There is a mislabeling issue here. Its the standard edition not the limited one!!

In case you’re here in 2025 looking for a legit copy of The Run, here it is. It claims that it is for the Origin app but registered just fine in the EA app. Note that this game was delisted in 2021 and the game will get hung up trying to connect to the Autolog server, which no longer exists. The best way to get around this is to create a custom application firewall block in Windows Defender (you can find how to do this with a simple internet search). It will give a “failure” message upon startup but the game will otherwise work without issue. Also note that many of the cars are not unlockable without multiplayer. So how is the game in 2025? Honestly, I haven’t felt this way about an NFS since I played Most Wanted for the first time many years ago. Yes, it’s very short - if you only play the titular “Run” once. My recommendation: 1. Play “The Run” on Normal or Hard for a first playthrough and unlock all the “challenge series” events for each stage, 2. Complete all 54 “challenge series” events with at least bronze to unlock a bunch of cars to use in “The Run” (get all golds to get even more), and 3. Complete “The Run” once more on Expert with all the unlocks and cars you’ve gotten. This “3-hour game” will balloon to about 10-15 hours and you’ll come to grips with its idiosyncrasies, letting a game that at first feels short, rigid, and scripted breathe and reveal its deeper, more nuanced racing. For all the individuality and freedom previous Black Box titles gave the player, the immediacy and the intensity and of the racing here is just unmatched elsewhere in the series. If you ever wondered what the next evolutionary step for the series would be after Hot Pursuit 2 if Underground/Most Wanted never happened, this is it!

run from one side of us to the other.. just like it says.. only place i could find this game for pc as it is not being sold anymore on EA so get it here while you can!! Look up how to turn off the network as the servers are dead and it will never connect to them.. and sadly there are some cars you cant unlock now..

When I did get this game to play, it was fine until tried to play it on my other computer in the next roon, it would not play, I'm guessing this game purchase works on one computer only I wish this game was available on disk format so I can play it on other PC's in my house w/o a hassle.

One of the Only my favorite racing and Game of all the time, interesting story and graphic is great.. would recommend to anyone whos racing maniac ;)

Throwback when I was playing on my Xbox. Severs are bad though

first of all, it won't even start unless you disconnect your computer from the internet. and KEEP it disconnected as it tries to connect to EA's stupid "Autolog" service and won't give up after every race second of all, even with a current gen CPU as of 2024, 7900X (and PCIe 4 NVMe), there's still a notable pause between stages, defeating the feel of this being a continuous "Cannonball Run" from coast to coast. better than the previous gen, but still too annoying to me
