I got this smart light switch for my spa room. I have a bright chandelier which can be very bright. When I was working on clients, in order to dim the light I had to manually do it. Now, since Alexa is in the room, I just tell her to adjust it dimmer to the desired percentage and she does it for me. Installation was a breeze too. I am not an electrician, was afraid I was not going to be able to install it myself but I did a good job. Instructions are easy to follow. Definitely recommend this product. It is worth it.

Pros: I have tried several different switch manufacturers and Lutron gets exceptional marks for quality and stability. The need for a hub may aggravate some, but I have not had any problems with it and it has kept the system operating when others failed. In fact, this was a replacement for a switch from a manufacturer that pushed out a much needed and overdue security update but then, despite many promises and much effort, they would never reconnect. So, lesson learned, go with one that has been around for awhile and is dependable - Lutron Caseta is a prime example. You will not be sorry. Cons: They make a version that has a button in the middle that goes to a set (you establish the level) light level but it is about double the cost (not talking about a Pico remote - but the same idea). That is a great feature and makes controlling the lights more manageable and much easier to operate. If they ever get the price down that will definitely be an upgrade.

These are the best HomeKit switches I’ve experienced. Very responsive and reliable. I have never need to reset them or set them up again.

I’ve been slowly building out my HomeKit system with Lutron Caseta in-wall dimmers, lamp dimmers and pico remotes. I retired my Insteon/Alexa system a couple of years ago and I can say without hesitation that the Lutron devices are easier to setup, more reliable, and - in my opinion - more attractive when installed. Setup is a breeze using the Lutron app. Integration with HomeKit is easy (I also have the Lutron hub which is required to make this happen). I now have 8 of these dimmers and not one has been faulty or malfunctioned in any way. Another bonus: no neutral wire required! My home is 100 years old. No neutral wire to be found! These Lutron dimmers work without and function beautifully.

This Lutron switch, while more expensive, is my light switch of choice. This switch fits perfectly in my smart home configuration. The feature that sets it apart for me is the ability to operate the switch both manually and remotely, without having to reset my smart home configuration. Another great feature that I like about this light switch is the ability to adjust the light brightness to different levels. It was very easy to install and setup.

I landed on Lutron Caseta Wireless products after researching several options for smart lighting that were also Apple HomeKit compatible. I am very pleased with the performance of the Caseta Wireless system. It is fairly easy to install and if you have any questions, Lutron technical support is top notch, very friendly and was extremely helpful. I've had no issues with controlling my smart switches from the home or when away from home. This product works very well with Apple HomeKit. I'd recommend this lighting hub to anyone who is interested in upgrading their home to a smart home.

I purchased the Lutron Caseta Dimmer Switch to replace a Kasa Dimmer switch that I installed a year ago. I switched from the Kasa switch because they attach to your network using WiFi...the Caseta switch requires a separate Caseta hub that does not use WiFi for connectivity. I also liked the look of the Caseta Dimmer. Very happy with my purchase.

We just started integrating new technology for Smart Home applications. In particular, we were interested in controlling our products through WiFi and voice. For lighting, we wanted a hardwire solution for controlling lighting for the living room, dining room, kitchen, and family room. So, we installed five Caseta Wireless Switches, all hardwired and controlled via App and voice (we are in the Amazon ecosystem). Response times are excellent and almost instantaneous with the App command or voice command - no delay. The Lutron App simplifies setup and has a basic user interface that is easy to understand. The range is as described and the system is robust. We would highly recommend this for Home Automation.

This has been working great since I installed it to control the in-ceiling lighting in my house. You will need to make sure your lightbulbs are compatible, especially your LED lights, not all LED's are made the same. Also if you want to be able to control this switch/lights with your phone/away from home, you will need to buy the bridge or the starter pack that comes with the bridge. It is worth it though, it makes it so much simpler to control lights at a distance. I really like on nights I'm super tired and I sometimes forget to shut the lights off I can just tell Siri to turn them off and that way I don't have to get out of bed.

Easy to install. Simple to trim max/min brightness levels. Instantly responsive and works great with google home. It could be better, if it featured the “favorite brightness” button in the middle (like the pico remotes)

Lutron continues to be one of the easiest smart switches I have used and installed, and are the rave of my household (now that they're in the kitchen, entryway, and for outside lights). We use these with Apple Homekit scenes and automations and never have a problem. Are they pricey? Yes, but they're worth it AND Lutron stands behind their product should you ever have an issue (which I did with another switch - Lutron switched it out within a week).

I don't like the need to hold down the dimmer until it gets to where you want it to be and if you go to far it turns it off and you have to start over again. I also have one that will not connect to the app and allow me to remotely adjust it. Yes I tried to reset the device to no avail.

Excellent product, as well as the entire Caseta line. Very smart (no pun intended) switches, becauyse they also communicate with each other flawlessly as soon as you connect them, even when the wifi is down. The app is the best smart app I've seen, very simple format, easy to use and no issues with connectivity whatsoever, by itself or with Alexa. It also works great with other products that you can run from this same app (like Honeywell for AC and Ring APP). Highly recommend it.

My wife and I have been changing out the fixtures in our house. After we installed a new ceiling fan, we decided to install new switches for the light and fan. This switch was a great choice!! We already had some Lutron switches installed, so the setup was super easy. The dimming works well. It also works great with the pico remote. They are not the least expensive, but I highly recommend these light switches!!
