The watch is great, Would recommend to anyone. The watch has great battery, Idk what all these people are talking about, I used it alot the first day and yea it lasted around 16 hours, Used it like a watch the second day, getting notifications and checking incoming info, and at the end of the night, it had over 41% charge when I placed it on the charger. If you use it alot your first few days, cause you're playing around with it, of-course it wont last more then 20 hours. If you use it like you use your current watch it will last 4 days, moderate use, a day and a half. Just saying. Good luck on finding one to buy guys!

I have had the watch for a week now and like it more every day. It looks and feels amazing. lighter than I imagined and easy to navigate. AS Andrtoid wear takes off the apps and watch faces will grow, but I already like it more than my Pebble and Sony SM2. I did buy a Pebble Steele Stainless Steel band and put it on an now I love the look. The Qi charger is awesome addtion and it works with 2 other manufacturer QI chargers I own. Battery last more tan a day of use for me. but I haven't done a real battery test. I have chargers at home and work so the idea of going days seems to me a moot point.

    Love it! Better than expected

First - battery life. It's fine. The first day I was using the watch, learning about all the apps and capabilities. The battery was ready to charge by the time I went to bed. Every day after that, I used the watch in a more normal manner. I use it to text every now and then, check my heart rate, and have notifications turned on. I've consistently had around 30-40% charge remaining when I went to bed. I love the charging cradle. When you cradle the watch, it goes into this display that serves as an alarm clock and stays lit. This is way cool! I got rid of my big bulky alarm clock and now use only the 360. It's just the right brightness in the cradle - not too bright that it's distracting at night. No problem connecting to my Moto X. Phone and watch stay connected at decent distances. When you do walk too far from your phone, the watch automatically connects back when you get into range. When you mute the ringer on your phone, the watch will vibrate when you get a call. Another way cool feature. Sometimes I turn my ringer off when I'm in a meeting then forget to turn it back on. I used to miss calls, now I don't. Nice! Now, Best Buy's website for weeks has been saying "unavailable in your area" when I try to see if it's in a local store. I was in Best Buy last week looking at a monitor, and just on a whim went to look at smart watches. Lo and behold, they had TWO Stone Leather watches in stock, even though the website didn't indicate this. I recommend calling or checking in your local store - they may have one. I wanted the black band, but they only had stone. But, I LOVE THIS COLOR! It looks very sharp with the aluminum frame. When my leather band wears out or is looking dirty, I'll eventually get a metal band. But, I'm pleasantly surprised how good the stone leather band looks. I had a huge panic attack - I was stupid and clumsy and dropped my watch from above waist height on our porcelain tile floor, and it make a huge 'whack' sound. I thought for sure the face was cracked. It landed on the watch, not the bands. But, no damage, no adverse effects. Whew! So, it's pretty durable. The watch is pretty thick - sort of like my Ir0nm@n watch. So every now and then I bump it on something. I plan to get one of those military grade screen protectors and see how that works. Overall, VERY HAPPY. The round face makes this watch THE watch to get over anything else out there. It looks very stylish and fits right in with a suit and tie.

I picked up my Moto 360 on Saturday and feel like I have spent enough time with it to give a honest review. Generally, I really like it. It is comfortable, works as advertised, and enhances my phone experience. The important thing to remember is that it is a watch, that has smart capabilities. I have it paired with my Samsung Galaxy S5 and have not experienced any issues with connectivity or notifications. Battery life: Managing the screen brightness is the key here. The standard settings within the watch allow for 5 brightness levels (+0) but I have found that the Wear Mini Launcher app lets me dial back the brightness even more using an Android-like brightness slider. The lowest setting is still plenty bright for my daily grind. I have found through using this method that after 12 hours I have 65-70% battery remaining which is more than manageable. I will use exercise for the context of practical use. My biggest disappointment is the lack of fitness app support. I had to stop using MapMyRun because it still does not have an Android Wear app. RunKeeper's app is not perfect though, since it does not allow you to select a pre-saved route from the Android Wear interface, only allowing you to start or stop an activity. While running I can see my run stats on the screen, and I use my Jaybird Freedom bluetooth headphones with no issues. I can control music from the watch pre, and post workout as long as I start Play Music before I place the phone in my armband. You cannot open Play Music from Android Wear. For during workout music control I use the buttons on the headphones so this is not a problem. The biggest complaint is the microphone and "Okay Google" integration. It is tricky and you have to say your command at the right time... I am completely happy with my purchase and it has met my expectations as a watch first, smart device second. I am looking forward to seeing how this platform develops...

    Holy Smoke!

I bought the Gear Live first and thought that the Android Wear experience would be the same. Then I read that the Moto 360 has an older CPU than Gear Live, and that maybe things would be more zippy on the Gear Live. Regardless, the Moto 360 looked better online so I decided to order it in addition to the Gear Live. Let me tell you this thus far: 1) Holy Moly! Not only is it infinitely more beautiful in real life compared to Gear Live, it is just beautiful on its own. I already got one compliment from a non-techie woman on the elevator. 2) The stone-color band is a new model. I received mine with the latest OS 4.4W.1 Build KGW42N, which fixes many of the issues others had when ordering the original colors. The hardware is the same, so if you receive an older firmware you MUST let it charge completely and it will update. The update will fix the way the screen operates so battery will be better. 3) I was wrong about the CPU and possibility of being slower than Gear Live. I don't know if it is something Samsung did or what Moto knows, but the Moto 360 is immediate and responsive to my commands to open apps. Gear Live stutters and makes the experience useless. Now I hear that Moto will soon release a new update with the same version, but higher build #. This could further improve battery and performance. 4) The heart rate sensor hasn't failed me once. The Gear Live is hit or miss (mostly miss). 5) I read somewhere that you should let it go through several 0-100% charge/discharge cycles. Over about a week, the battery will improve dramatically. 6) I love the watchfaces that Moto has included, and can be customized from your phone. In fact, the app reports battery level of the watch so you know even when it is charging in its dock, but not in front of it to see status. 7) I am proud of Moto for a knockout 1st gen device that actually works, is beautiful, and was released before the fugly-square Apple Watch. Thanks! Now let's see what you can do in version 2!

Not only am I getting 12 hours of battery I'm also noticing that I'm reducing cell phone battery. I love this watch. FYI the simple fact that apple's watch is square is enough for me to keep this 360. I've been on the train and bus and people are amazed when I talk into my watch.

Some of the review I read was awful, AND IT WAS BEFORE THIS CAME OUT! But Seriously they were ALL wrong. They said battery last only three hours. I used it all day and at 9PM it was still at 48% and I was showing it off all day long. The watch runs smooth and no glitches. It looks and feels like a watch. Once again...GREAT JOB Motorola!!

The Moto 360 is hands down the best Smartwatch to date. The build quality is superb from the Leather band to the steel case this thing looks amazing. Not one person I've shown it to has not complimented me on its aesthetics. I hear complaints about the battery but even on my first day playing with it non stop it lasted about 12 hrs. Yesterday I took it off the charger at 12pm went to work at 7pm and at 5am I took it off to charge it at 5%. My use during this time was average to low bc I was busy working but still received notifications and gave demos etc. I'm thoroughly satisfied and am happy with this purchase.

    Function and fashion in one

I have an original Galaxy Gear, Galaxy Gear S and a Asus Zenwatch. My Moto 360 is by far my favorite. It is honestly the most comfortable of the bunch. The voice recognition is seamless, but the touch interaction does take a little getting use to. The only other real negatives? It drains the heck out of your phones battery and if you use it a lot, chances are it won't make it past 10-12 hours. However, if you keep an extra charger handy (I keep one on my desk at the office) it shouldn't be a problem since it charges lightening fast. One last thing to mention. While all of the promo picture show it as a "bedside" clock when it sits on its charger, I wouldn't plan on using it as a travel alarm. It doesn't have a speaker so no audible alarm and its vibration is the equivalent of an annoying mosquito. Besides a few minor things its a great device.

Battery Life is Good on Mine

Mine did a software update out of the box, so I never experienced the battery issue anyone is talking about. I've yet to run this watch out of battery in one day, and have done international flights with it where I've gone well over a day without charge and had plenty of power left. I use it with a Nexus 5 if that makes any difference. I have at least one person stop me everyday to ask about it, so I do fair amount of demoing, and use it regularly, so I'm not babying the batter.

Quality and style, met my high expectations

I eagerly awaited the launch of this stylish device, and was patient with the limited stock release. On the first day, I was impressed with the simple set up, and the basic functions. On the second day, I was saving the battery on my phone, using turn by turn navigation alerts on the watch and not my phone screen. Throughout the past week, my emails and texts have been subtly alerting me in meetings, and it has done exactly what it's advertised to do. Well done Motorola. You delivered a quality product, that gets subtle enquiries from my colleagues, which means it still looks like a normal watch and is not a gaudy techno show piece. It's stylish form and function is not overshadowed by apples promises for their watch. Going round is key and focussing on alerts only, rather than how to input on the device was very smart. Battery life is ok. At first I ended days with 25% left and now this has increased to 35%. The device also works very well with Runtastic, for jogging and bike rides. For me, to make the product better, I need transparent notification bars with white text against my chosen black watch face. The white notification banner breaks the subtle styling. I would also prefer a native way of dimming the charging screen at night, not having to use a 3rd party app. Hope the moto360 team reads this.....

    A Great First Gen Device

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Ok, lets get this out of the way now. Its a first generation device and there will be issues. I'll use the iPhone as the shinning example. There was plenty of things that were not great about that device but the possibilities were overwhelming. This is a companion device! Yes you can see the time and take your heart rate but its really designed to show you your notifications and allows you to interact using voice commands with your phone. The Good: All of that out of the way, I'm really digging the notifications and the ability to reply via voice to text messages. I'm also addicted to Facer (Facer Android)..... There are hundreds of watch faces and you can tweak them to your liking. Its like having a new watch every day. The things looks good on the wrist and isn't that big.... I have medium hands and wrists and this thing fits fine. The outer bezel is the same size as my Pulsar once you take into account the strap handles. So it feels exactly the same size on the wrist (It fit fine on my wife's wrist as well). Being able to make up for some of the short coming by installing apps is pretty nice as well. I use Lockable to keep me from accidentally bumping into google now voice commands. Notifications on the wrist are turning out to be more subtle and less intrusive than grabbing for my phone! The Bad: Battery life isn't there yet... I can squeeze an entire day out of the device on my normal schedule but during my 20 hour traveling days I will have to reach for a charger. Time will tell but right now Im not betting on it. The lack of a more portable charger is a little annoying as well. I know I can get a small Qi charger but I dont know if Moto will support that. Software is a great first step but it needs refinements. No lock screen? Given this type of device is the most apt to getting bumped I was a little surprised there was no option for some sort of at a glance but locked screen..... Since once its open it can jump directly into voice commands. It was a bit annoying at the gym, every time it did that it silenced my music. It could not reconnect once and I had to boot, boot and more boot to get it working. I haven't had that problem since though. Fitness apps and whatnot a bit of a joke right now... Its counting steps as I sit in my chair (I didn't expect it to be great). Overall: Its a fun device that adds style to an ecosystem that has been getting old and stale. I believe these devices will help that person who wants to see their notifications but doesn't want to pull out their phone or hold it to their nose all day.

Great android smart watch for the price

I really like the appearance of the watch. I prefer the round face compared to the square ones. The moto 360 is very comfortable to wear and its not heavy on the wrist, although it is a little thick on my wrist. The battery life on the watch originally wasn't good. I had to calibrate the battery so that it works a lot better and of course to update the firmware. It can easily last a day for me since I only have selective notifications coming through on my watch and other settings that I prefer. I like getting the notifications on my watch instead of always pulling out my phone and checking them (I have a Nexus 6 so its not that convenient taking it out all the time).

    Above Expectations

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have reserved my opinion until I had this for a week and I can say my initial excitement hasn't really worn off. I suppose I had lower expectations because of the battery life comments, but I get up at 6am go to work and put it on the charger around 11pm and have 40% of my battery left. Consistently. Sure I would love to not charge the battery more than once a week, but it gets me through my day using it for notifications, time checks and voice reply. It isn't a drain on my phone either. I've found it to actually conserve my phone battery (s5 Galaxy) because I'm not using the display as much. The negatives include the large face. I put it on my wife and it screams, "Hey tiny wrist. I look enormous on you." Also, I have noticed the heart rate monitor is inconsistent or I have HUGE fluctuations when walking within seconds of readings. When I'm sitting or standing still the reading seems much more reliable. In my opinion this is a huge step for Android Wear. I haven't been interested in any previous smart watches and had a difficult time justifying why I would need one. The 360 look got me over that wall and now that I've had it I'm not sure I would want to go without again.

I love this watch....i know this review is early but i received this about a week ago from Motorola...very nice looking watch...does everything you want it to do BUT i don't like the battery life it last just about the same as any other phone out there (less than a full day)...my phone seems to out last it only because it gets the random middle of the day charge....when i cant do the same with the watch because i refuse to carry the wireless charging dock around with me (which is awesome) i work in retail and to give everyone an example...leaving the house at 8am at 100% at about noon its at 75% with normal usage of swiping away random livingsocial and groupon email notifications and such at around 3pm its dropped to an average of about 45% due to answering text messages and relying more on the watch for everything because phone is more likely charging or not near at about 7pm its other 10% or less (but im on my way home anyway) only thing that sucks about that is if i ever had plans for dinner or anything after work i know this watch couldn't make it but when this watch is on its on....looks great..no issues..just hate the battery..its taken a few hits as well...the gorilla glass seems to be okay just wish it was sapphire glass only because it a higher quality..i would grab this watch if your in the market...

    Perfect "Watch" For We Geeks.

I've been playing with my new Moto 360 non-stop for a day now. I'm not finding TOO much I don't like about it so far. Like many of the reviews, the battery does drain fairly quickly, but I think that once you get past the "wow factor" and stop playing with it constantly, your battery drainage will be better. I love this thing. I'm not all that disappointed with the battery life yet either. I've had it on for 8 hours so far today and I'm only down to 53% battery. That's manageable in my book. I wish the band was designed a bit differently so that it wouldn't -appear- to be thicker than it really is, but I'm sure Motorola had their reasons. My BIGGEST gripe it this: I am not at all impressed with the "OK Google" voice functionality. Oddly, I haven't seen anyone else complain about this, so perhaps it's just operator error. OFTEN (not ALL the time though) when I either say "OK Google" or tap the screen, the watch gives me a VERY small fraction of a second to start talking before the "hint screen" comes up. I do not WANT the hint screen to come up. When it DOES, you have to manually touch the watch to dismiss it. You cannot say "back" or "exit" to get back to the clock face or back to voice entry. Motorola, since I can see that you've been reading these posts, I'd really like to see the option of turning off automatic "hints" during voice command. (Thanks for listening!) Aside from that, this really is an impressive watch. It's obviously not perfect but, for a first-generation product, it is pretty solid.

out of the smart watches.. this is the best one

I found my search for the perfect smartwatch for my needs to be exhausting because there's up and downs for everything. i found the moto to be a great smart watch because it has a sleek design, customizable wristbands and the android wear OS is a highly supported interface that works with more android software than I even thought it would. Once you start using this device you realize that you look at your phone less and unless you have a complex conversation you will use this watch. It is a great music player as a standalone, as well as controlling your phone from afar (saves battery this way). battery life has improved with the newest rolled out lollipop update, and the battery lasts me for a solid 15 hours with normal use.. meaning i respond to texts.. get alerts all day with the vibration on. Obviously the down side to this watch is the lack of built in speakerphone, so you can't take phone calls directly on it. However, you can dial and answer your phone remotely, so if you place ur phone on a cradle near you but you don't want to reach over.. you can make it much easier this way. Other down side is that the voice function isn't perfect.. but is very good.. and you only have a couple seconds to catch a typo in your email or text replies before it gets sent.. which could make some EMBARRASSING ones go through at times. I like the find my car app, and the turn by turn directions on my wrist.. makes driving and navigating without carrying my big phone in my hand. the vibration alert is hard to miss so you never have to worry about missing out on phone calls, emails, texts, and other alerts on your phone. I love this device and wouldn't go back now that I've bought into the smart watches.

After seeing smart watches on the wrists of many people over the past year or so I started looking into them. It peaked my interest. But the tacky square design and heavy, clonky watches just wasn't doing it for me. Until I one at the Sprint store I saw the salesguy with this lil baby on... This watch is sleek, lightweight, ROUND and shockingly looks like a freaking watch!! FINALLY. I was sold. Did a lil reasearch and price checking. And ran off to best buy to get it. After having it for 3 weeks I have received countless compliments on my nice watch. Then when I move and it lights up people are amazed to see that it is indeed a smart watch. I love this watch and it has satisfied my watch fetish and tech needs. It is super cool to know how many steps a day I do, be able to respond to a text in less than 10 sec without touching my phone (very nice since I do a lot of driving), and just that I can customize it to my liking. Very happy with my purchase ;)

Android wear is a useful concep and 360 is pretty

I already like the smart watch concept, and 360 in general, with the way android wear is envisioning it seems very promising. I already really like my Moto 360. If I lose it I will be buying another one instead of upgrading m phone. That's how much I like the android wear concept. The battery life is good enough for android wear concept, however 30-40% more juice would have been better, because with the current Moto 360 battery life you will get into trouble for the days you will be using the watch heavier, for instance for its navigation capability. Android wear should improve too. At the moment there is no useful third party apps, except the Lyft app and the mini launcher. Hope android would get its own stock launcher in its upcoming releases. Also I wish the heart rate monitor app would have had better use for its data. Not sure how accurate and constant moto 360 gathers your heart rate data either. If it actually does gather the heart rate data, it would make sense for google fit app to also tell you how much calories you've burnt as a function of your heart rate and steps taken, that's how the upcoming Apple watch is going to do that. It would also make sense to add a battery saver mode on the watch, which would stop the heart monitoring and notifications pop ups when your battery is low, so your watch can get a couple of more hours of juice to show you the time.
