Good bike, bad software/tablet
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bike itself was good, a little bit wobly, and installation (and moving it) took quite a bit of effort, but in the end it felt good quality and exercising on it has been good. The software experience, however, is another story and doesn't match the quality of the bike itself. The iFit membership is not bad, it has a good selection of videos that range from beginners to experts, and has entertaining guided bike tours through different parts of the world, where they will raise/lower your bike's angle and resistance depending on where you are currently biking on the tour. However, the software is incredibly laggy and not responsive. It has also hanged on us several times. Even worse, when the software freezes, the physical emergency stop button doesn't do anything. It may or may not be related to each other, but I would assume the physical button should have a physical override on anything the monitor controls. Also, the hardware running the table is severely underpowered for such a large monitor. You need to press multiple times on the screen sometimes, and there's always a couple second lag on most things you press. I do like that you can swivel it almost 180 degrees for the off-bike workouts though. As of now, I would probably just recommend you get a normal bike, because the software experience is not worth the extra cost that you are paying.

Overall good with some complaints.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chief compliments: You can read watch all the official reviews. They seem to be accurate but they leave out a few of my complaints below. Seems well to be well built HEAVEY, but not difficult to put together Big screen Chief complaints: No HDMI - a lot of information out there saying it has it, mine definitely does not. No Bluetooth - Its capable. If you follow some steps you can get the console to pair to a device like an iphone, HRM or headphones but none of those will be recognized by the iFit app on your phone or console. So I hoped my HRM would display on the screen but it will not. Forget customer service. I think their goal is to keep you on hold until you just give up. The instructions say to unplug the machine when not in use. This is irritating because it takes a good while for it to boot up when you first plug it in. I guess it gives you time to stretch.

Great fitness experience.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This bike is very sleek looking. Fits great in an small room. Excellent ifit membership that offers both cycling & off bike strength training classes. Excellent features with built in fan, placement of hand weight holders, water bottle holder, resistance controls & amazing automatic incline & decline while riding. Only thing I do not like is when you are pedaling fast & hard the handles & screen sort of shake a bit. Overall, very happy with this purchase & would recommend.

Great Experience
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cycle is outstanding and great for the enthusiasts. I wouldn’t recommend as a casual rider. The screen is truly amazing, you can transform your space into many different countries and landscapes with the membership! It comes with 1 free year but after that you have to continue paying if you want access to ifit. It is easy to set up and clip in, the straps are also very accommodating. I highly recommend if you’ve been on the fence, it is so worth it.

Good Bike with a few issues.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On day 1 of owning this, the seat kept sliding down when my wife, daughter or I used the bike. Extremely frustrating, basically unusable. Called support many times and got some new parts ordered. Was ready to return the bike since the parts were on backorder. When we got the parts they wanted me to fix it. For something this expensive, they should send someone out. I am glad they did, as it took them awhile to make the repair. It took a month to get the parts and repairman out to fix, but now it works great. We ride it everyday and enjoy the classes. It's difficult for me to recommend to anyone since we had that issue, but I enjoy the bike now.

after 3 months, I'm still very satisfied
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally getting around to write a review. After 3 months of riding the bike 3-5 times a week, I still love it and am happy with my purchase. After extensive research between this one and a Peloton, I chose the NT S22i for a few reasons, primarily cost of ownership was significantly less (>$600 in first year and savings of $25/mo after first year), the plethora of "outdoor" rides, and the fan. I took my time setting it up (with help of my son) and it went together in about an hour. Within a week, I swapped out the pedals for Shimano SPD pedals and put a bike seat cover pad on it (the seat can get uncomfortable without it if you;re not used to the hard road bike seats). To be fair to Peloton, you can also replace their pedals with SPD ones (may violate warranty for just the cranks but wouldn't invalidate warranty for the whole bike) so this was not a deciding factor in my choice of one vs the other. I'm 6'1" and 220# and the bike handles me no problem. I have not had any controller or hardware issues. I do turn the machine off AND unplug it after every use, per the manual. Which seems dumb to have to do but I didn't want to chance having an issue with the controller. The whole incline/decline feature is ok I guess. It wasn't a selling point to me and still isn't (though its not bad enough that I have tried to turn it off). Its pretty loud--not really bothersome to me as the rider but I definitely dont do early morning rides when rest of house is sleeping as the bike is on first floor and it would likely wake them up. It does give more of a real sense to riding hills though, especially on the outdoor/follow the trainer rides. And feels like it gives add;l resistance options to you and the trainers (can crank up incline AND resistance). Pros: - Setup was fairly easy - Love several of iFit trainers (there's quite a few) and outdoors rides (I do the studio classes sometimes but mostly the 'follow the trainer' ones) - the swivel screen for when getting off bike (such as a yoga class) - LOVE the inline fan! - bike is certainly well built/sturdy and pedaling is very quiet (though as mentioned, the gear for raising/lowering the incline is quite loud) - connects to my Garmin Dual chest HRM every time and to my BT headphones (sometimes have to turn BT off and then back on to connect to headphones) - huge variety and number of iFit trainers, series, workouts and locations - I like the iFit trainers controlling the resistance and incline/decline (though can manually take over, I prefer to just let them control the bike and I just pedal - the huge screen size is really immersive in the ride and is easy to operate/see all the stats -- its just a 22" Android tablet after all, though just running older Android version :-( Cons: - The iFit software certainly has its issues. It crashes every so often (I'd estimate 1 out of every 5-6 rides)--almost always comes back to spot in ride after a minute or two so that's good but it is annoying when it happens -- iFit search feature is not very good and neither is the calendar feature--maybe this will get better but it for sure needs work --iFit music selection on almost every ride is atrocious (I either use my own music or just have the trainer volume up). - The front of the bike DOES wobble some which i guess is to be expected with a large 22" monitor up front. I have noticed though that its not really noticeable while I'm riding and it definitely doesn't wobble as much when I'm using proper form. - the Google maps rides (aka Create a ride) are a joke. Yes you can ride anywhere in the world but its just a static picture updated once every couple of seconds. Did one ride to try it out and will never do another one I have yet to do a live iFit class, though I can see that they have started scheduling a few per day in the past month, so cant comment on them (hopefully the music in the live classes is better!). So overall, I still love the bike, am super happy that I bought it a few months ago since spin classes at my gym are still not open and would recommend it to anyone.

Customer support is terrible
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought the bike and got it put together and began using it this week. I'll break it down to Pros and Cons. Pros High quality construction. Easy to assemble yourself in less than 1.5 hours. Drive system and SMR are very smooth and quite. Good adjustability. Easy to move around unless you have to move it to another floor. Easy to adjust resistance or incline/decline on the fly. Abundance of workout programs. Cons Customer support is really bad and hours are very limited. So bad you just give up. The leaderboard is fake. You are not competing against anyone in real time like all of the commercials suggest. Not all of your workouts get uploaded so the stats are not accurate and therefore they are unreliable. Incline/decline seems like more of a gimmick and don't really offer any true workout benefit. The monitor is supposed to be HD, but by what standard? The resolution is awful! It's worse than a VHS video cassette on an old TV with 480i resolution. I thought I really did my homework and took my time but I think most of the reviews out there are paid reviews, so you don't really know what to believe. I did see in some reviews that the customer support was bad but I really didn't think I'd need it very often, but when you do need it it becomes very important. But the two biggest reasons I'm not happy with this bike are the screen resolution and the fake leaderboard. I'm likely going to return it and buy something else.

Loving it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm loving this Nordictrack bike! It doesn't take up much space and its so quiet when riding it. I was given one year of Ifit membership which is Fantastic. I even canceled my gym membership. It was extremely hard for me to work out in the gym wearing a mask but at home no mask is required. At first I was thinking... do I want to spend so much for a stationary bike? Fortunately it's not just a stationary bike, it's a stationary gym and worth every penny. It actually inclines and declines on it own while you're riding with the Ifit coaches. I really feel like I'm riding with the coaches through Hawaii and Switzerland. There's so much more I haven't explored with my Nordictrack bike yet and I'm looking forward to trying everything it has to offer.

Solid bike
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All around solid build. Quiet ride, easy adjustments. no external wires hanging. Like that you can incline or decline and still have resistance. Ifit programs are an added bonus with lots of variations. Only thing I wish the screen/ monitor had was blue tooth capabilities to use wireless headphones. Well worth the $$ and lots less than a pelotan bike.

Nearly perfect!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bike is very easy to put together on your own in less than 20 minutes. The screen is a great size, everything feels easily customizable, and I love that the bike responds to the trainer so you don't have to adjust your resistance manually (you can if you want to). Only two small complaints: 1) A blender bottle doesn't fit in the water bottle holders; 2) the screen is a somewhat slow to respond so you have to be a little more patient than you are with other tech.

Very happy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took a couple of hours (2 people) to put together. Good instructions as long as you follow carefully. Bars wobble slightly but in securely so not afraid of falling apart. I will contact NordicTrack to confirm this is ‘normal’. Like the large screen, that iFit programs are great with various kinds of workouts and that you can use any kind of shoe (sneaker or bike shoe). It’s also surprisingly (pleasantly) quiet so you can keep the music/trainer volume at a reasonable level. My husband and I use it almost every day.

Great fitness product
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation is pretty straightforward. 2 people needed. Once up and running it’s really a great product. The workouts are nice and this is leaps and bounds better than a Pelaton for features. Incline/decline/resistance automatically adjust. I love the scenic rides. The first year of classes included as opposed to paying monthly from the beginning. The fan is a very nice bonus

Good, but could be better
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this for a few weeks now, and it gets ridden by myself, wife, or son daily. I'll admit I'm more a fan of outdoor exercise (running, riding, hiking, etc..), and we live in an environment where that's often a reasonable option. The winter challenge is daylight hours and my work schedule. The summer challenge is work schedule, having to mostly exercise in the late afternoon or evening, and sometimes excessive heat that restricts me from safely doing what I would like. So, having an indoor option is pretty convenient. Problem is that indoor riding or running, for me, quickly becomes boring. If you don't read all the way through this, would I recommend this bike? Yes, if you are going to get an exercise bike, I think this is a good option to consider. I've never ridden a Peloton bike, but that was the other option we were considering. Largely this bike has met my expectations, and I anticipate we will get plenty of use out of it. Hopefully it's durable. FYI - Watch the sticker price and fine print if you order from NordickTrack. Shipping alone was going to bump this up a few hundred dollars ordering directly, and they charge you return shipping and a hefty restocking fee if you don't like it. Pros: - iFit workouts on large monitor. Hopefully iFit continues to add workouts and series as time goes on. Out of the box, there appears to be hundreds of road riding and mountain biking series that were filmed at various cool locations around the globe. The rides that I've done so far include locations like Canada, Spain, Colorado, Oregon, and Utah. The workouts rely on you to self police your own effort, but so far I've found them enjoyable and taxing when you fully commit. There are also a number of trainer led classes. These are pre-recorded, which personally is fine with me since it doesn't corner you in to a time/date for any specific workout. I haven't done one yet, but it appears there are also live trainer led workouts available if that's your thing. - 22" monitor is very clear. It would be cool if you could set up apps on the monitor that would allow you to stream videos when you just feel like pedaling without a specific workout goal. - Built in fan below the monitor is very convenient. - Setup of the bike was fairly easy. Fair warning, it is quite heavy. - Elevation change feature is interesting. I enjoy riding hills outside. This isn't the same feeling, but it's kind of fun having the bike ramp up to a 16% (max 20%) incline while you are riding up a steep hill. Similarly, the decline is neat too (max 10%). - Magnetic resistance is much smoother than other bikes I have ridden over the years that require manual adjustments of some sort of pressure pad on the fly wheel. - Controls for elevation and resistance are on the handlebars and on the touch screen. You can easily tap the touch screen to make large changes to a specific incline/decline or resistance. Using the handlebar controls, you increase or decrease one level at a time. I like this better than a dial you have to reach down and adjust. Cons: - iFit could do a better job of screening users? I'm competitive, and it's fun to see the "Leader Board" on the screen while you are doing various workouts. My issue is that I don't see ever getting to the top of the leader board, and it's not due to lack of effort. On every ride I've done so far, it's clear there is some way to cheat the system. You've got users averaging 35-50+ miles per hour for the entire duration of the workout. There can be 20-40 users hitting speeds that seem quite unrealistic. - Creaks, groans, and clicks. Overall the bike seems sturdy. I weigh 185 lbs, and max weight on the bike is supposedly around 350 lbs. There are so many annoying creaks and groans when you really start riding hard. Maybe I don't notice it on bikes at the gym, but that could be because the music is blaring? I personally feel like it is design issues though. The seat clamp mechanism seems really chintzy and the seat clamp mechanism appears to be a piece of plastic pushing against the seat post. It's unclear where the clicking comes from, but it isn't noticeable until I'm pedaling in the 110-130+ rpm range on workouts. - Fan is noisy. Yes, it's a great feature, but I suspect it wouldn't cost NordicTrack that much to use a quieter fan. When the fan is on high, you have to turn up the volume a few notches to hear the instructor. Note that the fan isn't pumping out hurricane force winds, so I'm making my comment based on other small portable fans I've used that push more air and are almost silent. - Seat clamp. As noted above, the seat clamp mechanism is cheap. I've done bike maintenance for 35+ years, and it's not rocket science to tighten a seat clamp. This one doesn't hold well. I've had to tighten and re-tighten this multiple times because the seat angle will suddenly shift if you put too much weight forward or backward on the saddle. - Seat comfort is non-existent. Again, for the money you spend on this, NordicTrack could provide a decent seat. The gel padding on the seat is thick, but the seat itself is horribly uncomfortable. Other users have stated the same. I've tried to give this one a fair chance, but it's definitely going to be swapped out for a better saddle. - Geometry adjustment. You can raise/lower the handlebars, but you can't move them forward or back. This would be a huge improvement. With a 36" inseam, I can't comfortably stand up and pedal on this bike. The geometry is awkward and I hit the handlebars if I try to lean forward at all while standing. With a little more adjustability, I feel like you could come closer to the feel of a regular road or mountain bike.

Love this bike
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have struggled as a mom of two to find time for cardio. I tried a spin class years ago and it was a little intimidating. This bike has been perfect for my needs. I did a lot of research between this and the peleton and I’m glad I chose this bike. It offers trails that you can ride with instructors through different countries along with studio classes. I enjoy both. I love the fact that the bike changes resistance and elevation and the built in fan. I actually wake up excited to exercise and stay motivated with the interaction of the instructors.

Very happy with my purchase!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in love with this bike, so hooked! I am new to spinning but I find this bike easy to use and adjust. I love that it auto adjusts the incline and resistance to match the ride during your workout. Ifit app could use a little work, but the choices of rides are great, like seeing the world without leaving you house. I love how it feels like you have your own personal training with you at all times!

Get riding!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bike is fantastic. IFit classes are great. The iFit app however is quite behind, especially compared to competitors. It’s getting better, but slowly. Pros: outdoor rides are fantastic! The incline / decline is a bit gimmicky, but I enjoy it. Solidly built. Fast delivery! Con: app is dated. Not a social tool (can’t easily friend people or do a ride together). No Apple Watch or 3rd party tracker (Strava etc) integration. And music is limited (though I just play music from my HomePod when riding anyway so not so much a con for me)

Great Alternative to the Gym
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had twins 4 years ago and have struggled to find time to get back to the gym since then. The NordicTrack S22i Studio Cycle is a great option and I love how many different workout choices there are. I've found that I love the trail runs the best. The bike auto-adjusts to follow along with the trainer and really pushes me, more than I would push myself if I was just riding on my own. The bike itself is really well made and has a fairly small footprint. I love that the screen can be swiveled so you can include other exercises into your workout. It includes a set of weights that really adds to your workout options. I have loved this bike so far and feel like it was a great choice. I do wish the power button was in a bit more convenient position but other than that I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this bike.

Great exercise
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This bike is a great value. The same price range as a peleton but it comes with more. The dumb bells are included and the 1 year membership saves you more money compared to the peleton. The auto incline and decline is excellent. My only complaint would be the seat being uncomfortable and coming lose on occasion so I have to adjust and tighten the screw down.
