Didn't have any problems.

Easy external monitor add to Surface Pro

Plug in port on surface pro...plug into external monitor or tv. Automatically installs drivers...tweeks to screen size and icon placement needed, but, this is an excellent option for those wanting an inexpensive solution to a "desktop" surface pro. Also recommend adding a powered USB hub to extend that 1 usb port and add a wireless mouse and keyboard.
