It is an excellent choice for my nephew's Alienware 17" gaming laptop. It looks like a mouse from Transformer movie. My nephew likes it very much.

The feel in the hand isn't the best I do like the grips on the sides however the right mouse button is lower than the right so it doesn't feel comfortable to me. Scroll wheel is perfect and able to free scroll of course. I used this with the 440 mousepad and I absolutely loved the glide feel.
