If you got the money to upgrade your motherboard, or If this fits in your new build budget; GET IT! Comes with pretty cool RGB ambient lighting, and if your mobo swapping, it adjust by it self without making things complicated by installing windows all over again. The option of having SLI is also pretty nice, if your switching from micro atx. If you got the funds, just get the thing.

Coming from using a long line of MSI boards this one is just as easy to use as all the others. Dropped a 9900K in this one and has the power to push it to all cores 5.1ghz without breathing hard at all. Dragon center is a decent improvement over the older command center. Never have regretted using MSI for performance gaming and overclocking.

I’m a beginner to PC building but I was looking for a good gaming Mb and I tried a few from ASUS and they would support my 9th gen cpu but I grabbed this one and it ran it perfectly and smoothly. It has great RGB lighting as well and a very reliable board. I highly recommend.

If building a 9th gen system this is a really good motherboard to work with. It’s more than capable of overclocking, has a beautiful built in IO shield, and I was able to build my pc extremely quickly with this. Everything’s clearly marked, and I appreciate the NVME SSD heatsink.
The rgb in a lit up case though, can be hard to notice. I’ve attached a few pictures.

Had to upgrade the board in order to upgrade my CPU. I have always liked MSI products and this one doesn't let down either. Great specs, built in RGB if you are into that, plenty of ports and connections.

Got this board to upgrade my PC. Looks great in the case and the lights are not over done or obnoxious. There is software to control the color as well as monitor temps. Overall would recommend.

Previous computer stopped working and I needed to build a new one that was affordable. Chose this motherboard for its features and style and it worked out great. I’ve never made an RGB themed pc before but I figured might as well since the cost isn’t that extravagant like it used to be.

My First PC Build

This was my first PC build and this was the motherboard I chose due to needing something with Wi-Fi and I wanted some RGB flair. The Mystic Lighting works with the fans in the case I purchased and I wanted two M.2 slots. It was a lot of little things that led me to this board. I also watched a youtube build by Jayz2Cents and that used a similar MSI board. I have to say for my first build, everything was very easy. I didn't have a disc drive for the drivers so I had to use a thumb drive to add the network drivers but once I did that I was able to finish the rest with downloaded drivers and utilities. I did end up having to update the bios (which took 15 minutes tops) so that my MSI Dragon Center would properly register the temp of my CPU. I've been running it for a week with no issues and it appears to be solid and I'm more than happy with it. I called MSI support for a quick question and they were good to deal with and picked right up. So all is good from my stand point and I was torn on ASUS vs this MSI board and I am happy with my choice.

THIS THING IS SICK! CRAZY FAST! AND IT HAS CARBON FIBER!!! Had this thing since 2020 and it's still running strong 4 years later! Would buy again even though the sockets have upgraded.

If you build your own systems you will have a typical experience using this board. It has many bells and whistles I will most likely never use but for a bigger enthusiast they are good to have. The LED lights are nice but I don't have a see through case so I don't mess with them. I used the first NVMe slot and it has benched out typical of the performance expected. CPU is an Intel 9700K so it has plenty of overhead for gaming and other tasks. I will look into over clocking someday and other reviews do say it's a reliable platform but I have not tried yet. It is still early on but I have had no problems with this build and as I have said it a typical motherboard install. Only issue, and I'm still researching, is the built in blue tooth. Blue tooth is always odd when it comes to computers for me. My headphones just keep dropping out and it takes a lengthy turning off and on and resetting computer then turning the system device on and off. They are skull candy crusher wireless. I also have the same issue with my LG bluetooth ear buds I use on my phone. Software or hardware or device, who knows, but what I do know is they work flawlessly every day all day with my Galaxy S10 and have never dropped once or had problems reconnecting. If you get this I feel you will not be disappointed based on my experience so far.

Pros: - Very high build quality
- Exceptional VRM (cannot get it hot)
- Audio quality stands out
- WiFi speeds are best I ever saw
- Looks pretty cool, but I guess all motherboards do these days
- Plenty of fan headers
- Plenty of back panel connectivity
- Mechanically reinforced RAM and PCIe headers are a really good idea
Cons: - Really wish it had physical buttons like my previous MSI M7 Gaming used to have on the motherboard itself. It used to have a reset and power button implemented.
Other than that, I am extremely pleased with how well it is performing. And I recomend everyone to purchase it. I am running an i9-9900K with an RTX 2080 ti and 32gb DDR4 and it is fast.

Solid motherboard. Multiple fan headers. Everything is fairly easy to use and straightforward. The only thing that is a little bit rough is the placement of the shielded M2. I lost the left pin holding down the shield during the build but it doesnt seem to be a problem. If you try to put your graphics card in before installing the M2 you will have a problem. In some smaller cases the ram and i/o shield can get close to a top mounted aio.

Bought this mobo for my new build. I went with the MSI from an EVGA in my last rig . MSI has always been good to me in the past so I decided to go back with old faithful and I am not disappointed. Absolutely ROCK SOLID board and I love the reinforcement they added to the PCI-e slots it really helps hold that MSI RTX 2070 SUPER OC I have churning out the FPS. Everything practically sets it self on first boot other than a few preferences you may have. It picked up and set the tightest timings, and voltage for my 32gb DDR4 Corsair Vengence with XMP profile. Very easily overclockable and does a great job with the automatic overclock feature, and has tons of features in the bios. All in all I highly recommend this board whether its your first or your hundredth build !!! Loving the Mystic Lights to giving it that sexy look !!
