Versus you paying $9.99 a month for the same thing, you will end up paying $120 for the year. Why? When you can pay half that and forget about it! I would definitely recommend!

Especially when on sale (I purchased for $40 instead of the normal $60), it allows for a year of online multiplayer as well as access to 4 games monthly via "games with gold." 48 games for $40? Yes, please!

It's the best way to play multiplayer games and the Games with Gold program along with the additional discount on digital purchases make it even more worth it. Always look for deals and don't pay full price for an Xbox Live membership.

He mentioned to me that it was the best birthday gift ever. I also bought him Xbox head phones. He’s only allowed to play on weekends if he continues to be a straight A A+ student.

After that 2 month free trial I realized I no longer wanted/needed the service. Now that I have an Xbox One I was made aware of all the perks of membership, and Gold is the way to go!
