Significant upgrade from my previous Moto G 3rd generation. This phone is fast. No lag. The screen is excellent. Very intuitive. Its similar to my previous Samsung Note 4. Videos and photos are HD sharp. Storage was the key seller for me. I haven't even loaded my expansion card yet as the 64 GB is sufficient for apps and downloads. The fingerprint sensor works perfectly. .Bluetooth is effective and smooth. Nothing bad to say about this phone. Sound quality is good. Overall, this phone is excellent and it saves me hundreds of dollars from being locked to a Samsung or Apple device. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I had this phone for about 2 weeks. It kept freezing up and constantly updating. After trying to get it to work properly, I gave up and went back to a Windows phone.

    Wonderful Motorola Phone!!!

This phone is amazing for it's price. The potential storage capacity of 64GB internal and 128 external SD card sold me! The screen resolution is great! I upgraded from a Moto E 2nd Gen to this one and it's a world of difference. The processing speed is very fast and it comes with a faster charging charger. For the price it's a steal. I would rather have the Moto G4 Plus than the Samsung S7 or the iPhone 7 because it does everything I need it to do and it's less than half the price. The fingerprint feature unlocks the phone instantly with your finger. It's all the security you need in my opinion. Please try this phone before spending over $700 on a Samsung or iPhone. This is worth it. I promise!

The phone would have been ok for an unlocked phone, but it goes crazy on it's own. It places calls, surfs the web, and all other commands without your help. I would buy this phone if I were you.

    Getting Better with Use!

At first I hated the Moto G4 Plus. But, I understand now that when I first set it up, I didn't have a good internet connection which caused glitches during setup. I've since bought a new router, done a factory reset and everything's good. I'm upgrading from an LG Ultimate ll Tracfone, which is still a lovely, reliable phone. But the Moto G4 Plus feels positively elegant in comparison. It's fast, the touch screen is responsive, the camera is great in good light and when you keep the phone steady. I'm still learning how to use the camera to its best advantage. Haven't used cell phone cameras that much. I got this phone refurbished from Best Buy for $189.00. There wasn't a mark on it. I've only used the slow charger that came with it to avoid trashing the battery and causing any ghost touch problems. I am not a power user in that I don't play demanding games; I close out background apps often and I don't have a bunch of websites up at once. The one weakness I have found is that the wifi antenna is not the strongest. My old, entry-level Ultimate ll connects immediately to almost any signal. This phone does not. I think that's silly considering the otherwise superiority of this phone. Also, when I started using this phone the call volume was 'way too low. I had to put calls on speaker to hear them. That and the weak wifi performance almost made me return the phone. For some reason, the call volume is fine now. The phone is connecting to my home wifi and I am happy. The screen is beautiful, I love the size--I was never a one-hander. I have put a Poetic case on it with an extra tempered glass screen protector. Thanks to those of you who warned the rest of us about potential problems. By using the slow charger, a case and double screen protection and not overloading the phone, I am giving myself a nice phone for relatively little money. As I have Tracfone--which set up without a hitch, and I cannot afford a flagship phone, this one is giving me an elegant experience that I enjoy and appreciate.

    Excellent unlocked midrange phone

For the price this phone simply is unmatched. The speed from the octocore processor is apparent, along with the clean OS which has no carrier bloat, makes for a responsive experience. The battery life is average at best, but the turbo power charger is phenomenally fast and makes up for it. The image quality is great for the IPS screen, especially at this price point. Viewing angles are up there with higher end phones. The storage capability is great, especially with adoptive storage, which means the phone can merge the micro SD and internal storage together into one unified storage solution. Besides graphically intensive games which may have slowdowns and lack of NFC I'd say this phone is almost flagship quality. Most definitely the new standard in budget phones for sure.

Great battery life, snappy app performance, and a very nice and large screen make it feel like a premium phone when you hold it, without the premium cost. There's really no need to get a $650-750 phone if it's loaded with features you'll never use, like NFC or wireless AC connectivity. The fact it's unlocked means i can save even more money on my cell plan.

    Awesome Budget Phone

I'm so glad I upgraded from my iPhone 5c and I didn't like having a small phone away. Ever since I got my hands on the Moto G4 Plus, I started to really like the phone. I love the big screen, fingerprint scanner, speed, and turbo quick charge. I noticed how I get better coverage, ram management, and speed with barely or no lag at all compared to the iPhone 5c. It's sucks that it doesn't have wifi calling and NFC, which I don't care too much about. Plus, it gets warm here and there especially when it's charging. Other than that, I'm really satisfied! If you thinking about getting this phone, go for it!!

    Good budget phone

To start this off, it is an excellent phone for the price. It is advertised as being 8-core and demolishing the other phones in its class. The phone has a good looking screen, and excellent camera features. I feel that it has a better camera than my IPhone and my Nexus 6. The phone also has an amazing fingerprint reader and the overall feel. While playing games and doing other apps it slows down and feels sluggish. If I had known otherwise, I would think that it is a dual-core phone or a flagship that is a few years old. The camera was one of the main features that attracted me to the phone. The front camera's angles are great, and has great picture quality for a front facing camera. The rear camera has a slightly wider viewing angle and takes excellent quality pictures on the go. Another nice feature is the 32gb memory, and the ability to add up to another 128gb. It also uses a simple near-stock android that is smooth and easy to use while not being bogged down by apps installed by other phone manufacturers. While playing Pokémon Go, you can tell why it is marked as a budget phone. It lags and struggles to keep up while hitting poke-stops or throwing a pokeball. Buying accessories for the phone is a hassle. I would have preferred to buy a case/tempered glass screen protector, but had to go through an online retailer to get any sort of accessory. It is the same size as the IPhone 6s+/6+ but it is a bit thicker. The textured back is nice and has a solid grip to it. In conclusion, as a mid-tier phone/a first phone for a teenager/as a back-up phone it will be an excellent fit, but if you are anywhere close to a power user, or like to switch between a few apps constantly, I wouldn't recommend making this your primary phone.

I started with the 16gb model and quickly realised that the 64gb was the way to go due to all the apps I had on my old phone. So I returned the 16gb one when the 64gb model arrived. I have no regrets. Also this model comes with 4gb of ram which makes the apps run much faster and smoother! The previous model only had 2gb of ram.
