This is a great deal for an unlocked phone. Camera is good, display is good, and everything just works right. Can't beat the price to performance ratio so this is an amazing buy!

Motorola makes good phones for the money. This phone might not be top of the line but it has good solid functionality - sleek, a good camera, speaker, bright clear large screen, decent memory, etc. Negatives - the speaker phone takes a second or two to come on after selecting. Memory (ram) is just about ok - a little more would be good. I would recommend this phone.

Bought it because of price. My son breaks a phone about every year. He can't afford to replace the service provider's phones every year or so. Overall phone is good and fast. SIM card tray sucks when using a micro SIM. Keeps faulting out phone. Replaced with "normal" SIM card and all seems good for now.

I am so glad that I bought this phone. The screen resolution and picture quality is great. It is super fast. The battery life is great. Voice call clarity is great. It is the cleanest version of Android I have ever used. It comes with some unique features that makes using the phone and other functions much easier. However, the camera quality might not be optimum. I liked this phone so much that I saw no point in buying and keeping an expensive GS7 Edge. So, I sold my GS7 Edge and switched to Moto G4. It impossible to find a phone that beats Moto G4 in features, speed, and functions at this price. It was $150 after $50 Best Buy Gift card in rebate.

I replaced my Nexus 6P with this Moto G4 phone. The screen is a good 5.5 inch and bright. The phone comes clean with no additional apps. The performance of the phone is good and acceptable. The camera photo quality is good. One negative is when you put the phone on speaker it takes a few seconds for the speaker to come on. Overall a solid phone for the money.

Owned the 1st Gen Moto G, and I really liked that phone, so I upgraded to this 4th Gen. It's much, much faster, but some very basic features from Gen 1 aren't on this phone, like the small LED light on the G1 indicating you have some sort of message, which I really miss; otherwise, very nice, sharp screen; fast enough; no problems with phone use or reception.

My Samsung Note 4 broke and I wasn't happy with the phones on the market (I didn't want to pay $700+ or commit to 2 years of payments at this time). So I was recommended the G4 over the two unlocked Samsungs also on display. After confirming the reviews, the Moto G4 is better than the Samsung J and the Samsung On5. Overall, I'm pleased with the phone. You can put in your own micro SD card, not worry about having monthly payments, good processor, no bloatware (silly software that you don't use that can't be removed), decent camera. However, there are a few things that do bother me. 1. No gallery - you have to download a separate app for that. You're otherwise relying completely on google photo - which i don't love on its own. 2. Internal memory is only 15g. So you need to figure out how to store apps on your removable storage. 3. The front facing camera isn't as flattering as the Samsung cameras 4. Overall, the camera doesn't have as many features and is difficult to zoom - the brightness feature often gets in the way. 5. I also wish it was compatible with some of the cool add-on hardware that the Moto has with its bigger, more expensive phone. But again, if you're looking for a functional unlocked phone at under $200, this is definitely one to get.

Okay, so it isn't the latest and greatest, but this phone is affordable, takes crisp photos, and is easy to use. I had no problem getting it up and running with my carrier.

For anyone looking for an inexpensive phone that has nearly stock Android, look no further! Fast, fluid, and a pretty decent camera for a phone in this price range.

I was debating between this and the Huawei Honor 5x and decided to go with the G4. So far I have not been disappointed! It's a good phone, runs smooth, and has a really good camera. I was a bit nervous buying it, since I had read about overheating issues, but I haven't had any issues with my phone!

This was the choice after sorting through Android phones that would (1) give us good phone/app performance, (2) wouldn't be too big, and (3) wouldn't break the bank. We've had a pair of them (my son and me) now for the better part of a month, and we both like them. Pro: It's a great value for the cost. The hardware is good quality, the UX is standard Android, without bloat-ware, yet with a few optional Motorola custom gestures/controls to make some tasks easier. Plus, it has SD card support (uncommon for the price point), and the battery charging speed is pretty good, with support for Qualcomm TurboCharge. OK: The battery life and performance are reasonable. Con: There's no NFC, so you don't get Android Pay. The size is slightly large for a back pocket, particularly when sitting down. The phone gets rather warm on CPU-intensive apps like games.

While it doesn't have all the features of a flagship, it offers plenty of bang for the buck. My Note 5 suffered a catastrophic hardware failure (didn't catch on fire lol) so I needed something in the interim. I used this phone and it served well. Great buy. I only give it 4 start due to the fact it doesn't have all the features of a flagship.

This phone is very good for the price. It can compete with some of the higher tier phones that cost over twice as much. Bonus that you get to pick your own carrier.

I bought this phone because my cell phone died unexpectedly. I need to have access to my phone for work and couldn't be without a phone. I bought this to hold me over for the three days until I was sent a new phone. It's awesome. It's fast and love that is is pure Android. I actually used this an extra day before switching back to my original phone because I liked it so much. My fiance's phone died a few weeks later and she was able to use it on her carrier until she received a replacement. Buying this phone was Probably one of the smartest decisions ive made in awhile.

I had used iPhones for many years, and found them to be very easy to use. I am not a sophisticated user; calls, text, surfing, health and exercise, music. When it was time to get a new phone, cost was now a factor. And I had previously bought a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro from Best Buy, with no problems, so now that Lenovo was building the Moto G, I felt confident in the workmanship and quality. Great phone, no problems, very cost effective! Recently took it to China, and was able to get a SIM card for China Unicom, and up and calling in less than 30 seconds! I won't go back to Apple.
