The belnder works as advirtised. The bendsense feature is works very well. Everything gets evenly blended and there are no chunks. It crushes ice into the best snow. Legit, same level as a shaved ice machine. Plenty of power to get any blending job done. The food processor/ slicer blade works great. No issues there and the dough making bowl/blade/setting work great.

It is fabulous! Since I’ve bought it I’ve been making stuff with with it everyday. Mash potatoes, smoothies, juices, and even my dogs food and his treats. Careful blades are very sharp, which is great, cut my finger the first day. I absolutely love this product.

Great controls and cool intelligence produced excellent results for me in this full featured blender/food processor appliance. Design The Detect Power Kitchen System Blender and Processor Pro is all black with silver trim. I like the look of the rounded corners. There are suction cups on the bottom to keep it from moving when you use it. There's a prominent Ninja logo on the front of the base unit. Below that there are 5 buttons; Power, Manual, BlendSense, Mode, and Pulse. Below those buttons there is a large dial that's also a button. It includes a 72oz pitcher (64oz max liquid capacity), a 64oz food processor bowl that can handle up to 2 lbs. of dough, and a 21oz single server cup (21oz max liquid capacity). The pitcher has a pour spout and there's a nice lid for the single serve cup which also had a closing spout. The blades for the blending pitcher and the bowl for the processor both have the blades anchored at the top and the bottom. If you take off the lids and pour, the blades will fall out, so make sure to remove them before pouring if you take the lid off. They do come out very easily. The processor bowl includes an opening like you would expect to see on a food processor as well as a pusher to push items down. There's a blade insert, insert for kneading bread, and a disc for shredding and slicing - put it in one way to shred and flip it over to slice. The manual comes with some recipes, done nicely with color pictures. It is made to detect Torque, Ice, Portion, and Liquid as part of the BlendSense technology. Controls I love the controls on this! After turning it on, you will have four options, Manual, BlendSense, Mode, and Pulse. It goes to BlendSense by default when you turn it on and you can just press the dial to start. There is a beautiful and bright display inside the large dial. I found it very easy to read and use. Parts of it illuminate as needed. Turning the dial has a great feel as you feel the slight bump from option to option, making selection with the dial easy. Once you're on the option you want, just press the dial in to start blending. If it's doing BlendSense it will run for a short time to detect what's in and/or how to blend. To use the food processor you may want to use one of the Mode settings, which are for that, or you can use Manual. Under Mode there's are settings for Disc (used for slicing or grating), Mince, Small Chop, or Large Chop. The options under Manual are Low, Medium, and High. Again, I really like the feel of the dial as you turn it and pressing it is very easy and works well - not too easy but well designed to require enough force that you will not press it by accident. The dial is the start/stop button for all settings. There is, of course, the Pulse button too which works as you would expect. Blending and the Processor With an 1800 watt motor and the three sets of blades going at once, I don't imagine that this would have a hard time blending anything. It worked great for me as I was using it. I started with a quick and easy milk shake in the single serving cup. I made it very quick and easy one that tasted excellent! I just put three scoops of ice cream and a large banana in it. I used the BlendSense setting, which is the default, and before I knew it had great, very uniformly blended smoothy with no chunks of banana in it. Again, this was in the Single Serving cup which has it's own blade assembly, not the three sets up the middle like the blade for the pitcher. Something more interesting I made was an oat-nut butter in the Processor Bowl. It had oats, walnuts, coconut oil, avocado oil, cinnamon, and vanilla. This took some time because I hadn't made it before and kept needing to add more oil. At first, the oats and nuts would just get stuck along the side. So it was a lot of stop and go to push everything off the sides of the bowl. The blades do go pretty close to the side but there are four vertical bumps that come inward which I'm sure help for most things you use the processor for, but for this it gave just a bit more room for things to get stuck on the side. Like I said, adding oil definitely helped. Did it end up too oily? Not at all! The result was actually excellent. It made an uniformly ground oat-nut butter with wonderful flavor! I'll be making that again for sure! It not only taste great but was very spreadable. After making it I looked at the manual a bit and found that 1/4 cup of oil was recommended for making nut butters. I think starting with 1/4 cup of oil would have made it much easier to make. I also used the disc to grate a block of mozzarella. I just put in parts of the block down the shoot at a time, using the pusher and the "Disc" Mode setting. It went through the cheese very quickly and produced very nicely grated cheese. I was left with a few small pieces at the top but nothing that I didn't think was acceptable. The cheese was grated thinner than what I usually do with a hand grater but the size is perfect for me. I included a picture of the grated mozzarella so you can hopefully get an idea. I also used the standard pitcher to make a fruit smoothy. I used a mix of many different frozen fruits, most all together in a bag that was made for that, but with additional blueberries. Again, this didn't take long to make, I just used the BlendSense and let it do its thing. It ran the short detection and then started blending. It did its thing and finished with another uniformly blended smoothy. While there is nothing hard about doing that, I want to re-iterate that you turn the thing on and the default setting is "BlendSense". At that point all you do is press the Dial to start and then you can watch a nice timer on the screen. It is easy, I like having the timer, and the results were great each time. Summary I'm impressed by the Detect Power Kitchen System Pro. The blender is top notch as far as I can tell. The BlendSense technology is something I will probably use most if not all the time rather than the low, medium, and high settings. It's just so quick and easy. When you do need settings though, I love the button and dial combination of control. I'm not sure I would love it except that the screen is so good! Not just the text in it but you will see different colors around the outside for different settings. I was thinking the processor may be a poor quality add-on to check the box but that wasn't very capable. I feel like it worked very well and could totally be used in place of a food processor in most if not all situations. I did have a hard time cleaning the nut butter out from under the middle post, it was stuck up inside the middle post. They've made it as easy as possible by having it all well sealed but even with the rounded corners of the start inside that post, it was difficult to clean. I think that was due to the combination of how long I had to blend for the nut butter and the consistency of it that made it hard to get it out of that star inside the middle post. My only other comment on cleaning is they have a safety setup so that you need to have the lid on the pitcher or the bowl before it will run. to do that there is a mechanism that runs through the handle. In cleaning I had water get into the handle. That's a bit disappointing but, not a huge issue. It does seem to eventually dry out, at least mostly. Still, for me those are minor issues and the functions this provides as well as how well it does them make it a Blending/Food Processor system that I would totally recommend.

    Top Notch Detection and Performance

DESIGN: Alright, let's dive in. The design of this Ninja blender is top-notch. It has a modern aesthetic that adds a stylish touch to any kitchen. The matte finish and sturdy build give it a premium feel. The digital display isn’t just a pretty face; it’s intuitive and user-friendly, lighting up with just the right amount of information without overwhelming you. The modular components are the icing on the cake. Not only do they make storage a breeze, but they also allow for easy cleaning. Plus, the rubberized grips at the base ensure it won't go dancing on your countertop. FUNCTIONALITY: BlendSense Tech: Okay, so here's the scoop. Most of the time, this tech is on point. I whipped up some hummus, and boy, it was velvety perfection. But with berries? The seeds can sometimes throw it for a loop, making it think it's dealing with chunky ice. It can get a bit overzealous, but it's not a deal-breaker by any means. Manual Function: Here's a surprise - even with a manual mode, I find myself letting the machine take the wheel. Just set it and forget it. I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of hands-free action in the kitchen, especially when you're juggling a dozen tasks? Diverse Attachments: The Ninja blender brings more to the table than just blending. There's the... Cup: Perfect for those on-the-go mornings. Blend up your favorite smoothie, pop on a lid, and you're out the door. Regular Blender: For when you're entertaining or meal prepping, this sizeable blender can handle it all, from soups to sauces. 8-Cup Food Processor Bowl: It's like having a sous chef in your kitchen. Whip up salsa, dough, or even shred cheese. Speaking of which... Reversible Slicing & Shredding Disc: Slice veggies for salads or shred them for slaws. This disc makes kitchen prep a breeze. Powerhouse Performance: We're talking 1800 watts of raw blending power. I tossed in frozen goodies, from ice to stubborn berries, and this beast handled it effortlessly. If you're tired of those annoying icy bits in your smoothies, this blender's got your back. Closing Thoughts To wrap it up, the Ninja Detect Kitchen System is a real game-changer. While there's that minor berry hiccup, it doesn't overshadow the blender's stellar performance and killer sharp design. It's versatile, powerful, and a looker to boot. If you're in the market for a blender upgrade, especially one with versatility and extra attachments, I'd say this one's definitely worth considering.

Great combo unit to get anything you need blended

So admittedly I probably have two blenders, a couple of the cup type blenders, and a food processor that I felt a sigh of relief when I could replace all of them with this singular setup. Having the single base means I can put it in an out of the way corner of my countertop and simply slot in whatever blending device I want to use. The bottom of the blending unit has suction cup feet which prevents any tipping when I'm going a little crazy with the contents. (Key tip: The handle of the blending attachments faces towards you when you set it on the base and then turns to the left to lock.) Overall, it's a great setup. The three blending attachments I keep in a cupboard underneath, the main blending unit on the counter so I don't have to drag it in and out. Each of the attachment pieces has a separated blade so you can easily clean it in the dishwasher and never have to worry about running a brush down into a blender jar with the blades at the bottom. Performance was on par with my best blender and I was able to quickly whip up my standard smoothie with ice cubes and even tested crushing ice into a snow-cone like consistency. Power was definitely sufficient to power through the ice and the blendsense detection worked pretty well to determine how I might want my contents blended. I did appreciate the capability to switch over to manual mode though just in case I wanted to do things a little differently.

Great size for big and small kitchens. Coming from a bullet and hand shaker, this is a nice change of pace. More options and choices but I mainly use the blender for now. You do get a 24oz blended cup and it blends right into the cup using the one base machine. I made a protein shake with kale and also a strawberry smoothie with granola. Both had a smooth texture, wasn’t to watery. Nothing lumpy with the kale mix either. What’s so simple is the blend sense because this gives you more control like with speed control and modes. There is a manual mode and that is what I used since I only made simple smoothies. The biggest fun however is the blend sense technology altogether. If you are having a family gathering, this blender will get the job done. I look forward to making frozen smoothies. It has an ice detector so if the blend sense detects a lot of ice or say like frozen fruit, it will automatically add power while blending. This blender has it all. It comes with a 8 cup processor and a reversible slicing and shredding disc. I like that everything fits on the counter and it’s easy to clean. 1800 peak watts by the way! Get this Ninja!

It’s great when an appliance can do more than 1 job, thereby saving space. But as I recently learned with a new stove that has a built-in air fryer in the oven, sometimes it doesn’t live up to the hype. With the Ninja Blender and Food Processor Duo, having the versatility of both a blender and a food processor in one unit is a huge plus. Included are 2 containers: a 72 oz pitcher and a 64 oz bowl for the food processor, 2 chopping blades, a dough blade, and a shredding disc. Also included is a 24oz to go cup with it’s own blade, so you can make drinks on the go! The blender has BlendSense technology, it’s like AI for a blender, it can automatically detect and adjust speed and blending time. A big reason I got this blender is for my teenage son, he LOVES smoothies! He makes one pretty much every day and has gotten very proficient at making them. He uses frozen fruits, usually mangos and strawberries and fresh banana. I thought it would be interesting to see how the Ninja stacks up against the pro style blender we currently have, a 12 year old Vitamix. Over the course of the week, we made 3 smoothies with various frozen fruits, unfortunately, the results were not that great. The ingredients tend to stuck to the side of the blender jar. We had to take the jar off, shake it up, push it down with a spatula or thinning out a bit with more water (the “add water” light did not come on”). After 3 presses of the Blendsense button and more shaking, it blended smoothly. I love the light show you get with the dial while the blender is working, irreverent? Yes, but its’s still cool! Next test, we used the food processor and the dough hook to make pizza dough. It worked fine, mixed all the ingredients in “dough” mode. A feature we liked when making dough is the lid with the rubber gasket, you don’t get flower dusting all over when mixing. The suction cups held the processer in place when the dough was being mixed. The worse part of this was the cleanup, sticky dough to wash out of the dough blade and processor bowl vs a stand mixer and dough hook we would normally use. Using the food processor with the shredding disc was great, it made chopping up vegetables was a breeze. The dual sided disc is a neat feature, so smart! Overall, the Ninja Blender and Food Processor Duo is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. It would’ve been nice if the recipe book had more recipes to try, although scones are mentioned, no recipes were included. It might have a minor quirk with some ingredients sticking to the side in the blender, but it's a small price to pay for the convenience and performance it offers. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and multifunctional kitchen appliance.

The Ninja - Detect Kitchen System Power Blender + Processor comes with a 72 oz pitcher, a 64 oz food processor bowl, a 24 oz single-serve cup, and various blades and discs for different functions. The pitcher has a Total Crushing & Chopping Blade that can handle large batches of frozen drinks, soups, sauces, and more. The food processor bowl has a chopping blade, a dough blade, and a reversible slicing/shredding disc that can process and chop ingredients for salsa, hummus, pizza dough, salads, and more. The single-serve cup has a Hybrid Edge Blade that can blend smoothies, shakes, and juices for one person. All the containers, blades, and lids are BPA-free and dishwasher-safe. The blender also has some smart features that make it stand out from other blenders. It has a Portion Detect that recognizes the size of the container and adjusts the blending time accordingly. It has an Ice Detect that senses when ice is added and increases the power to crush it. It has a Torque Detect that monitors the resistance of the ingredients and prevents stalling or overheating. It also has 11 manual programs and 4 automatic programs that let you customize your blending experience. The Ninja Detect Kitchen System Power Blender + Processor Pro is a versatile and powerful blender that can perform various functions such as blending, chopping, slicing, shredding, and dough making. It has a BlendSense Technology that automatically detects the ingredients and adjusts the speed and time accordingly. It also has some smart features that recognize the size of the container, the presence of ice, and the resistance of the ingredients. The only negative I found is that it does tend to be a bit loud, but that's probably expected given the power of the motor. Overall, I am very happy with this blender and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a powerful and versatile kitchen system. It is worth every penny and it makes food prep fun and easy - not to mention awesome margaritas! It is easily the best blender I have ever owned.

I selected this for my wife, she’s been making protein smoothies lately to help balance her macronutrients. She has a stick blender but it’s messy and doesn’t always blend the ingredients fully. She also loves to bake so I thought the food processor bowl would be useful for her. First off, I’m going to warn you that the blades included in this product are SHARP! Like samurai katana sharp. The instructions caution you to use a washing brush with a handle to keep yourself clear of the blade for good reason. So, after we patched the wife up, she made a smoothie with the included cup. Ingredients, including some fruit she added, were fully blended. No missed chunky bits. The cup includes a lid with a flip cap to use like a travel mug. She doesn’t really care for the lid, it doesn’t have a vent hole so it’s hard to drink out of it. It’s ok to pour from if you don’t pour too fast. Next up, she processed two packs of cookies to make cookie bars. She ran the first package on small chop, the pieces came out with small bits and finer. She switched to mince and it produces a finer chop as you would expect. For the second package, she went with the BlendSense option. After the initial sensing, it went to Max-Crush and produced the finest grind. I’ll attach photos so you can see the results. I will say, this machine is as loud as the other blenders or food processors we’ve had. It is not a quiet machine. It does have a beautiful display/control knob on it that we found intuitive to use. There are suction cups on the bottom to keep it firmly in place when you’re operating it. It’s able to detect if you have the pitcher, the bowl, or the cup installed so you can access the right modes for the accessory you have on it. One thing the wife pointed out- the underside of the accessories has some small cavities that are difficult to hand wash and fairly impossible to dry. The instructions say they are ok to wash in the top rack of the dishwasher with NO heated dry cycle. Since the cavities are open, they do air dry fine. We haven’t tried the dough blade or the slicing/shredding disc yet.
