Great wine opener, makes opening and preserving bottles of wine extremely simple. I love the recharging base that is included.

I'm really impressed with this wine bottle opener! I thought it was going to be some what of a gimmick, but it turns out that it really is a great little bottle opener. It's sleek, well made and works! You charge it up, lights up the whole clear window blue (which I could live without as it remains lit the whole time it charges) but once charged, the blue LED light goes out. After trimming off the foil from the top of the wine bottle, place the bottom of the opener on top of the wine bottle and press the down button. The corkscrew winds down and pierces the cork in the bottle. Press the up button and the bottle opener pulls the cork out of the bottle, easily and cleanly. Once the wine bottle is open, you then press the down button again, and the cork slowly unwinds from the corkscrew and is deposited out of the bottom. Works perfectly every time. Very simple to use.

I bought this when it was a Deal of the Day and it is the easiest opener I’ve used to date. Most openers require you to push down on the cork to get it going. This opener eliminated that. All you do is stand the opener on top of the bottle, aligned with the cork and it does all the work for you. It also comes with two wine stoppers and the top part of the opener is a like a vacuum sealer for those stoppers. I bought another one for my mom, because she has arthritis in her hands and shoulders and it was becoming difficult for her to open a bottle. She absolutely loves this product. It doesn’t look or feel cheap at all. This is a perfect gift to give any wine lover, for Christmas, birthdays, or as a house-warming gift.

The hands are getting older and more boney, so using a corkscrew has become a hassle. I bought this opener thinking it might work but no great loss if it didn't (considering the sale price). I was pleasantly surprised: it works great and continues to work well five months since its purchase. Only once did a cork get wedged inside the unit; this wasn't much of a problem to remove and otherwise, its use has been flawless.

I thought all electric wine openers were created equal until I had to replace my first Modal unit after a fire. Nope! I bought another Modal model (Modal™ - Rechargeable Wine Opener and Preserver Set - Black) because it had more accessories and just all around looked fancier and after finding that I literally had to charge it after every bottle opened, leaving me frustrated and temporarily thirsty, I broke down and repurchased this one.

What a fabulous gift for someone who drinks wine! I bought this on a whim when it was offered half-price on a one-day-sale for my husband for Father's Day. Well, he got it early because of the return policy and has been opening bottles of wine just to use this device! He even accidentally opened a screw cap bottle! Boy was he surprised when he realized there was no cork! LOL The caps that come with it worked on the no-cork bottle as well as they work in place of the original cork. The machine sucks out all the air and keeps the wine fresh for next time! Absolutely great device! And it looks nice on the kitchen counter.

Comes with a cutter and corks. The electric wine opener easily handles corks. Flip the unit over and you can suck the air out of the bottle using the included corks. Recharable. Btw, the corks are numbered around the top so you can indicate which day of the week it was seeled. Thus helps answer the question, “how long has the bottle been open?”

Before this purchase, we often struggled in removing the metal foil cover off the top of the wine bottle. The tool included with this opener makes it very easy to do. The unit does an excellent job of removing the cork. No more brute force to pull out the cork; just depress a button. Also no more broken corks and debris in the wine. The unit is very attractive and doesn't take up much space. The stoppers that allow the unit to take the air out of an open wine bottle is slick! The base holds the foil cutter, 2 vacuum bottle toppers, and the main cork remover/vacuum. My son loved it so much, I ordered him one.

This is a great wine opener. I have issues with my wrist so turning your typical opener is painful. This opener does all the work for me. You just place it on the wine bottle press the button and out comes the cork. Press the button again and it ejects the cork. I had a friend who used a hand opener and the cork got stuck and shredded in the bottle. This opener got the cork out! Even I was surprised.

This is a very good opener (and better preserver), but there are a couple of things that you should know about. Let the opener do the work for you. Don't try to force it, as doing so will cause the corkscrew to go all the way through the cork (an obvious no-no). The preserver side is great. I opened a bottle of Stag's Leap Cab, and didn't finish it. I used the provided stoppers and the preserver side and refrigerated the bottle (yes, this is correct after opening even for reds). I went back to finish the bottle after a week, and once I let the temperature moderate, I could not notice a difference. It obviously isn't perfect, but removing the air does dramatically slow the breaking down process.

I've only used it a few times and hopefully it'll continue to work as well as it has so far. It's fun to open a bottle of wine with this unit. All you do is remove the foil with the tool included with the opener, place the opener on the cork, and push and hold a button. It smoothly inserts the corkscrew into the cork and pulls it. A push of the other button removes the corkscrew from the cork and it drops from the opener. So much easier than any manual wine opener....no effort. And everyone who has seen it in use is wowed by it.

This rechargeable wine opener is Amazing. One would think it's all plastic. It's heavy. One could open their wine and fend off an intruder with it also...LOL...If I saw this in person at a store and it had a 79.95 price tag on it, I would not hesitate to buy it but we got it on sale for around 15.95. I bought it online during Best Buys Deal of The Day promotion. What a DEAL...This would be a perfect gift for new homeowners or a wedding gift. Uncorks a bottle quickly then push the button downward and it unscrews the cork right into your hand.

I purchased this for my girlfriend. She's more the wine lover, but we love to share a bottle now and then. I was surprised at how easy this device worked. It takes the fuss out of screwing in a corkscrew and especially makes it easier to dislodge the cork. No more manual screwing - this will pull the cork out of the bottle, and pull the cork off the device, automatically! It's a beautiful thing.

The Item works great and I love that it includes the vacuum sealer. It doesn't take up too much room on my counter and i think it looks sleek and well designed so it's not an eye sore. We always have people asking us about it when we have people over, and those same people usually bring some wine with them so we get show them how it works.

Pleasantly surprised with this handy rechargeable wine opener set. I have a fancy manual wine opener but thought of getting a rechargeable one and oh wow, I'm glad I bought this! So easy to use and never had a problem using this. You've got your wine open in a few seconds. Our friends bought too when they saw how convenient and easy it is to use. I highly recommend this product.

Having several wine openers from various manufacturer's none can compare to this Modal opener. It is sleek, not cheap handling and has some weight behind it. Is intuitive when extracting the cork from its bottle and reversing direction in order to extract the cork from the unit. I have purchased several for other wine enthusiasts and each one agree's this is superior to all others on the market .

I ordered two. One for a gift and the other for myself. Have used it only a few times and it works as I expected it would. Love the ease of use. The old screw opener that I have used in the past is now in the past. I would recommend this to anyone with dexterity or strength issues. The gift was received warmly and much appreciated. Hope it will last a good long time. Wish I had ordered more for gifts later in the year. The cutter and corks are a nice bonus.

What can I say -- it does what it's supposed to. The Foil cutter is nice, the plugs and vacuum feature works. And it removes the cork effortlessly. The only thing to be careful of is as soon as the cork is close to coming out or near it -- make sure to stop. If you go too far it can get stuck up in the barrel. Also, it would be nice if the corks and foil cutter 'storage' spots on the back of the stand allowed them to CLICK in and hold. They fall off easily.

We don't drink a lot of wine but do quite often when we have company. I bought 3 of these (2 were gifts for our kids) when they were on sale on the Deal of the Day email and could not be happier. It worked like a charm on the first attempt and even though we killed the bottle of wine we tried the vacuum sealer halfway through and it seemed to work. It also comes with a foil cutter that fits nicely with the vacuum seal stoppers.

This was a gift for my daughter. We got one two years ago on deal of the day and absolutely loved it. When I saw this go on deal of the day again I scooped it up. Hang on to your stoppers they work great but we'll get lost. Good news though you can order replacement very cheaply on Amazon.
