Bought phone for my father, love the size of buttons but wish phone would be easier to make a simple phone call. Yes you can have contacts on speed dial, however not everyone in your contacts will be out on speed dial. When you select a contact you have to press ok like 4 times before you can place the call. Other than that phone works good and volume a great as well.

This phone does the job: make and receive calls. Although the interface is fairly straight forward, this is not a good option for elders with early-mild dementia. Got this phone for my elderly mother and every day is groundhog day with explaining how to navigate it. She is also the type who never wanted to learn how to do anything for herself ever so that is the second portion of the battle. There are plan options but we did not select the plan that enables the emergency alert/call so I cannot review that specifically. We also did not set up texting or test out the camera as those are too much for my mother to handle. Overall the phone is decent but the individual who would use it should have decent cognitive capabilities. It is straight forward but does have 'extra steps' just to make a call which could over time become annoying.

the phone is exactly as advertised a phone with no internet browser and big keys very helpful for those who do not want an internet phone. the only draw back about this device is that, it does not let you access your texts when you are in a phone call.

It took some time to actually activate the phone for my 94 YO mom, primarily due to my work schedule, but it was fairly easy once I had the time. It took another 45 minutes over 3 phone calls and some 'net time to successfully migrate the Verizon phone #, but the customer service reps were all very patient & knowledgeable, and successfully navigated all the hurdles to complete the switch. My Mom is still learning how to use it, but she finally has a cell phone she will use as it has clear sound, buttons her weak arthritic fingers can actually push, and a easy flip opening. (She could barely get her old phone open.) We haven't gotten into the emergency app yet, but are looking forward to that extra level of peace of mind as she still lives alone in her own home.

Was skeptical because I saw a lot of mixed reviews but this has worked out great for my grandma. She was having trouble answering the nursing home phone but with this, see is easy to talk to when ever we need to reach her.

Needed a non smart phone for my family member and so far it has been great. Was able to set up quickly, has special functions (like tracking, calling emergency, calling Lyft etc) that I wasn't aware of prior to purchase.

Phone has been good for my 85 year old mother. However, the volume button being on the side of the phone where it is held during calls is a terrible design flaw. Very often while my Mom is talking, she inadvertently presses the volume button and turns it down to silent. She doesn’t know it is on Siena and then when I call and can’t get an answer, there is a panic on why she is not answering and requires someone to go to her house to turn the volume back up. Other than that, it has served her well. But this is an ongoing daily/weekly problem.

the phone itself is fine.... the phone must have sat at the store for quite some time. it needed updated, but yet there isn't any alert of any kind to tell you that it needs an update. Had lots of dropped calls, and unable to make outgoing calls. Returned the first phone to Best Buy thinking it was an issue with the phone.. Then the same issue with the second phone. It would be nice if there was some alert stating it needs an update, or if the Best Buy staff knows that the phone as been sitting there for a long time, maybe advise customer to call Lively to get it updated. Of course smart phones let you know when an update is needed, but these basic phones do not.

Pretty easy to use - check dates - some have been in stock for over a year and need additional updates- we thought we had it all set up with a customer service person…… But it still wouldn’t work right - just needed that customer service person who knew about the updates - 4 tries to get someone that figured it out

Best Flip Phone... ever. Large font, good speaker, & easy to use. Love it. Trust me, I have been through more than a few phones. Wish I would have done it years ago. I'm 70 y.o.

I purchased this phone for my mother who is 89 years old. It was to replace her previous Great Call phone which was damaged. This phone is easy for her to use and the large buttons are easy for her to see and the price makes the phone affordable. The gentleman I spoke to at the Great Call service center was very helpful in setting up the new phone. Overall, it was a good experience.

I like the most to be able to call the Operator and they will arrange for a ride with Lyft, I don't have to have the App. I miss being able to forward texts, but it's very easy to navigate. The User Guide isn't always helpful, you have to call them for clarification but the agents have been all very kind and patient and walked me through different processes. I love that to hang up you just close it, no frenetic finger up & down the screen. It's my main phone, small, fits in my pouch and I feel connected wherever I go. I have a second cell that I keep at home with a couple of apps that I favor, but it's too bulky to carry around comfortably.

Bought for my mom. She loves the security of the emergency help button. She has extremely bad arthritis & she can handle this phone well. I had to lock the side buttons (great feature) so she couldn't accidentally lower the volume.

It's great for a flip phone. Easy to use. Big Buttons.

Overall it is a solid easy to use flip phone. My mentally disabled brother (about 1st grade level adult) can manage it well once the contacts were put in. Fair price point, excellent customer service. I do wish the volume buttons were not placed in the area where most people hold the phone as he accidentally turns off the volume. Best thing overall we’ve found for him

I purchased this phone for my 82 year old sister who lives in a nursing home. The store clerk set it up for me and then I entered the phone numbers. The only issue we have had is a user error. My sister has accidently placed it on silence three times and once erased all of the phone numbers. These issues are not issues with the phone but with the user. Lively has been great to work with. I have an account set up. They even allowed me to pay a year in advance so I didn't have to worry about the monthly bill. It is a great phone for someone who is older. It is easy to use, easy to charge and easy to program numbers.

The phone would be a five star, if the ring tone to alert you that someone was calling, was much louder. As it is now I have to keep the phone by my side or I don't hear it.

Bought for Mom who is in late nineties, Easy to use and best part on speaker she can hear other person. It is nice for her to have her own phone.
