Xbox live is where it's at. This can be purchased anywhere but with the Best Buy perks, it was a no brainer purchasing from here.

Great price on Black Friday but it is useless because not much free stuff

Microsoft's only saving grace with how they operate in their gaming ecosystem. Games with Gold is normally great, the support seems good for the most part, and I feel like I'm actually getting value out of what I'm buying. It's reliable, usable, and is discounted often enough that I don't mind how it's required.
