Have some older desktops running equipment in my shop which is 50’ from the wireless router in my house. This fit the bill, instead of running a data line this was able to hook my old desktop to the internet. Decent price and it’s an easy install.

The setup took very little time and it more than meets the range requirements i needed it for. It will cut out at times but just reset it like you would another router or modem. My parents bought a lousy desktop with no wifi capability and this filled the need perfectly.

I was kind of in a spot. A rural location and my cable ISP wasn't doing it anymore. A Wi-Fi hot spot was going to have to do the job but my computer wasn't set up for wireless. The Netgear Genie worked great- that's not to say the same for the "hot spot" device that I bought. It crapped out in 5 weeks. Next try was with a smart phone on hot spot setting. The "Genie" had some problems getting through the security settings on the phone- which were entirely the phone's fault. The Netgear support guy spent an hour with me on the phone reconfiguring the smart phone's security codes. Once done, the Genie works like a dream. dream. Never known another support service would work so hard on some one else's device just to make their's work. Great tool and customer support!

This is a basic wireless device. We got it to connect or old PC to the network because the store did not carry internal wireless cards. The speed is good and setup was easy. Not much more to say. No dropped connections since we bought it in June.

I am very please. Easy to install. Works great! No issues. Needed an adapter for my computer that was not wireless ready. Had moved our router to a more centralized area in the house so I needed this adapter and it hasn't missed a beat. No problems.

I bought this for an old desktop that had a G level wireless. With the new DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and built in router my speed was averaging 45 MBS. After adding the NETGEAR - RangeMax IEEE 802.11n USB - Wi-Fi Adapter my speed increased to just under 100 MBS. Money well spent.

I was prepared to buy the best (most expensive) wi-fi adapter to ensure there would be no internet troubles. The sales rep pointed out the cost point on this one and we 'gambled' on it. bottomline: great product - great price - great value.

This is a great product for the price. I use it on a desktop which is about 40ft from the router and for the most part it works great. Occasionally the connection will drop for a bit but it's an easy fix. It's also a breeze to install.

I needed this device as it is compatible with my internet company. Rated the bet for speed and quality but was $20 cheaper on line. Best Buy priced matched and I used a coupon! I rather buy in a store!

Picked up a few of these for a work project. The overall performance is good. I had a little difficulty in getting it to stay connected. Uninstalling/Reinstalling the drivers seemed to do the trick.

This product was easy to use and understand. We used it to make wireless a computer that is permanently connected to a 8x12 CNC router. I am now able to perform updates by making my phone a hotspot

My internal card on my 3 year old pc was going bad so for $42 I put this external netgear card on my pc and I am getting great coverage now. A really good stopgap until I get a new PC later in the year.

It works as it should: Fast, glitch free data transfer, especially on 5 GHz Quick to re-establish connection on waking from sleep mode Once installed, nothing to fuss with, just works so you can get on with your life. It was very easy to install, although I do suggest you install only the device driver, an option Netgear thankfully makes available. I am not a fan of the bloatware packaged with this and other Wifi adapters that merely replicate what the operating system can already do and adds no real functionality or usefulness. My only complaint is I wish the unit was slimmer in physical size. A bit of a blimp compared to most other USB devices these days, necessitating the use of the included extension cable.

Bought a wireless adapter because I moved my pc to the bedroom. Bought this brand because I have a netgear router. As with all things wireless, placement is key. This adapter comes with a usb extension cable and a little holder with some adhesive tape. This will allow you to find the best placement possible. setup was super easy, so I was surfing the web in no time. It is dual band so it can run on 2.4ghz or 5ghz channel. The 5ghz band is not that good, the range is bad and the speed is also bad. I got about 45mbps from my 100mbps connection. The 2.4ghz band is awesome though. Great range and I get about 75mbps. I have yet to see a 5ghz band that works great, so I dont consider it a big negative. A great best buy and value for the $.

I'm really happy with this WiFi Adapter. It's basically plug and play, no need to install a wireless card. Easy to use and works great. Signal strength is strong and there are rarely any disruptions.

This is a great adapter. All I had to do was plug it in and stick it on the side of the case. Set up was as simple as pressing the button on my cable modem.
