Great service. They use tmobiles service. No issue with 4g, call, or internet service at all. My mom loved it so much we got the 1yr plan. Best price for unlimited service. Customer service needs to improve though.

I bought this for my son who is younger and only needed a phone for after-school sports activities so we could keep in touch since he was not riding the bus home. This was inexpensive and I had wanted to try it. I have not been a big fan of t-mobile in the past, and this piggy-backs on their network, but for $15 a month, you will not lose a lot if it fails to perform. I have found it quite worth the price and more. It rarely has less signal than my AT&T phone and it is super simple to get going. The biggest downside is not bestbuy, but Mint Mobile website on the account side (not the main website), it is a little lacking and a lot of it is really you figuring it out on the website. I did call and found them to answer the call quickly and were helpful to walk me through things, but it seemed confusing on the website and should be easier in my opinion. I ended up buying the year plan after this 3 month trial was up because I liked it enough. I have not made the jump yet on my phone, but I may at some point, however it is great for a child's line that you don't want to pay a ton of money for. Best Buy even has a great deal on this 3 month starter.

I’ve been using the Mint Mobile 3-month unlimited prepaid plan and it’s been excellent. Coverage is reliable, speeds are solid for daily use, and the price is unbeatable. Setup was quick and easy. Great value for anyone looking to save on wireless service.

For the price, you can't really beat it. But before you buy, you should do a little bit of research. I bought in store when getting my husband a cheap-ish smart phone. I had actually meant to get a different prepaid plan, but store rep must have misunderstood me, which is understandable, because masks are hard to hear through clearly. I hadn't noticed the mix up until I got home. Husband didn't care, so he applied it to the phone anyway. First thing is, before you buy, you should visit Mint Mobile's website to see how well your phone will do with their network. I think they run off of T-Mobile towers? How well you get service varies by phone and location. I checked my husband's and it was "fair" while for my phone it was "good." Another thing to note is that you will probably be on a lower priority level since you are using T-Mobile towers, but not with T-Mobile. So if you have a lower rating for your phone given by Mint, you will probably experience some frustration, especially with data. Second thing, the first 3 months is $60, so $20 per month for 10GB of data and unlimited calls and text. But it doesn't stay that way unless you buy 12 months at a time. Otherwise, after 3 months the price goes up. I don't have all the details, but you can see on Mint Mobile's website. My husband's opinion on the service isn't so great, but he usually complains about everything anyway lol. I will say, that he has had issues sending out texts, but only when he has WiFi calling turned on. Probably a problem with which port the calls/text are being sent to in the router. I'm just guessing, but they may be getting assigned to the same port, so texting is unable to go through. So I wouldn't blame that part on the mobile network so much. I'm just putting this on here in case anyone else is confused why they can't send a text message while wifi-calling is enabled, because it would be easy to assume that it's the mobile network's issue and overlook a routing issue at first glance. Overall, Mint's service is ok for the price, but I wish they would make it more obvious that you get the most savings during the first 3 months and if renewed for 12 whole months at a time. If you are someone that needs dependable service or are a heavy data user, I would not recommend Mint to you.

I got this product when it was on a special offer for just $45 for 3-months of unlimited talk, text, and data. This was an excellent buy! I set it up myself with my new cell phone - and it was easy. Just consult the videos and written instructions available on the Mint Mobile web site. The service in my area is excellent! I have made long distance calls to family in the US and the United Kingdom that were clear at both ends. I get 5G data with excellent throughput. I highly recommend it!

So far so good. I came from T-Mobile so I understand what service I should expect. Service has felt like 90% of what I had with TMobile. The buy 3 months get 3 months is the best time to get this card. Porting my number just took minutes. You just need to know your account number and PIN for porting. It's definitely a good value. I probably could've gone with the 10GB phone plan, but got the 15GB for future proofing.

Great so far. Easy to set up with a new number and new unlocked iPhone. Just pop in the SIM card after activation. I don’t use much data so it was a really good deal. Can’t beat having 3 months free! Calls, messages, etc. all work as expected only had some minor hiccups with wireless calling enabled (missed 2 calls they didn’t go through). But other than that it’s great. Would recommend as long as you have good coverage in your area.

Short story, my wife as a teacher had been on a Verizon plan that kept getting more and more expensive (despite us having a "discount"). So we switched to MetroPCS and at $30/mo largely had decent coverage but despite swapping several phones and even buying ($300) phones outside of their service (a service that gives you a basic phone every six months if you take advantage of it), we were still getting missed text messages. Skip ahead and my daughter now needs a phone. A coworker tried and switched his entire family to Mint mobile so I thought we would give it a try. I'm glad we did. The service after just a few weeks has been great, and since we have our own devices the bill is low. Currently, they are even doubling the service time frame, so this three months for new customers is now six months. And even after that service will only be $15/mo per line. The issues with missed texts also seems to be fixed, which is great. It was something that we had even tried adjusting the phones APN with MetroPCS, yet it works without issue on Mint.

Mint mobile is one of the best values in prepaid service! Ive used them in the past and have had easy, simple setup with great coverage and fast LTE data service. Coverage provided on TmoS equipment. This 12GB plan is adequate for my needs. Purchased during the holidays for about 3hirty Do11ars! UNBELIEVABLE Value!!!

I finally braved it and made the move to Mint. It transferred my number over att lightning speed. Less than 5 minutes for the ported number to appear on the Mint network. No problems so far after a week. I don’t see any difference and it’s $30 less per month than I was paying even with the discount I had! I’ll be renewing for Mints annual price discount. No regrets in changing carriers.

Easy and Convenient! Was looking for a new prepaid service for my other phone instead of using Simple Mobile or adding on to my contract with my personal cell. This was a great alternative, especially with it being 3-months and not having to worry about paying month to month. If you have great service with T-Mobile in your area, this will work perfect! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Smooth buying experience at Best Buy—easy online purchase and quick locker pickup. Setting up the Mint Mobile 3‑month plan was straightforward, and transferring my number from Spectrum took about five minutes, even though Mint said it could take longer. The $45 price for 3 months ($15/month) is good, but the 5GB monthly data plan limit feels too low to have a positive internet experience, especially since Mint offers this same plan to customers 55 and older. Not very senior‑friendly. This is why I rate it 4 stars instead of 5.

So I needed to switch phone plans because my previous phone carrier kept raising their prices and just had bad services at certain times. That's when I kept seeing ads for this phone carrier and when I saw that BestBuy had this, i thought why not just give it chance and see how it'll work in my area. So far it has been great and just keeps getting better with more addictions they have added during the time I've had it. Overall it's been great in my day to day usage.

Service works great in built up areas an along major highways. Coverage spotty in rural areas .... but at $15 per month 2 Gig of data unlimited voice & text. Not a deal breaker for me. Toughest part of the set up was finding the little pin to open the SIM door, then I found out one was in the kit. Didn't port my old number yet, so no experience on that potentially scary process. Once the Mint online account set up and the new SIM installed I restarted the phone and it all worked. Easy Peasy! A few setups internal to the phone (Apple 6S) No need to call Mint. I did backup the phone and reset it including a fresh OS upgrade before I started. Once Mint was running, I pulled back in my data apps and some photo's (was running out of space) You will need you Apple account password.

Incredible deal! And it’s on the T-Mobile network, plus 5G access on any plan if your phone is 5G capable. You really can’t go wrong here buy 3 months of service and Mint Mobile matches you with 3 more months!! You’d be foolish not to go with this MVNO. I’ve already been recommending them to anyone.

Purchased at Best Buy & wow the whole process start to finish was surprisingly amazing! I set this up for my dad who was tired of high rates w our carrier of 20yrs. The system prompts you step by step with the ability to bring your own phone, finance one thru them or purchase an unlock phone straight up. It goes quickly and sets up almost immediately even though they said an hour or 2, it was up and running within 10mins! The sim had the option of different sizes so it doesn’t matter what phone you have. It worked so well my brother switched with no hiccups, of course my mom, an aunt and I’m considering switching my own family. Oh and one last thing if after you think you did everything and you’re not sure if it was done correctly, dial 611 you’ll be immediately assisted by a Mint rep. They are knowledgeable and thorough. 24-72 hrs later you get your bonus months!!!

Great service at very reasonable cost plus getting 3 months offer for the price of 3 months is even awesome. Ordered online but took 3 days to be ready to pickup. I picked up the sim and got home only to find the simcard itself was missing :) We could not believe. I went back to store and explined what i found, they were able to replace it but had to order again and wait of 7 days more. Finally on the day of pickup, I opened on spot to makesure the SIM card is present. Got home, gave it my wife. It was simple couple of mins steps online on mint and number activated within 15 mins. And day, account was updated with 3 more months of service. awesome deal. Quality is very good so far. No trouble so far. I had xfinity before, which used crack a lot even if i m outside.

After having a lot of issues with Google Fi Unlimited, my wife and I started to research on the Web about Mint Mobile; we were comparing Mint Mobile Unlimited features and benefits against others carriers. At the end, we decided to switch to Mint Mobile Unlimited Plan for so many reasons, we successfully transferred our existing phone numbers without any issue, it was very fast. Now we are saving a lot of money each month, without sacrificing anything, the 5G network coverage is excellent. You just need to have an unlocked phone, preferably a 5G compatible factory unlocked phone, purchase the Sim card kit, and setup your account, and that's it!
