I love Xbox Live. I have been a member since the very beginning. It’s evolved so much over the years. I used PlayStation Network for PS3 and PS4; was disappointed with the lack of organization in comparison to Xbox Live. This is the gold standard!

The following comment is related to the purchasing and use experience only, and not to the actual online service gained by the Xbox gold membership itself. As I bought several memberships, one can assume the gaming experience provided by the Gold membership is great. I purchased four of the 12 month subscriptions as Christmas gifts for family members. I now regret doing so. The cards are not active and I'm directed to contact the retailer (Best Buy) and request that the activate them. As it is past their store hours, I'm left waiting until tomorrow to seek resolution to this problem. I'll have to get my recipe and cards, and then drive to a Best Buy store and hopefully not spend more than an hour on this fiasco. Ironically, I purchased these to avoid Microsoft's automatic renewals. As Best Buy does not offer refunds on "software", I'll have to put up with the hassle of activating them one at a time over the next several months, as memberships expire for the gamers in the family. Most definitely, I will never buy these from any store as the experience has left me "triggered" as my kids would say. I'll stick to renewals on the console only from now on.

I got this for a goop price and it allows my son to game online. Also xbox live gives you new free games ever month.

For things like this I prefer to have a physical card rather then just a download link, so if you're the same just run into the store and get your physical media. I was in and out in less then 5 minutes and had the code on my xbox one even faster.

This is the best online service hands down. Hardly any problems while playing, and those that exist is due to other players' slow connections. You get 4 free games a month and a bunch of sales are always going on. My subscription's been live for like 7 years now. I love it.

The best time to purchase these cards is during sale events...then, at that time to stock up. I prefer the physical card as opposed to other retail options with the "e-card" because at least if it doesn't work you can always visit a retailer. Now i'm signed up through 2018.

i got this and liked it. The games that are offered you can download and save in your library. I ended up upgrading to ultimate gamepass but you dont keep those forever. If you dont renew them you lose your games.

For some reason Xbox deals won’t recognize the back of the code of my 12 month Xbox live gold deals.

My sons loves playing Fortnite and wanted to play on his XBox. However, you need a Live account in order to do so. So after his free trial wore off, we got him this gift card to give him for Christmas. $5/month seems pretty reasonable to me.

I'm not a gamer, but got this as a trial for my kids. Don't know if we even used it's full capacity. Can't really tell you much other than it came with the package deal.

Membership is needed to play online so it's pretty much a mandatory purchase but Microsoft has done a great job at least making it worth your while. In the past couple of years I've gotten great "Games with GOLD" that more than make up for the $60 membership cost.

In the past, I have purchased the 12 month Xbox live somewhere else. Once it was entered, we discovered it was not a 12 month! Never again! I now buy all my gaming gift cards from Best Buy, because I know that I’m getting what I paid for!

Got to have this to play online. I prefer the year long one, but got this one because my Xbox came with one.

Best Buy, is the best place to get your xbox live cards easy to use and convienient I also got microsoft points for my grandsons and also got play station points and a steam card for another grandson. They have something for every gamer.

Games with Gold on Xbox Live is good, offering up a great value.. Just wish it got more AAA games like PS Plus.

I purchased a 12 month Xbox Live Gold membership for the first time a couple years ago and I love the convenience. I typically use the "Online Game Code" option which provides you with a code you enter on your Xbox or within your Xbox Live account.

I get it. We all hate our kids even more now we have to stare at each other all dang day and can't get a break. At least you can buy them this and then go out and punch a squirrel instead of the wall.

Let's face it, you gotta have Xbox Live Gold to fully enjoy the benefits of the Xbox One S... besides, who doesn't want to play Gears of War 4 online? That's the main reason I bought my Xbox One!

Wish Xbox love was a little cheaper but can’t really complain about the free games every month and great online play
