is to use and how well it works!

Dryer is a large capacity and dries clothes very well. Electronics are easy to understand and learn. Very quiet.

The most fancy feature on this dryer is the door that can pull down to use as a chute or open/close in a traditional manner. I really didn’t want a ton of features that may not stand the test of time. This one has plenty of staple features such as steam, a decent capacity, and the door in particular. Best Buy delivery was on time and did a good job with setup.

I bought this dryer as part of a matched pair and could not be happier. It looks great and has plenty of cycle choices to ensure you are caring for your clothes properly. The steam feature is great for getting wrinkles out of fabrics. It is also very quite when operating. The door opens in two directions which provides a lot of flexibility in selecting a location for the dryer.

Love this LG dryer. Glass door to check on clothes. And lighting ! So many setting. Some w steam Quiet and attractive ( only problem is geeks scratched it during install and no one has responded to my notices)

Amazing dryer, huge capacity, super quiet, and connects to your phone. The door that you can pull down from the front can also be swung open from the side without haveing to to anything to the door, just functions both ways. Also indicates if there is and issue with vent clogging.

Just purchased this LG dryer and its performance to date has been excellent. It is user friendly, relatively quiet and just a pleasure to use. Clothes are dry in half the time of my previous dryer thus efficiency and cost savings are a hallmark of this upgrade.

I had 2 sets of washers/dryers in my laundry room - they were silver - so I needed to stick with something silver/black to match when one of my sets bit the dust. Love this LG steam dryer. So easy to use. The door opens top down or sideways for ease.

Went from a front load whirlpool to a top load LG washer and matching dryer. The washer works so much nicer, holds more cloths and does an excellent job of cleaning. The washer and dryer are very quiet and work extremely well, we are very happy.

Purchased both the LG top loader washer and this dryer. The dryer has a large capacity and is very quiet. Steamer option is a nice feature in freshening garments.
