    Alert is given by a siren and flashing light. It is loud. So you will heard the warning. Reception for radio stations is good.

    The unit has a battery backup that can be charged either with the hand crank, USB port, or even a solar panel. It has a flashlight, weather radio, and another USB port to charge a phone with.

    I couldn’t find a NOAA radio. Best Buy was sold out but I was able t order from the catalog and ick them up 3 days later. I got 4 and I will give them as gifts

    We already got our money worth from the radio. we had bad weather for the last six weeks. The alert part works great. It was always going off.
