If you own an Xbox, you absolutely need to have a LIVE Gold membership. Save a few dollars over shorter term memberships plus you won't miss out on playing games in your favorite community with friends. With this membership, you will have access to more games and players than you could ever imagine.

The plastic that this card is made out of is unbelievable and for just $59 I could not pass it! I have used it to cut boxes open, scrape dishes clean, and remove old stickers from my car! Oh and it gives me a 12 month membership to Xbox live so that was an added bonus.

What else is there really left to say, other than for $60 you can play on line and get some pretty good games for 'free'...as long as you keep your Live account. But really, after the 360, the console gaming landscape was changed to almost require on-line play, so consider yourself subscribing each year.

Every Christmas I purchase this card from Best Buy for my grandson for Christmas, This is a tradition that we have been carrying on for years now. It is shipped to my home in time for our yearly get together and it always makes us happy that he gets something that he will use.

We have the XBox One and we renew our XBox Live for one reason - Fun. My boys and I have lots of fun playing the games and there's nothing better than the Star Wars Battlefront online game play that transports us to our favorite galaxy far far away. Best Buy had this on sale, which made it all too easy.

Great addition to the Xbox one for children who do not have anyone to play with. This allows them to talk and play games with people all over the world. The only time I have seen it on sale is on Black Friday and maybe one other random promotion throughout the year.

Great membership for a year. Get free games and other perks for the price. Just be sure to take advantage of it to get your monies worth.

Even if you only play on the Xbox occasionally, the one-year Gold subscription is still better, as it breaks down to less per month than the three-month option.

It's just an Xbox live service extension. Why would I want to review this purchase from Best Buy? I don't know either. I did get 25 free best buy points for doing so, so I get that's a good enough reason.

Scratch, enter code, go. Easy enough. Keep an eye out for sales. Best Buy had this $10 off when I got it, and they'll price match if you see it better.

Xbox gold is a service that let's you play multiplayer on xbox and a couple of other things. it's pretty much a necessary thing and works as advertised, so my review is to say, if you need it, make sure you get it when it's on sale - as cheap as possible. There are no alternatives, so get a good deal.

I have purchased this for 2 years running for my son. He said that this is the only thing he really could think of that he would like to have for his birthday. He said it helps him stay in touch with friends, since he is in school out of town, that he would not be able to enter act with otherwise.

It is a straight forward year of Xbox Live Gold. With Gold users can play multiplayer games online vs friends, receive discounts on game and DLC purchases. Also included is Xbox Games with Gold, which gives users 3-4 free games each month from the past catalog of games.

What can I say, I play too much for too long and I'm loving every minute of it. (Actually this purchase was for my son so he's the addicted one with zero concept of time and has extremely poor social skills...but it makes my life easy as I use this to bribe him to do work around the house)

Xbox Live Gold is still the best console online experience, and is worth the cost of admission. I like to buy cards, rather than have auto renewal, because occasionally I need to add something to a Christmas list or the like, and this is less boring than a regular gift card from the giver's perspective.

Often, the Gold memberships go on sale. I got my 3 month for $14.99 during Black Friday. If you're an XBOX One owner, and use it very often and like a range of games, you should probably get the Gold membership. Even if you don't buy an games, you can still enjoy them.

sure it can be found cheaper but these days the smallest update can break the system. The free games haven't even been really worth it. All the apps are cool but otherwise free or art of your tv service

If you want to play games against your friends then you must have XBOX Live. The free games that it comes with is very nice feature as well.

If you want to play online on Xbox, you need this or a Game Pass Ultimate subscription (not necessary for free-to-play games like Fortnite, though). Great weekly discounts on the Xbox Store are also available for Gold members. The monthly free "Games with Gold" titles often pale in comparison to PS Plus' monthly offerings, however.
