Gameplay provides for a realistic game-flow experience and everything works smoothly. However, there's not much different from the last 5-6 years of NHL games. Disappointed that there's not as much control after the whistle as in other games or in FIFA. Commentary is ok, but the emphasis on the star player roles gets old very fast. Gameplay modes are what you would expect.

I love the nhl 23 hockey game for my Xbox one easy to use and can’t wait for any new games

Good game. Some changes from previous year includes more touchy passing, one timers not as easy to connect, defenders get puck from offense little easier etc. Game id say is more realistic because of those aspects but a little frustrating of used to old game.

Nice new features including complete player customization and attributes. More control over your player's abilities and more dynamic feel to the game. 4/5 stars due to connection issues, parts of the game feel unfinished, EASHL playoffs still a grind-fest and not based on skill. Would recommend.

I've gotten NHL each year when it comes out and will say '22 def adds things which make it worth purchasing. I think the graphics are definitely improved, crowd looks better. The game is also more difficult to play so it's not as easy to win at the higher levels.

The gameplay does feel improved, I honestly like it a lot better. My problem is that gameplay was not this game’s issue. Really, most big titles from large studios have the gameplay worked out. What NHL 22 needs is better content. Limited time events that are functionally different from what is always available. An actual be a pro with cinematic and a story. Changes to franchise mode and gameplay will always feel stale after a month or so because that’s just like the real NHL, not much really changes from year to year except for some rule changes and which teams are competitive. We need fresh cycles of games modes, cross play so that match making isnt such a huge problem, maybe a few other small things.

The great NHL action we've come to enjoy. Has all the features we hope, as far as I'm concerned it picks up where the last game left off. With improved graphics. Overall very happy with it.
