Bought a wireless adapter because I moved my pc to the bedroom. Bought this brand because I have a netgear router. As with all things wireless, placement is key. This adapter comes with a usb extension cable and a little holder with some adhesive tape. This will allow you to find the best placement possible. setup was super easy, so I was surfing the web in no time. It is dual band so it can run on 2.4ghz or 5ghz channel. The 5ghz band is not that good, the range is bad and the speed is also bad. I got about 45mbps from my 100mbps connection. The 2.4ghz band is awesome though. Great range and I get about 75mbps. I have yet to see a 5ghz band that works great, so I dont consider it a big negative. A great best buy and value for the $.

My laptop (HP Pavilion) is less than 8 months old, but I was only getting connection speeds of 4Mbps-8Mbps, and was unable to connect to my router's 5G. With this simple-to-install device I'm now connecting faster than ever before. I just checked http://www.speedtest.net/ and my download speed is almost 50Mbps!

We bought this because my mom refuses to upgrade out desktop to something modern. She uses it for internet since it didn't have a wifi card. Overall the product is nice. It works as advertised. Kinda clunky though thats the only thing. Its much bigger in person than it looks in pictures.

This does have a good range and my Wi-Fi did get better as I use it on my desktop which is upstairs and diagnoally opposite to where my router is located. But Speed has improved at least 10 times Good buy for the money, if you are not ready to invest in a good router at the moment

I was on the road when my laptop's wireless card died, and this WiFi adapter got me back online in a jiffy! In fact, I haven't bothered to have my laptop fixed, as I really can't be without it for any length of time. Almost a year later, and this adapter still works just as well as the wireless card did.

This netgear wirles adapter is a great convenient product to have. This wirless adapter has great range wjich gives me so much flexibility in were i can have my desk top pc located. The netgear wireless adapter is also very simple to use eith its usb plug and play ease of operation.

The adapter was a good price. Needed several for training room. The installed easily and quickly with supplied CD. Range was good, so the speed of the internet was fast.

Simply put, it does what it is supposed to do and does it well. An easy install. Stays connected. The one drawback is that its is missing a decent stand. Cheaper designs, even Netgear, have a real stand. This just sits on the desk. Could have been 5 stars.

This wireless adapter works awesome. Makes the computer go faster. You can take your computer into another room, and the computer still works really good. This is the second adapter that I bought, we have another computer and I needed one for that too. Have no complaints.

Works as advertised. Plug in and surf the net! Bought it when my internal WiFi went out in my laptop. Easy to install and use. Hasn't let me down at home or on the road! Dropped a star because it is a little large, but I guess that keeps me from losing it!

Great product. It was very easy to install and performs well. I have a wireless network on the other side of the house and this Wi-Fi adapter was able to pick up the network and reliably connect when many other wireless devices can't even see the network at that range.

Moved an older desktop computer further away from the router so a wired connection became impractical. This was an easy solution. So far, the connection has been reliable and fast enough for streaming video. I'm quite satisfied with this product.

Recently went from Verizon DSL to Metrocast internet, and the room with my desktop computer does not have a cable outlet. Purchased this instead of hardware for my CPU, and am pleased. Easy to install/set up, and has provided a consistent internet connection.

Easy install and does the job for what we needed. For the price it's the best and most reliable that we've used. Purchased a competitors product and had to return it within 30 days because of overheating problems and dropped internet.

So I did not read the reviews on buying this product however I always look at the stars and how many reviews a product has. This was a must buy for me. We have our wireless router in a different bedroom and it was so much more convenient for us to buy this product where we have our desktop computer in our master bedroom. I installed the product the same day that I purchased it and it was such an easy set up process and I have not seen any fluctuations in our connection. Very reliable and I highly recommend.

I had a need for a wireless adapter, and this did the trick. It functions well for me. Range is good. Installation was easy for me on Win8.1. Haven't had any problems. I can't say it is great, but it has been pretty good.

In a corner of a large area far from the wi-fi router. Lots of machinery in this shop space, too. Through all that, I get good wi-fi reception. It installed without a problem; Win 7 found whatever drivers it needed. I'd get it again.

Only took a few minutes to set up and get it working. A bit large to plug directly to the USB ports on the back of the computer, but the extension cable and holder for attaching it somewhere else are very useful.

I found this Netgear - RangeMax IEEE 802.11n USB - Wi-Fi Adapter VERY easy to install. I just put it in the appropriate slot and it was quickly up and operating! Also reasonably priced, so what's not to like?

I'm really happy with this WiFi Adapter. It's basically plug and play, no need to install a wireless card. Easy to use and works great. Signal strength is strong and there are rarely any disruptions.
