This is a must-have lens for travel/street photography! I am typically not a fan of all-in-one lenses, but I saw good reviews for this lens so I decided to give it a try. I have an extensive selection of pro zooms and dedicated primes that I use for professional work, but they can be heavy and impractical for personal photography where razor sharp corner to corner images and micro-contrast aren’t a factor. This lens trades light gathering, subject isolation, and micro-contrast for lightweight portability and better than average image quality across a wide range of scenarios. While I cannot recommend this lens for professional work (which it isn’t intended for) It is a great all-rounder for everyday or travel use. Images are tack sharp in the center at all focal lengths, a little soft in the edges until stopped down to f/8. VR is very good, so it is still easy to take great night/indoor images even handheld as long as your subject isn’t moving. Focus is acceptably fast, weather sealing, flare, and CA are all well withing acceptable limits for general daily use. Well done Nikon!

great lens.
Purchase it with the Nikon Z6iii and get it for $600.
no other camera store or Amazon with touch that price.
As a combo. thats the only downside.
Lens is fantastic though. At best it's on sale for $700 alone.
With a Nikon combo its a still.

The lens is light and has acceptable sharpness. Bought it for my wife as the 2.8 glass is just to heavy for a long day of shooting.

Best all-purpose lens I’ve ever seen. Great focal length range with very little distortion and extremely sharp. Very compact, perfect for travel and everyday walk-around use.

I got this as a jack-of-all-trades lens for vacations. It is surprisingly sharp and if you don't need a super fast lens the aperture limits are still respectable.

Nice lens, it was on sale. The disadvantage is that it is a slower lens. Fast accurate focus. simple operation. These new mirrorless lines seem to be plastic. Still like the lens as it has a great range. I think the 28-75 2.8 is a better lens but this is a decent all around zoom.

Got this to replace the 24-70 f4 that came with my Z6 (the telephoto was just lacking - I had come from an APS/C sensor DSLR and was used not only to the effective magnification of any given focal length compared with the full-size sensor Z6, but the more generous zoom ranges for the lenses available for DSLRs). I have only been using the 24-200 for a few weeks, but I'm impressed with the sharpness, focusing performance, and the crazy low shutter speeds I can get by with because of the VR in the lens in addition to the IBIS in the Z6. Definitely happy with the purchase. Plus, BBY was just about the only place that had them when I bought it.

Absolutely brilliant lens. I would recommend for all using a Z camera. It is very light and small. Very easy to carry it around. The photos are sharp and works wonderfully in low light. I was skeptical to buy this lens in the begining but after reading the reviews, i gave it a try, i then thought to myself, why didn't i get this lens in the begining.

İts a versatile and lightweight lens suitable for travel and everyday shooting, capable of near-professional results, though its limited low-light performance and shallow depth of field may fall short in fully professional settings.

I purchased this lens for my Nikon Z6ii mirrorless camera, and the pictures are Cristal clear! I love the zoom, and another great feature is that the lens has a lock on it! It is weather sealed, and I love taking it outdoors, just to take random pictures, and family pictures. It is light weight, and the price for it's value is worth it due to it's awesome performance! You won't be disappointed!

After lugging around a D850 and multiple heavy lenses on vacations I finally decided to lessen the load. Purchased a Z6ii ...then purchased this lens for my traveling exploits. Will purchase a Z 14-30mm next and will use my 300mm pf on trips for now on. Lense is very light and so far images are sharp. Can't wait for a real test but all appears to be excellent so far.

Best bang-for-the-buck Nikon lens I own - sharp

Best ‘bang-for-the-buck’ Nikon Z lens I own. Okay it’s not built as robust or weather-sealed like Nikon’s S pro lens. But it has a great zoom range & the image quality is impressive. I pixel peep & do not see much or really any difference in image quality with my other S lens. So if I want to travel light, I attach this to my Nikon Z7II & leave the rest behind. Ok, I may also bring the 14-30mm for wider landscapes/seascapes. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is the slow aperture. This is not a lens for astrophotography. Still a great deal & highly recommended.

As described in all the product reviews this is a do it all lens with an outstanding image. What I like it goes from wide angle to medium telephoto. Result you can shoot indoors or get great range outside. The pictures are perfect and its a lot lighter to carry around. So on a trip its the only lens you need to carry so lighten your load.

Perfect carry around lens on my Z6. Have upcoming travel to see the grandkids. Looking forward to the lighter weight and less complexity! So far, it’s been a solid lens for everyday usage. Big step up from a phone camera.

I rented this lens a little while ago and was very pleased with its performance and portability. The lock on the rental had already lost its ability to hold the lens at 24mm so I'm guessing I have to keep an eye on that over the life of the lens.
