Items states it's Model Compatibility with Samsung Gear VR but pay close attention to Charging Interface which is Micro USB. The newer 2017 Samsung Gear VR has a female USB Type C port, NOT a Micro USB port (see pic of Samsung Gear VR 2017 model USB Type C port). I learned this the hard way. Hopefully my post will keep someone else from making same mistake. I'll have to get an adapter to use it with the 2017 Gear VR and so will you if you make the same mistake. Other than that, great little charger. I'm dinging this charger 1 star as it would have been nice to have a USB Type C adapter come with the charger considering how many devices, including the Gear VR 2017 model, use that connection type now.

Charge it up, connect it and your phone will not charge down so fast while using the Gear VR. Keeps it cooler too!

The VR charge is a great addition to the Samsung Gear VR device. Really extends the playing time AND uses both the power bank AND the phone for energy hungry applications

I bought this so I could power up my Samsung VR goggles without draining the life out of my battery on my phone. This charger works great and I have enjoyed many hours of virtual reality games that are free. I let my brother borrow this because he has the same goggles and was amazed at how much battery life it saved on his phone. I would recommend buying this if you don't want short battery life on your phone and you have the Samsung VR goggles.

Works great with the vr, lightweight and easy to use.

The battery on my Note 5 drained within 30 minutes before I started using the myCharge. Now, when I finish playing with my VR, my battery is actually at a higher charge than when I began.

Simple to use. Fast to charge. Can use 3-4 times before recharging. Bought it for gear vr use and now my phone loses no power while in vr..... actually gains some at times

With my note in, my Bluetooth controller and headset connectors, played for over an hour and my phon had about 10 % more charge than when I started.

I bought this battery to reduce the drain on my phone battery while watching the videos from the Olympics on my gear. No issues and it matches my gear VR well.

This is a great add-on to the Gear VR. It allows you to extend your play time without having to connect a USB cable charger.

Works as stated. Easy to affix, glad I purchased. Great to use the VT and phone is still chargedon't afterwards.

This is a perfect power bank, it gives you extra power when you need it.

Recommend anyone with gear vr to get one of these so the power life of your phone isn't being used during play.

good addition to Vr head gear to save from draining phone battery

I read the product review and I thought it was made to explicit charge my phone when in use on Gear VR, but every time I connected show me a message saying the opposite, than because the phone is in VR mode, cannot be charge it and sadly I couldn't find an answer to my problem anywhere, not on product page or Gear VR page, guess I can use the battery to charge my phone without VR, but... didn't try it yet.

This isnt the best battery pack for the price. My phone still over heats when using the vr with this. I dont get 4 hours of play time with it. I could have easily bought a bigger battery pack with this price.
