I purchased my Microsoft go and the keyboard was on back order. I used the computer a few days until I received my keyboard. The keyboard offers great protecting for the computer and makes using it so much easier.

The keyboard provides a very good input device for the tablet when used to create documents. The touch and feel of the keyboards is good when on a flat hard surface but on the lap it's a bit tricky. Moves a little and makes me feel I've missed a keystroke. Since most of my work is on a desk, this isn't a big issue. Wish I could disconnect it and get the screen a bit further away. Maybe a cord to hook it up to the tablet would allow this as making it Bluetooth would require a battery and additional electronics which would add weight. Like that it protects the screen when shut.

For those like me who prefer a keyboard to the touch screen, this is great. Snaps on and off easily. Doubles as a cover for the screen. Very happy with my purchase.

I am so glad I got the Surface Go Type Cover. It is so easy to use and easy to connect and disconnect. It also protects the screen so I didn't have to buy any other cover.

The first tablet PC I owned was an 8" HP toy. There were a number of keyboards for it. And... they were useless. Because they were small? Yes, to an extent -- but mostly because THEY REARRANGED THE KEYS. Keys such as the quote key weren't in the right place -- they were moved next to the space bar, or required some special key combination. Maybe it would have been workable -- if you never used any other keyboard and could learn its quirks. But since I had other computers that I used more, it just tangled my fingers. Hopeless. This keyboard is right. The keys are where you need them. Yes, it's small -- if you are going to use the Surface Go for real work at a desk, you might seriously want to consider getting a bluetooth keyboard as well. But for on the go -- this is a usable keyboard that takes almost no space and weight almost nothing AND protects your screen. Neither the Surface Go nor its keyboard is a full substitute for a proper laptop. On the other hand, a proper laptop doesn't have LTE and won't fit in such a small space. For what it does, it's a great combination.

This is a must for the Surface GO. Fingers are just too big to really do the little thing justice, and typing from the screen keyboard is too much of a pain for me as I am used to keyboard typing and have been for 30+ years. It is a good screen cover as well and with it closed a screen protector is not needed. The only improvement I would make is to have a joystick mouse key instead of the swipe mouse pad that it comes with, and use the extra space that would produce for a bit bigger keyboard, maybe with special function keys for better access to device control.

It works great with the surface go. I only use it for fairly short sessions so not sure how it would do for extended work periods, would probably use a large Bluetooth keyboard in that scenario. All in all it works fine and protects the screen while traveling. Easy to use, with decent response. Recommended!

I replaced my aged laptop with a Surface 2. I got the keyboard along with the tablet. Together they are more than capable. The designers did a fantastic job. The keyboard clips on magnetically. The connection is sure and robust. When closed it protects the tablet screen. The magnet also holds the pen securely. There is an on screen keyboard but it’s a bit of a pain to use. I highly recommend the keyboard to anyone buying a Surface 2. In fact you’d be a right git not to. I’m very happy with my new keyboard. In fact it should be sold in the same package. IMHO

This is definitely a must-have! the keyboard feels great when typing and using the trackpad, the magnetic end pops easily onto the tablet, and it's very easy to use!

If you are getting a Surface GO and intend to do some typing either for work, email, web browsing, this one is a must have. I decided to go for this keyboard and not the alcantara mainly for pricing (plus I prefer my devices to be black). The keyboard has a nice texture and the front has the same texture as previous surface keyboard. The trackpad is a lot bigger which is nice and it suppots lots of shortcuts on it (three finger scrolling to lower volume, four finger scrolling to swap between taps, etc. all of it can be set for your personal preferences). I highly recommend it. It also has lit keyboard too!

Bought for my daughter to go with laptop which was only touch screen, she loves it the keyboard makes it so much easier to use. Compact and easy to use for school

Easy to use keyboard and case for the surface! I think it is necessary to purchase one if you get the surface! It's a great product

Got this to complete my Surface Go experience. It is a little cramped but the buttons feel very nice and easy to adjust to. Like how I can just slap it onto the Surface Go to get a complete Windows experience and take it out when I just want to use the tablet on its own.

Yes unfortunately the price 399 was too good to be true but you cant type fast with out a keyboard. So apply 100+ and you can take home a complete laptop

I LIKE USING THIS PORTABLE KEYBOARD AS IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT AND SOFT. THE KEYS FLEX BACK WITH EASE.

This keyboard is perfect. Clicks into place easily, works very well with the Go. It doesn’t add very much weight to the Go at all. Love it.

This Surface Go Type Cover is great. I love the feel of the keys and even at its smaller size, it does not feel to cramped together.

Great detachable keyboard for my Surface Go. Easily attaches and detaches. Good feel for a small keyboard, and light weight.

Not sure what happened before, but when I purchase this keyboard in Nov 2018 I had to exchange them at best buy about 3 times!... They kept on having issues with 1 key or another one. Finally when I did my 3rd exchange I got one that felt it was better quality and that all the keys are now of good quality. I think Microsoft realized of their mistake and listen and did something. Thank you Microsoft! I have been using this keyboard for about 8 months on the daily and it works amazing!
