This thing is a beast, I have yet to have any system that is to the caliber of this thing. It absolutely gets rid of need individual speakers

Replaced 5.2 Yamaha receiver and B&W speakers with the Nakamichi Shockwafe 11.2.6 soundbar because adding additional speakers and the associated wires that are required to upgrade to Dolby Atmos was not possible with my open layout family room. I’m very pleased with the ease of installation, sound quality, and how it fills the room with sound. This unit does a great job of accurately positioning sound throughout the sound field making movies far more immersive than with my previous set up. The dual subwoofers provide thunderous bass yet don’t overwhelm the mid and highs. The volume can be raised to literally painful levels without distortion. Movies are this unit’s forte, music is not quite as warm or full as with my previous setup. I am extremely impressed and pleased with the Nakamichi and would highly recommend it especially if you’re focus is on an immersive movie experience.

I have been planning to turn my basement into a home theater room and had been browsing full on traditional set ups some. However, they would easily cost double the price of the Nakamichi for quality components of everything that would be needed. I appreciate the ease of installation that this provides with no need for an amp or running wires to everything. You can be up and running with this in about 30 minutes. I have the previous version of the shockwafe 9.2.4 1300 watt and this one is definitely a step above that one. The soundbar is MASSIVE and is the most noticeable difference. I notice there is a lot of bass coming from the soundbar that blends well with the subs making it less noticeable that the bass is coming just from the subs. The surrounds are also larger and more premium in appearance. Irrelevant to performance but these were extremely well packaged with specialty cut foam(not styrofoam) and double walled boxes. This prevented any in transit damage if you’re having the item shipped to your house. My only complaint is that I wish there were four satellite speakers so you could have side and rear speakers like the previous shockwafes. Side note on setup to anyone purchasing; the subs are labeled as left and right. I didn’t realize this and placed them backwards from what they should be. Also realized I may have errored on this with my previous version as well because they are also labeled as left and right subs. If I were debating between this model and the 9.2.4 I would definitely recommend this one if you can swing the extra cost. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on the dragon and it had mixed reviews which made me a little worried that I would be underwhelmed when making this purchase. This comes in at a better price point than the Dragon and I am really pleased with it. I’m no sound expert but I’d definitely buy again and have no buyer’s remorse. Another side note is that the surround speakers bolt onto stands from the bottom instead of the back like the previous version. I have them currently just sitting on my previous stands which has been fine so far but I would like to have them fixed to the stands so there is no chance they fall. Nakamichi’s stands for this that aren’t released yet are EXPENSIVE for some metal stands. I’m sure there will probably be something that will work on Amazon though.

Quite immersive and cinema like experience Worth the price

Best Sound System I ever had! Have in your consideration this system is monster size. It is made for a big space! I called tech support and their response was fast. Fast shipping, my boxes came in perfect condition. Nakamichi does not play with quality end to end.

I recently owned the Samsung 990d and wanted to give the Nakamichi a try. The sound stage on the Nakamichi is next level. The surrounds are definitely an upgrade and the bass is more pronounced. If you need a lager sound stage than the Nakamichi Shockwafe is the system for you.

The Nakamichi Shockwafe Home Theater sounds amazing and really makes movie nights feel special. The bass is deep and powerful without being overwhelming, and dialogue stays clear even during action scenes. The surround sound pulls you into what you’re watching, giving it that true cinema feel at home. It’s easy to set up and delivers big performance for the price—definitely a great upgrade for anyone who loves immersive sound.

The best soundbar ever!!! I had Sonos, Samsung and Bose and this is the one that has met all my expectations in quality and sound is wonderful and the customer service is very good. Nakamichi the best!!!
