Easy install as it was plug and play. Auto installed through the browser when it auto detected it and it was ready to use. Replaced an old Cox modem with this and it increased my bandwidth by twice the original download speed. The lights on it are very bright in a dark room.

Bought this modem to replace my cable company rental. I was pleasantly surprised at how small it was and how easy the install turned out to be. Just plug it in, connect the coax cable and call your cable company. Done. Got the Apple AirPort Time Capsule to work with it as a router.

I did have to call charter spectrum to get into my account. Telephone call was about 10 min. Works great on my slow speed plan. Can watch Netflix on Samsung smart tv, while using cellphones on network.

I have had no issues using this modem. Got it to replace the modem that comes with my internet provider and it is smaller than theirs and does a better job. No more modem rental fees either.

I purchased this cable modem to replace a DOCSIS 2.0 modem that was thought to be having problems. The problems turned out to be external to the house, although I am most happy with the investment in this modem. While I am not running internet service that requires a DOCSIS 3.0 yet, the stability of this modem is much better than my previous one. The multi-channel functions of the DOCSIS 3.0 stabilized both the download and upload experiences. Some comments about the unit: ∙ Unit: It was much smaller than expected, is built solid with no complaints about the hardware. ∙ LEDs: The diagnostic LEDs are most helpful and easily visible to see at a quick glance the state of the modem. Although I have not had to diagnose any issues with the several months since I have powered it up and it has been running for 1432 hours now without any issues connected to a UPS. ∙ Diagnostic Page: There is a built-in diagnostic web page that provides excellent information as to the status and any events that have occurred. The WAN information was very helpful in troubleshooting problems outside of the house with the cable company some months ago. ∙ Setup: Can't be much easier. Connect it to the cable, Ethernet to your PC or Router, Apply Power, and call the cable provider to have them register it to their network. It took no more than 5-10 minutes for all of these steps and it was running. If you are looking to stop paying the rental fees from the cable companies and want a inexpensive and reliable cable modem, then this is it. I hope that this review will help you.

I received a free sample of this cable modem from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. That being said, I had been looking to upgrade my cable modem, which was a basic unit with 4 down and 4 up channels. This Linksys cable modem was very simple to set up, even with having to authorize it with Comcast. The instructions are very clear, and made hooking all of the cables up a breeze. Really, there are only three different cables, and they only fit into one place. However, it did explain to shut off my router as well to make sure that the router obtains its new settings. The speeds on my devices, especially on any devices connected to my 5GHz network were very noticeably faster. This modem has 8 channels download, which allows for more bandwith. The modem is smaller than the modem it replaced, however, the unit will only lay flat, which makes it have a bit larger footprint than the modem it replaced. All in all, this modem is a good value for the money, and will give you a much better experience than older, slower modems, as well as many of the rental units that you would get from your ISP.

Internet Speeds Fast but modem lasted only 8 mos because it ran hot and that's what made the modem fail.
