    Battery life is the worse

I got this when it first came out. Review said it will last all day under normal use. Worse thing on a smart watch, battery life. I had it for a month and the battery drained every single day from 7 am and dies around 1pm. I barely used the darn thing. Until they fix batteries on all smart watches, I stay with Fitbit Charge 2 which still last me almost 5 days.

This watch was worth the wait. I have it paired with an HTC one max. At the end of my day, both devices were at 48% remaining. I haven't tweaked any settings on the watch. I have two email accounts, an active tapatalk account, hangouts, texts, etc all coming to this thing. Grey strap looks nice too.

There needs to be diversity in development. The watch face is definitely made for a man's wrist. Women wear watches, too! I knew it would be too big, but I wanted to play with the technology (rather than wait until it dawns on the hardware developers that there are women interested in tech and willing to spend money). My son will get this once I am finished playing with it. It can only be paired to one device, which is a bummer. I wanted to be able to pair it with my Nexus 5 and my Nexus 7. I found a post with instructions on how to get the watch to be able to switch between devices, but I haven't tried it yet. Setting it up with my Nexus 5 was incredibly easy. It just worked. Charging it is simple, and I haven't noticed a problem with the battery (but I haven't had it that long). The heart rate monitor has worked just fine. It tracks my steps more accurately than my fitbit does (I knew that my fitbit was overestimating my steps). It is nice to be able to control my phone with the watch. And the e-mail notifications are really convenient. The screen is nice, though the blacked out section on the bottom part of the watch is a little distracting. But again, I knew that it was there when I ordered it. So there were no surprises. Overall, I am happy with the functionality of the product. I just wish it were smaller. But that doesn't affect the number of stars I am giving to the product…I knew what it was when I ordered it. And it is a really neat gadget. For people who want a more refined product, you might want to wait until the next iteration. I am glad that I purchased it, and will be sad when I pass it along to my son. But he will only get it when I find something better!

Solid option for a smart watch

I purchased the Gray moto 360 the first day of release (i.e. - within the first 15 minutes and before it sold out.) I have been very pleased with the watch so far. I do not have a defective one - poor battery life, stuck pixels, etc. Mine functions as described. The battery life has been adequate for a full day use for me (7am to 11pm) almost without exception. Of course, if I navigate with it for several hours and interact with it most of the day, it would probably be only 11 hours or so. My typical usage includes vibrating notification, visual notifications, updated temperatures through 1weather, and a few google voice responses or searches throughout the day. Compared to the other android watches out there, this is the only one that I feel comfortable wearing with clients. It's a very attractive and surprisingly light and comfortable watch. The facer app allows me to apply several luxury watch faces, like Panerai Luminor, Rolex, etc. Though it isn't perfect, I'm highly satisfied and will enjoy this until the next generation of smart watch is ready. For today, there is no better option for me.

In my opinion, this is the best smartwatch available in today's market! I have read many reviews and have taken them into consideration.. So here's my review based on a 5 day run with it... Out of the box is a well-built high quality smartwatch that looks and feels like any regular time piece out there. First thing you'll notice is the beautiful circular design with a great leather band that's lighter than one would think. I fought the temptation and allowed it to charge fully before playing with it. After charging I immediately downloaded Moto Connect and Andriod Wear app onto my HTC M8... the apps doesn't do much but is needed for basic functions. Day 1. Ambient ON = 9 hours 30 minutes. Day 2. Ambient ON = 11 hours. Day 3. Ambient ON = 12 hours 30 minutes. Day 4. Ambient ON = 5 hours @ 51%, updated firmware, Ambient OFF = 3 hours @ 81% Day 5. Ambient OFF = 16 hours. I leave my place at 5:30am and usually get home around 8:30pm... So I am nowhere near the charging dock... With moderate incoming emails (30ish a day), somewhat heavy texting, listening to music roughly about 5 hours a day, the Moto 360 beautifully displays all with great ease... I don't need to pull out my phone because Google Now is voice activated via the 360! I can only wait to see it slowly transform as it gets updated and age into what could be the best smartwatch! Worth it if you can find it. lol. Thanks. XOXO.

    Fantastic Watch

I absolutely love this watch, I have never spent a day without it! On the latest update the watch will last 16-18 hours a day with medium/heavy usage. If you use an always on app like Google Maps navigation it obviously will use more battery but that's a rarity for me. Normal texting, fitness tracking, and checking the weather throughout the day and I never have any issues, it's a great watch and to think it was released before the extremely overpriced apple watch was even announced!!!

I almost returned it after a few hours. Getting familiar with Android Wear was a problem. Different apps handle things differently. Some load most of the app on the phone, other just connect automatically. You should probably download an app to create a menu for your downloaded apps since getting to it through Wear is tedious. Battery life is fine (I don't use ambient mode)....it is actually better than the battery life on my phone, but it does require charging nightly. Do yourself a favor and buy an auxiliary charger for office or in case you lose the original. It will take a little adjustment to get used to but after a few hours you should have the hang of it. The hardest issue was making sure it was connected to the phone. Be sure to download the Android Wear app and click on the watch icon at the top. It will tell you whether it is connected to the phone. If it isn't, tap the watch icon and it should connect.

I have owned the moto Active, the Gear 2, and a slew of fitness bands. So far this watch is the best by far, and battery life is better than expected, I can charge it over night, and wear it all day with some battery life left when I go to bed at 11:30, so I don't know why some people are bashing the battery life?? Maybe because they don't even have the watch, and want to bash it for some reason, I don't know? I like having an all in one device that looks amazing, and not to mention like a high class time piece. I would not hesitate to pick up another one in a heartbeat!

I had a Pebble before this, but ever since I bought my 360 in early December, I have worn it every day since. It usually has around 30% battery after using it all day (That's after about 18 hours of usage). I love how I can just download watch faces and change them on the fly so that any single face never gets old! Talking to reply to notification is a useful upgrade from the pebble. After getting used to it, I have also appreciated Android Wear's simple gesture-based interface. I would recommend a screen protector (The steel is very tough, but the screen scratches like any phone screen). The plastic back seems to be the weakest point because it can scratch more easily, but that side is usually on your wrist anyways, and mine only has a couple of small scratches after all of my use. All around great watch, and definitely the best smart watch that has been released so far.

VERY nice smart watch. Best on the market in my opinion. Beautiful in looks, fit, and finish, BUT it still has some flaws; 1.) Battery Life - About 10 hours with mild use results in 15% battery life . No Buenos 2.) Sometime the UI is respond to events such as lift my arm to wake the device, especially if I have on a a long sleeved shirt of coat, but tapping the screen will also wake it in the events where it doesn't register the movement of your body. 3.) Voice recognition is considerably worse than it is on my phone which is a major drawback considering its the only way to fully interact with incoming messages 4.) In order for the heart rate monitor to work, u must wear the watch rally tight to you wrist which kinda sucks given its size. When its tight and doesn't move around sometimes it impedes the movement of your and and wrist and you will inadvertently power the watch down by depressing the crown for a few seconds Other than that its a nice watch that happens to be smart. ALSO this and all smart watches should fall into TOY category . Its defiantly not a must have as it adds no functionality you cant currently do with one

    Fantastic Watch

I've had the watch roughly a week now and I love it. I don't have any issues with functionality, Android Wear is fantastic! Easy to use. and actually provides useful information. I know it's Android but it's traffic alerts are more accurate than the ones in my vehicle's navigation system. The watch is simple and beautiful in my opinion, I have the black version and I've swapped out the band which for a matching Pebble Steel wrist band. As for the sensor bar at the bottom of the face, I don't even notice it anymore. Complete non-issue. I know a lot of folks have had issues with the battery life but it's to be expected. When I leave home about 9 AM and get home roughly at 9 PM and continue to wear the watch until I got to bed, and I usually have about 50% of the battery life left. So unless you have the watch face on continuously it shouldn't be an issue. And charging couldn't be easier, just put in on the charger and your set, no need to plug anything in. I can't wait to see what they develop for Android Wear and this watch!

This watch has been a fun little device that will one day change the world. However as we use this first generation hardware I can say that this device is not perfect. It can be better and will be better as the second generation moto 360 is on its way. A lot of the smartwatches success also rely on andorid wear and that google supports it enough to make it better and less glitchy. As a reviewer this watch is lighter than expected and the leather strap feels premium on the wrist. The battery life is great unless you are constantly looking at your watch and keeping the screen lit. The sutomizable watch faces is what really makes this device fun and I am always making new designs to keep me interested. The only competitor for the moto 360 is the apple watch it costs double what this moto 360 does and it doesnt even work for andorid. I love this device and can't wait for newer hardware to come out of motorola.

    Almost Useful

Let's get a couple of things out of the way. I'm an Android geek from day 1, above average knowledge of computers and electronics, and usually -- but not always -- an early adopter. I am full-in on Google Now for a long time. I use a Nexus 5 phone. So, this watch is beautiful. I show it to 65-year olds who have Trac phones and they say "Wow!" The comments about battery life are nonsense; the first full day it ran out in eight hours because I was touching it like crazy. The first full work day, which included 20 minutes of working out with the screen on from an app the whole time and regular texting and notification checks during the day, I came home after about 16 hours of wearing it and it had 15%. And, the stutter and lag comments are true for those who are examining the phone and looking for stutter and lag. Yeah, I noticed it the first day when I was playing with it, but not once in the flow of a regular day. All of that said, it is not particularly useful. It is essentially, right now, a remote control for your phone. Android Wear is nearly beta. There are a few good apps that made certain activities more efficient and the fitness stuff is decent and accurate. Strangely, there's no natural sync with Google calendar, Keep is not much, and Maps drains the watch battery (and why would I need my watch to buzz and fire up a navigation notification when the phone it is tethered to has loudly and clearly told me what to do?) If a $250 purchase isn't a big deal to you, I'd say go for it. I had some extra money come in, so I didn't mind the cost. I like wearing it -- and I didn't own a watch previously or really ever. But know that you are a beta tester essentially. I strongly believe that once Android Wear is improved and app makers figure out how to extend the app experience on wearables and not just duplicate it in miniature, this particular device will really rock. Hopefully that is in the next three months, but more likely after the Apple watch market penetration inspires app makers to get to work. If you're on the fence, know that the next gen will be a killer -- especially if it priced at the more appropriate $179 or so -- and that may be the one to wait for.

I 90% Loved the Watch (but I returned it)

    Posted .

I purchased my watch a week ago. Battery life was excellent (if you had the screen set to turn off when not looking at it). My biggest issue was a dead pixel between the 4-5 hour mark. I also felt like after the last update it was no longer as sensitive to turning on when I lifted my wrist up. Although you can also touch the screen to turn it back on sometimes touching the screen is inconvenient. It also had some serious issues when working as a music controller and moving between songs. It would usually take several minutes to start working and when it finally did work it would execute every press I made (so if, while trying to get it to change songs, I had pressed pause or the change track icon several times it would pause and start and move forward six tracks etc.) which wasn't all the helpful given that by the time it started working the song I didn't like was already over. Each issue on its own was not too big a deal (though the dead pixel was hard to un-see) but put together I just felt like for 250 it should have been better. Plus with a dead pixel after a week how many more would I have after a month? If you google dead pixel issues on the 360 you'll see that several watches seem to have that issue. I will admit that I do miss having all that functionality on my wrist. I will definitely buy another one - but I think I will wait for the second generation and hope for a better chip inside and better quality control on the screens.

OK, so I have seen a lot of reviews on this watch claiming that the battery life is terrible. From my experience this is true/false depending on who you are. The watch should not be set to always on for the screen. I think it looks amazing with the screen off set to turn on when raised to your eye level. The watch simply put is AWESOME. I love this watch so much and have all the intentions of keeping it. The wireless charging is great and also fast! I was able to charge the watch at a rate of about 1% per minute. I took it off the charger the first night at 10 PM and it died the next night at 7 PM and that was with A LOT of playing with it and notifications coming in about 5-8 per hour sometimes more. The vibration was always on for notifications and the watch screen was set to automatic brightness. So yeah, the watch could have a better battery but ya know what? This is one of those situations where the watch's looks and functionality WAYYY outweigh the battery issue some people are complaining about. If you are on the fence about this watch and can get your hands on one, just try it out. Everyone has different preferences and experiences but don't let the negativity put you off about the Moto 360. This watch is sick!

I have had my watch for 2 weeks now. BATTERY LIFE: I have my Moto 360's Ambient Screen turned off. Brightness: AUTO Oct 1st @ 7:30AM- removed from charger as I start my day: 100% Battery Life. Oct 2nd @ 1:33AM- my day ended: 40% Battery Life. That is 18 hrs and I'm at 40%! The battery has greatly improved after the latest update. Software: 4.4W.1/ Build No. KGW42R Now I can read/reply to my messages and preview of my emails without having to pull out my phone when I'm at work or anywhere for that matter. To me, this is a watch and I'm not going to be on my watch every second. I only send messages from my watch if it is something quick and glance at any notifications; otherwise, I would use my phone to reply. I guess some people have the idea that a smartwatch would replace their phones, and that they should be on their watch every second. LOL DESIGN: Love the design on this watch. Very professional look and it is not as big as it looks. Overall, I really like the watch. I like that I now can see all my notifications from Facebook, sms, calls, etc on my wrist. No more guessing game. :)
