Was confused with this at first. Standard is a 1/4" and this one has a 3/8" screw. I brought back to store and after 1/2 hour, the sales associate at Best Buy figured out that the 3/8" slid down to expose the 1/4" screw. They need to show that in the instructions.

Excellent monopod for the price. There is no slippage when the legs are extended, and it is light enough to carry around just in case you might want to shoot video with a DSLR and can benefit having some extra stability to avoid camera shake when using a telephoto lens.

everything you need. has 2 sizes of screws. push down on the big screw to reveal the smaller 1/4 inch screw. great quality. don't cheapen out on your monopod, just spend the extra and get this one. You won't regret it. Sturdy.

This thing is stellar. The legs stay tight without a bunch of slop at the joints when you extend it out all the way, too.

I think it might be Ok for the money but the problem is it came damaged so have to return. I think we will buy a more expensive one with latches instead of twist knobs that lock. We are concerned about the longevity of these types of locking mechanisms.

Great Monopod for my Tamron 70-200mm lens!
But, it took me a little bit to figure out the 3/8" screw was spring-loaded and the 1/4" screw was inside.

It is not easy to use. It get stuck at times and sometimes the pole can still slide down. It is still a good option if you do not want the extra weight of a full tripod.

Build quality good. Lightweight and sturdy. Just beware that if you purchase a manfrotto ball head it may not take an arca Swiss plate.

Basic monopod. It is not the best one for packing and it takes sometime to lock and unlock the extension. However, it meets the purpose for what it is.
