Terrific watch... don't believe the nonsayers

Even though the voice interface might not be top notch, the overall functionality is terrific. Now I don't have to pull off my phone every time i hear it ring for an incoming message or mail. I can just discard them easily with my watch. And i can tell time more faster than taking my phone out of my pocket and clicking the power button... for me that's a lot of convenience. The battery for me so far is great. Even with all this alerts coming up, my day started at 6 am, is already 5 pm and i still have 58% of juice. I dunno why the reviewers are being really hard on the guy, but, i can attest you that for normal use, it should suffice or even exceed your expectations. I am now just waiting for android wear to keep improving and keep enhancing my experience with the watch. And also waiting on those metal wristbands... that will enhance the look of the watch even further.

    Stunning Looks, Great Build Quality.

An amazing watch that is stunning in design, visually pleasing to look at with a great display, makes me want to look at the time again and again even when I didn't have to. After years of using a smartphone as a primary watch I carry, this little gem retires my phone off of the duty and deserves a spot in my wrist any day. Many has criticized this watch for it's battery life. In my experience, it has been lasting a whole day, at least the 16 hours during the day that I am awake to play with it. The rest of the 8 hours, I am glad to use this watch in my night stand as a bed time watch where it charges on it's practical, yet functional wireless charger. Kudos to Motorola on that. Many of us geeks have concerns about the older TI processor within. However I can assure you that it does not matter as long as the watch functions its day to day tasks as intended in a fast and fluid motion. I have not encountered any hiccups thus far. Moreover, the Snapdragon 400 powered watches haven't proved to have much better battery life in contrast either. Thus, it is my opinion that one should not base their purchase of this watch on that perspective alone. Leather strap has been comfortable in my above medium sized hand, and it does not weigh a ton in my hand either. If you adore a beautiful time piece in your wrist, that can display time and do much more, this is the smart-watch that you have been waiting for.

    Beautiful Watch

It is definitely the best smart watch on market at this moment. Beautiful design and solid quality. Function is kind of limited right now, but I believe Android Wear will keep evolving and become smarter and better in the near future. I am expecting some software update and bring more stuffs to play with. It is quite a fun to wearing it and I believe you would like it on your wrist. If only the battery could last longer, it will be perfect! For anyone who worries about the battery, it is absolutely not that bad! I can use it for a whole day. Just remember to charge it at night or just shut it off when you sleep. That helps a lot.

just came across this watch on the holidays and thought my 21 year old son might like it. It looks good and has a lot of features that works with his fav android. Was not sure but all does is talk about his watch. How many steps, heart rate voice commands. He doesn't have to babysit his phone when he is around the house most importantly. Would give it a 5 star but Its not my watch. Mom did good? Yes!

The watch is great, Would recommend to anyone. The watch has great battery, Idk what all these people are talking about, I used it alot the first day and yea it lasted around 16 hours, Used it like a watch the second day, getting notifications and checking incoming info, and at the end of the night, it had over 41% charge when I placed it on the charger. If you use it alot your first few days, cause you're playing around with it, of-course it wont last more then 20 hours. If you use it like you use your current watch it will last 4 days, moderate use, a day and a half. Just saying. Good luck on finding one to buy guys!

Very cool looking watch. Can't wait to upgrade to the black metal band when it comes out. I was shocked how lightweight the watch is. It synced almost effortlessly with my Moto Droid Maxx. I went on a bike ride and it was pretty sweet to be able to answer calls, receive/respond to texts, check emails, and change songs from my watch while not having to stop and pull out my phone. I'm still getting the hang of the battery life as w/ my Maxx I can get 2 days pretty easily. The first full day I wore the watch I ended the day with about 25% left. Yesterday after downloading some custom watch faces my battery life was awful and I think that was the culprit.

    Best smartwatch!

This watch is great. It is beautiful to look at, I have not received as many comments on how nice my watch is as I have with the 360. These comments have mostly been from people that have no idea what the watch is just on the looks alone. The usefulness is great for me, I work in a job where I cannot use my phone or even look at it while working except on breaks, this is great for allowing me to see what is urgent and what is not. As I wear the watch everyday I see more and more uses for it. The watch has so much potential, and I believe that it looks much better and works much nicer than the yet to be released Apple watch. This is the best smart watch out there, better than the pebble by 10 fold and better than any of the other Wear based watches out there. The leather band is comfortable and looks good, the heart rate sensor is nice to have. I highly recommend this watch to anyone. It looks good on both men and women big and small, it is very much the same size as a full size traditional watch.

Bought my moto 360 threw motorola, but just had to place review here so someone that's thinking of getting one can see. I am very happy with it, and bought the pebble steel watchband for it at Best Buy fits greate! Battery is great with the new update. Note: tip & trick If you want to turn off the night clock that appears while charging your watch to prevent possible screen burn-in, do the following: Before placing the watch on the charger, go to the android wear app on your phone, click settings, and make sure the ambient screen mode is checked on, now place the watch on the charger and wait till the clock dims, once the clock dims uncheck the ambient screen setting and the watch face will turn off. Have fun with your new watch. The only reason I gave it four stars is because android wear is still new and I'm sure version 2.0 coming soon will give an even better user experience.

    Awesome Wearable!

Yes, the battery leaves something to be desired, but the watch overall is remarkable. I love LOVE the display on this thing. In the sunlight, or inside, I can always see the screen perfectly. The benefits of having Google Now on your wrist are awesome. I take my phone out half as much as I did before. I'm also now more aware of how many steps I've taken in a day, and try to match my goals. The voice recognition works perfectly. Overall it's a great product! Battery does last an entire day if that's what's keeping anyone from getting one right now.

Great and fun to use. Very easy to setup for anyone tech savvy. Download apps to go with the watch and you will really enjoy it. Replying to text or group convos are easily done even in nosey rooms! Could of course be better and it is not a necessary device; but the best accessory for your phone

I'm in and out of a car while at work, speaking to complainants and generally on the go. This watch sending the notifications to my wrist is extremely convenient for deciding when I need my phone out, or if I can reply later. Responding to texts with the voice function is surprisingly accurate.

This is an awesome watch and very easy to use. Some minor glitches, but the pluses are greater than the negatives. The heart monitor doesn't always work. The battery life is short, but it's an electronic device. The watch design is better then any other smartwatches.

    Good build quality, laggy software

The first thing you notice about the watch is its amazing quality. the watch feels great on your wrist, not like a large slab of rectangularness that has been slapped on there. The battery life could be better, and you do have to charge it every night. The only main downside to the watch is the android wear OS. Android wear os is VERY limited in its functionality right now. you can only use it with an android phone, and the apps that do exist also have limited functions. Also things like "ok google" and the "flick your wrist" to activate display don't always work and have quite a long delay. Overall great watch, just wish the OS was better.

Good looking watch, battery life is fine

The watch looks really good. The metal and leather feel very expensive. It is comfortable to wear all day since it feels very light. The battery life is fine despite what you have heard. I get light to medium number of notification a day and I use it from 7am to 10pm. At the end of the day I have 25-30% left of battery. Be aware of apps you install. I did install a watch face from google play that kill my battery in 6 hours one day. Battery life went back to normal as soon as I uninstalled it. I had a gear live before, and round face it so much nicer looking, the screen feels very spacious.

I have had the Moto 360 for one week and it what I was hoping for. It sounds like a minor thing, but being about to see a text message or who is calling without pulling your phone out is very nice. The battery life is good if you remember that it is not meant to be a replacement for your cell phone. I use it to check notifications and the time. Putting it on at 7 AM and taking it off at 9 PM I routinely have 60-70% left on the battery. I know people want the battery to last a week, but I have used watches that I had to wind everyday, so charging one everyday is not problem. It is a large watch, but no larger than the one it replaced. It works great and looks great.

its not a watch. is a wearable disguised as a one.

Calling a "Wearable Device", a watch, is a big mistake, for now. The big question is, was dressing a "wearable device" up like a watch, really a smart idea? Yes and no. They have taken the idea of a wearable and added a wrist band that looks like a watch. they've added a display similar to a watch. So they call it a watch! The consumer hears the word watch, sees the wearable as being a watch, so they are going to treat this invention as what its called, a watch. The problem is, during most of human history, watches have been able to last for months with out a battery being replaced. With these wearables today, the battery life, if your lucky, might last a day. That’s unacceptable. As a result, reports of bad battery life flood the reviews and tarnish an otherwise great idea. So, what can we do? Well, until these "wearables" have the battery life to be worthy of being called a "watch", you treat it like a wearable and not a watch. Power management here is the key. most people with cellphones stopped using watches anyways, so turn off your "wearable watch" when you know that you don’t mind reaching into your pocket to look at the time. other times to turn off your watch could be in situations such as, -car rides longer than 10 minutes. most cars have clocks and it’s the same to look at a watch as it is to look at a phone in a car. -sitting for a long time in front of a computer. -in public places where you know the time can be seen easily. -at home, or in front of the tv (with cable) The key here is to think wisely and be creative. if you are the type that needs a digital smartwatch to replace a "real watch" then these "wearable watch lookalikes" just aren't for you at this time. But if you are like me, and can remember to quickly turn off the device and on when you need it, then its possible to get at least a full real 24 hours out of the latest and greatest, or even longer. anyways, there are some really great watch faces, 3rd party apps.

Moto360 - good but needs improvement

I've had the watch about a month now. Pros: It makes a nice dress/indoor watch. The large face makes it easy to read text messages sent to you. Cons: Having to charge it daily is inconvenient at times. The battery goes down fairly quick the more functions that are invoked on it - although you can still get 9-10 hours out of it. It is hard to read the watch when outside - you pretty much have to shade the dial on a sunny day. It needs to have additional screens with the app. There isn't anyway to bring up weather/other functions other than speaking. I would like to see a right or bottom swipe from the face bring up a menu and at least one screen that pins the weather.

Acting as an activity tracker plus the functionality of a smart watch is great. I use Hangouts and can even view the picture messages on the watch. There is also an app that you can view youtube videos on the watch. The only thing that I do not really like is it doesnt have a speaker but other than that its freaking awesome!
