DVD player is thin & small, it takes up little space. Comes with cable needed to connect to TV and remote control. Easy to connect & set-up. Nice quality picture and sound.

I bought this DVD player for watching discs so my review is about that and how it is to use the machine from an older, non-techy, boomer perspective. LG player syncs up well with my LG TV that was purchased in 2018. Player was easy to hook up due to color code system on the wires. The player has some "weight" to it--doesn't come out of the box feeling "cheap" Appears to be made well; the tray for the discs slides smoothly. The remote, though small, is readable with bright white lettering against the black plastic so the small lettering shows up adequately for the older bifocal crowd. The layout is fairly intuitive and you don't have to visually search fora long period of time for the most common buttons--pause, stop, etc. Batteries are included, and although my remote required a teeny bit of persuasion, the two AAA batteries when into place easily. The unit was packaged well and required scissors to breach the shrink-form plastic. Nothing damaged upon opening. The cardboard carton opened easily and everything was packed in a single, accessible layer making it easy for arthritic hands to unpack--no digging through layers of packing and fighting with laborious plastic bags, etc. I had to fiddle with my TV display to find the AV setting but once I got to the right place it was a matter of clicking on the screen to engage the movie. The quality of the movie appeared 3Dish and I'm not sure why. Attributing this to my TV as I haven't owned a new DVD player since 2018 and tech has probably changed. Price was decent for the unit and it didn't break my senior price budget at around 35ish. This would be a great item for your senior Christmas list and if you can con a grand kid to do the hook up it would be no labor at all :) another thing I like: the cords are not excessively loooooonnng. They don;t require trying to figure out a solution to tons of extra. If you need more, add an extension cord but other wise this appeals to the neat freak in me. The ease of unpacking, hook up and use gets it five stars. The picture is clear, captioning works so I'll leave the 480p, 1080p and all the other peeees to the folks who actually understand it. Suffice to say the player just makes a sixty-two year old cranky retired lady happy.

We needed a dvd player in bedroom. We are pleased with purchased. The LG dvd player size is compact. It's very easy to connect. Plus the quality of the picture is great!

Set up was quick and easy, took about 3 minutes. USB record option is nice. Included remote is very small but has all the needed functions of much larger remotes.

At $30, found the LG DP132 dvd player to be an excellent buy and value. Being of a certain age, I was reluctant to give up my vcr. This DVD player was an easy transition to new technology. Set up was easy, though instructions could have been more detailed. The illustrated instructions were adequate. This player was completely compatible with my smart tv, was very satisfied with the loading speed and the quality of the picture

The player itself was easy to use, but they should say that you have to look online for instructions. I am still trying to figure out how to record. The biggest peoblem was that I was charged $34.99 online but when I received the item, it had a sticker for $30.99. Why is that? I think I should be refunded the additional $4.00 since that was the listed price.

I wanted an inexpensive DVD player to go with my new LG tv. Easy set up, it plays. But they're so inexpensive these days you'd think they'd all come with an HDMI port. Nope! Not this one. HDMI provides better picture quality, especially when used with the new TVs. If you just need a DVD player for an old tv, this is a solid purchase. Otherwise, make sure you read the box and go with the latest and greatest. I'll be returning this one for HDMI capability.
