    Ok budget watch

I have been using this watch for about a week and I've decided its review time. First, you have to consider it's price point, and realize it's not going to be top of the line. It's not going to give you the performance of something like a Galaxy Watch or Apple Watch. At this price, it's aiming to be an intro to the WearOS world and an intro into smartwatches/activity trackers. With that said, it's an ok watch. It's not stellar in any particular area. It's light, which I like. The heart rate sensor is pretty dang accurate. The UI is smooth once it loads. And that's about where it turns less than great. The load times aren't stellar, everything in the UI takes at least a second and a half to load, which for a lightweight WearOS is a bit on the long side. More often than not, when I invoke the Assistant regardless of how, I'm first told it can't connect, then after a second try tapping the microphone it listens. Then, when I compose a text, whether a new message or reply with voice, it takes two times for the message to be heard by the watch. Then something that annoys me is the wake-up function. It takes at least a couple seconds to wake up the screen whether I tap or twist my wrist, which should definitely not take that long. With the time it takes to do anything with it, I could do the same action on my phone faster, which defeats the purpose of a wearable OS in the first place. I applaud the price, but it's gotta perform at a level that makes me comfortable leaving my phone in my pocket more often than not, and this one just doesn't do it for me.

      Hello jman007,

Thank you for taking time for such a detailed review of the Ticwatch E! I'm glad you can, at least partially, appreciate the watch for what it offers at the price point. However, we're sorry your watch is having issues with the microphone and Assistant. Please replace your model via Best Buy or email [email protected] for customer assistance regarding more on these issues as we may provide a warranty so you may get a watch that is working properly.

      Thanks again for chiming in!

    Solid Watch, Problematic Battery

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought the watch a month ago because I wanted to try and get into smart watches. I'm always getting emails, text notifications, and calls so I finally caved and bought this affordable item. Pros: *Lightweight *Multiple watch facess *Easy to connect *Affordable Cons: *A little bulky *Battery issue (see below for explanation) *Short charging cable (personal opinion) For two weeks everything went well. The watch did it's purpose and the battery was slightly better than expected. However, I've been facing problems in regards to the watch randomly shutting off completely whenever it reaches 50% or when I hit the home button. I thought that it needed to be restarted but the problem still continues to this day. Once it shuts down, the watch is only able to turn back on when its placed on its charger. It boots back up and the battery display says 1%. This 1% percent charge lasts for 3 more hours though so there is something wrong with the watch. Will be contacting Mobvoi in regards to their warranty. I would recommend to a friend, HOWEVER this battery issue has soured my view of the product. I honestly do like it.

      Hello TechSavvyGuy!

First, thanks for trying out our watch and sharing your experience! We're sorry that the Ticwatch E has caused issues for you. Traditionally, we would recommend that you charge your battery to 100% and allow it to discharge to 0% 3 times for a full three power cycles. However, since your battery won't charge past 50% in this case, we'd recommend that you let us look at the watch personally and take care of you in the process.

Please apply for a warranty at support.mobvoi.com and our team would be happy to take care of you!

    Great watch and value but......

For the price, you can't beat this watch. Wear OS lets you use all the apps from your phone (unlike Samsung). I am in the midst of cycling the battery which is supposed to help. My only complaint is that they force you to use their Fitness app by swiping left - there is no way to customize this to Google Fit for example. BOO

      Hello JMac,

I'm sorry that you're annoyed by the current implementation of Tic Health instead of Google Fit for the fitness app shortcut. We have heard feedback on this loud and clear. We hope to make our customers happy and did not mean for this to create such a negative impact in our user experience. Thank you for trying Mobvoi.

This smart watch was an excellent bargain. Even though it appears to be more expensive, it offers superb craftsmanship at an affordable price. The wrist band or strap is extremely durable and the touch screen dazzles the eye. Caution to those who own a Pixel 2 XL. This device can not receive calls if an additional Bluetooth headset is connected simultaneously.

Why spend more for a Samsung or Apple watch?

I decided on the TicWatch E as my upgrade destination after wearing an Asus Zenwatch for a couple of years and let me just say it was a fantastic choice. I did contemplate competitor devices but, after comparing feature sets and, most importantly, price, there was no better choice to make than the Ticwatch E. As a bonus I got a device with styling I also enjoy...there isn't any goofy contouring, weird colors, or all around crap on this device. It's also super lightweight, incredibly responsive, and just all around fantastic. The only thing that needs tweaking is setup and I would like to see the devices be able to use 5ghz wifi in the future. At home all we use is 5g and when the watch went to pick up my wifi settings from my phone of course the wifi did not work. Once I turned on 2.4g and added it the watch it buzzed right along with setup.

The short story: I LOVE this watch. The slightly longer version: It's really cool (and get lots of compliments, too). It comes pre-loaded with lots of apps that are applicable to your everyday needs (e.g., fitness stat apps, weather, calendar linking, find my phone, several google apps, etc.). It even comes loaded with games. It's super easy to sync with your android phone and fast and easy to setup. The battery life is great, too--I can wear it for 48 hours straight and it still has some juice left. I've had it for about a month and it's met every bit of my expectations. Definitely recommend.

    Android Wear OS is good...

Switched from my Apple Watch (post-Pebble) and this is kinda good. I like what Google is doing with the OS but it's not good at heart rate nor sleep so I went FitBit Versa instead. If you don't care about these two things then get this right now - great price and everything else is, honestly, fun.

    Considering Returning

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

First off, this is NOT my first smartwatch. I am not a heavy user, I just like having a smartwatch that let's me know when I have a notification, etc. Well, without running ANY apps (just maintaining Bluetooth connection to my phone), and the brightness on the dimmest setting, I get about 6-7 hours of battery life (keep in mind that the watch times out almost immediately, shutting the screen off). I followed the instructions on charging, letting the watch die, and repeating, and I have found no difference. I'm hoping that either A) there is a solution or B) Best Buy will allow me to return the item for a full refund. I understand that this watch is inexpensive, but based on my experience, it isn't worth the money.

      Hello Dennis,

I'm sorry to hear that your experience has been negative regarding the Ticwatch. If the power cycles are not working for your issue and you've made sure to charge the item properly, there is a possibility that the battery you have may be defective and in need of exchange/return. Thanks for letting us know about this.

I purchased a ticwatch e to replace my original LG G watch I had been using for at least 2 years. So far I a very impressed and it's exactly what I wanted. Pros: battery life - the watchface you choose will affect this dramatically. I use Watchmaker Pro to creat my own custom faces. It gives you percentages showing how efficient your design is. Highly recommend. I'm getting about 1.75 days on average. Style - minimalist and rugged. Didn't want anything too flashy as it's used primarily on the job. Cons: Stock watch band - always getting out of place and the little bands that hold the tail thingy slide off easily. Thankfully it uses a standard 20mm band so I was able to order on off Amazon from the same company I got my 22mm band from for my g watch. Overall I can't see you going wrong especially for the sale price of $115ish

    Terrible Purchase

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The best thing about this watch is it’s look and comfortability. Outside of that, this watch, and more importantly, Ticwatch customer service, is terrible. The watch repeatedly failed to connect to the app on my phone forcing me to reset the watch numerous times. After I completely reset the watch 4+ times, it finally stayed somewhat connected but was far from consistent. The watch was extremely slow and was almost impossible to update. I was connected to WiFi and had a full battery life but the updating process randomly stopped multiple times. I reached out to Ticwatch support and started the troubleshooting process via phone but was advised to send an email. The person on the phone was very helpful BTW. It took multiple emails lasting 5 days to get nowhere! And once I finally supplied them with the required information, I didn’t respond to an email for 24 hours and they threatened to cancel my incident. At that point I was 100% done with Ticwatch and returned the watch to Best Buy. Thankfully I returned the watch within Best Buy’s 15 day policy and moved on with my life, besides this review. I simply want people to understand Ticwatch technology is terrible and their customer service is worse. I would rather be fat than deal with it.

I recommend paying a little more and getting a better watch. Returned after 2 days because the tilt to wake feature would take 3-4 seconds turn on screen and keeping screen on all the time kills the battery. On the plus side it's very comfortable. I ended up getting a galaxy watch and I have not regretted it.

    Flaky and unstable

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

My initial impression of this watch was its terrible battery life (less than 12 hours), but I immediately received a major Wear OS update that resolved this. However, the watch has turned out to be very unstable. At least once per day it randomly resets for no apparent reason. I sometimes go to check the time, only to find the screen dark even though the watch is not in battery saver mode. Every once in a while, the watch freezes up or has a garbled display, and I must manually reset it. Today the battery went from a full charge to 10% in about five hours, but this is the first time I've had this issue since the Wear OS update, so I don't know if this will now be an ongoing issue or just an isolated event. Overall, this is a terrible product and I wish I hadn't spent my money on it.

I bought this thing yesterday and after fully charging it it doesn't want to work. I updated it to the newest software I guess and thing just doesn't want to work or connect to my phone. It just gives me a dark screen, the only thing that works is Google assistant when I press and hold the button. Don’t waste your time on this watch. All ticwatch products are cheap and their customer service is terrible.
