If you don't hook things up in the right order it doesn't switch the sound from the computer to the TV, so many times you get picture on TV but sound out of device. I have done it right a few times on accident, I just haven't figured out the order. Other than that it is super easy to use.

Microsoft mini display.

But it was the service that made the purchase an A+. I try to be informed before making any purchase, but was not 100% sure I was looking for the exact item. The rep. In the Microsoft department helped find and and assured me this was the product I needed. Helped I brought my surface with me.
