Much noisier than my other portable ACs, which are also NewAir brand. Manual is confusing because it talks about emptying the tank while it is in cooling mode, but the box and the Best Buy description say it is self evaporative. I almost returned it without using it, as I do not want to have to empty a bucket, but I set it up anyway. Have never needed to empty the tank, even when it has run for several days at a time. If using as a dehumidifier would clearly have to empty the tank, but I do not need it for that purpose.

I got this unit thinking about the fact that I could actually move it around the house. Although I knew it wasn't gonna be as easy as it said in the description, I never thought it was going to be such a pain. The coil kept popping out of the window or the back of the unit every time I moved it. The front vent would no stay open so I had to use tape to keep it from closing every 5 seconds. The room never really got as cold as I wanted it to be so I ended up returning the unit. It might work for someone else, but it definitely didn't work for me.

THE EXHAUST HOSE IS NOT LONG ENOUGH AND I MISSED THE RETURN WINDOW FOR BEST BUY. I TRIED CALLING NEWAIR BUT NO ONE PICKS UP. LEFT MESSAGE FOR SOMEONE TO CALL ME BUT NO ONE CALLS BACK. DO NOT LIKE BEST BUYS RETURN POLICY IT'S TOO LITTLE TIME TO RETURN ESPECIALLY SINCE IT TAKES TIME FOR THEM TO DELIVER PRODUCT.

My loft doesn't have windows that can support a traditional window AC unit so this was a great solution to help keep cool this summer. It does a great job.

I underestimated of what an AC means to install and the amount of space. Not a solution apartments

good air flow. But not strong enough for the room. My room size is 23x15. The a/c showed the room temperature was 78 before turning on. Then. after 2 hrs , machine was on. It show 75. The instruction said would cover 425 Sq.Ft. So it may be good for the smaller room.

This portable ac unit does the job... it's not very quite but keeps room cool.

This is a good unit for the price. A little noisy though

This unit is very easy to install, even without having to cut anything, just using the stuff it comes with.

I use this item in my room to keep it a little colder then the rest of the house, works great!

Bought as a daily deal. Unit works great but the pictures are deceiving. you have to have an exhaust port out a window. There's no way you can just set it up next to your couch in the living room or next to a closed window. Hindered my placement options but made it work. (they include the exhaust tube and window mounting accessories which makes life alot easier then trying to Macgyver something to fill the gaps) Other factor is the directional louvers slowly fall down after extended amount of time (1-2 hours) so i just had to tape them up not to big of a deal.
