I actually use this camera professionally and it is a very nice little camera to carry around. I also love the Snapbridge capability of it as well.

I have updated from a D5200 and this one is worlds apart. More user friendly, stunning pictures and the size of the camera is just perfect for carrying it everywhere. Love it!

OK I’m going to cut to the chase and list some built points for the features I like and the others I won’t use. I like and have enjoyed this camera, the reason for 4 stars is the wifi feature. If they just left it off and included IR remote shoot I would rate it 5 stars. Pros: I wanted a camera easier to use with manual mode, this works. The command diel on the top of the camera is easy to use. The large screen makes it easy to review shoots for sharpness, composure and make sure you have the shoot you want. If you do not want the screen to illuminate, leave it reversed. The touch screen makes it easy and faster to change settings and mode. Pictures are very sharp, good contrast and color saturation. The size and weight of this model works for me. Lighter and smaller than most. Auto focus is fast and accurate, but may vary with lens. I like the live view better than I thought I would. I find situations where you cannot frame a shoot otherwise. It is good for close ups of flowers where you need to be low to the ground. Cons: Not impressed with the wifi features and the fact they choose to leave off the IR remote shoot. I’m just going to bundle all of the wifi features into one and say, Nikon could have invested there time and money in a better way.

This camera is packed with many pro features and configuring is easy with the touch screen menus. The main controls are available from the I button then make your changes from the touch screen. The size is very good to put into a small camera bag or a strap around your neck. One of the lightest DSLR's of today. Hundreds of Nikon lens available from the beginning of the F mount system. The drawback might be battery life, I never leave home without a spare charged battery. Live view is great with touch screen focus and shutter. However you have to exit live view to change the f stop. No regrets buying this camera.

I upgraded my Nikon for better picture quality. It is lighter and easier to handle than my last Nikon and the pictures are outstanding. Love that the camera can use all my Nikon lenses for zoom and wide angle.

I just bought this camera before the arrival of a new Grand child but I didn't get many pictures due to clarity issues. Of coarse, in the hospital they ask that you turn the flash off which I did and the pictures still came out but almost too bright and this made the pictures kind of blurred. Maybe it's my fault but this is my third Nikon DSLR camera and although I am not much more than an point and shoot photographer this is the first camera that gave me these issues. I will work with it and see if I can master it but it does upset me some that I had to rely on other people to share pictures they took with their phones when I spent so much on the camera just for this event. Others may not have this problem I will have to look at more reviews since there just might be a problem with this one camera and not all cameras from this model.

I was shooting technically excellent pictures in no time. However I did have familiarity with the Nikon D-300 which may have helped. I am very happy with the auto exposure features, contrast sharp and colors excellent even with soft or pastel colors. I had 2 concerns: 1) the battery had difficulty holding a charge, but this was quickly resolved by the vendor and 2) for me, setting up the wi-fi seemed quite complex and it appears it will take some time or outside consultation. It might not be an issue for others.

I upgraded from my D3200 to this camera, and I can't begin to tell you happy I am with that decision. I looked at other models (I like Nikon), I decided on the D5600, wow, what a difference. I also like that I can connect with the Snapbridge app and view my pictures right on my phone. I don't get into the social media frenzy, but I do enjoy sending the pictures to my family and friends and the app allows me to do this. Enough about the app, the picture quality with this camera is not even comparable, Though I am not a professional photographer, the picture's I am able to take now look like professional quality.

The 5600 is loaded with features, it’s a great camera for beginners to slightly advanced photographers. The camera is easy to use and the ease of transferring photos via the app is great. I just wished the WiFi could connect to a device without the need for an app.

THIS EASY-TO-USE NIKON DSLR IS A GREAT OPTION FOR BEGINNERS. Nikon D5600 feels great, it’s not too heavy and its not too light, its right in that sweet spot for a DSLR.

I purchased this model in "body only" (includes battery/charger) to replace an older Nikon D60 which performed very, very well for years. All of my multiple lenses fit/operate perfect! This new and upgraded model includes more options to include smartphone connectivity/Bluetooth and an articulating/hinged display screen that also functions amazingly as a "viewfinder screen." My D60 was my beginner camera and now, years later, this model has brought me to the novice level. Kudos to Nikon and Kudos to Best Buy (for their customer service and competitive price matching)!
