It was more than I expected. I had tried the dk1, google cardboard, and gear vr before using this one. This one is light years ahead of all the other ones I had tried.

Got this for my teenager. I was able to try out the demos and WOW, it's just the coolest thing! My son loves it and has bought additional games for it.

I love the Oculus Rift, it totally engrosses the subject in a virtual escape from the mundane of everyday regular gameplay and also has great educational content!

This is a great product but Oculus support sucks. There is no telephone support if you have an issue you have to wait up to 2 days for a reply. I also purchased a ton of games as soon as i got the unit then the next day they all went on sale. They would not offer me a credit or even a free game . Got really bad support and help from oculus. I would not recommend this product due to bad support by Oculus

VR is amazing. Farlands and elite dangerous are amazing. Not for the faint of heart! Needs a current gen computer with a $500 video card to make it feel life like.

This system is far above the less expensive models. The graphics are amazing and with the hand controlers you easily become immersed in your games. A lot of fun.

I've played both the Vive and Rift. I will say that they are equal. They both have plus and minus. However, the rift is much cheaper making it the better buy.

The Rift could use a little better refresh and a slew of games, but it puts you in another dimension/world! Recommend this product if you have the system to run it.

This is my first rift VR, and I love it. It is easy to use and can view most of vr videos. The quarlity and sense is much better than those cardboard viewers.

I love this headset. Graphic is very good and games made by oculus are amazing. Oculus Touch controllers will blow your mind too. You will not regret getting this.

Fantastic VR experience! some lens flare, but thats expected

I finally broke down and bought this for my racing simulator's. Unbelievable immersion as opposed to a three monitor set up. I've since been playing other games with the touch controller's and enjoying every minute of it! I think everyone in my house has fallen down at least once trying to dodge bullets or hide so make sure you've got room. You'll also need to make sure you've got a PC that can run it at good frame rates to minimize any motion sickness that can be attributed to low frame rates. Cons are that my glasses don't fit and the clarity isn't that of a good monitor. No biggie because the immersion is absolutely incredible. My system I-5 6600K,16gb ram,1080 gtx Windows 10

I love the idea of VR and was excited to try this out, but this was not the system for me, at least not for now. I couldn't find a comfortable fit, mostly around the nose, maybe I wasn't adjusting it properly. Beyond that there aren't enough AAA titles to justify the space and wiring required. It's a neat system and there are certainly some "wow" moments to be had, but I imagine a much less cumbersome unit with much better software isn't too far down the road. Still, with a recent price drop, might be a fun investment if you really want to try VR now.

I gotta start this review off by saying how awesome Best Buy is and their return policy. I purchased this VR headset and tried it out for 3 days, each time having to walk away from the computer because I was feeling sick. The only experience in VR I was able to enjoy was the Eve game that comes with it, other games like Minecraft make me sick within minutes. Tried watching some VR video which were great as long as the camera doesnt move, but as soon as there is any motion its game over. The headset itself feels cheap, I mean the box it comes in feels like it might have cost more than the headset. The horizontal adjustment on the lenses are too narrow, it needs a wider range. The headset itself also did not touch under my eye / around my nose at all so I had to play in complete darkness or a lot of light would come thru the bottom. The resolution on the vr screens is also very bad, feels like your content is being down scaled to 320x240. Was hoping to enjoy some movies in VR while relaxing in a jungle or something, but the resolution is so low that you really can't enjoy a movie in VR. I had very high hopes for VR, and seeing how facebook purchased this company I expected a good quality product. I will give it a shot again in 2-3 generation and hope they get it worked out.

Virtual Reality has come a long way, and the best way to experience it is with Oculus Rift. Now that it is half price, there is no better time to get one!

It's alright there isn't so many games yet it's interesting but gets boring after a few min. I tried this out in store was very excited about it took it home for my kids unfortunately no one at the store told me that it was not recommended for children under 13 so here I am stuck with a product in which my children cannot enjoy. I wasn't fond of the cursing in some games contacted oculus about it because they were cursing at my children oculus then said that the vr wasn't for children under 13. I don't think I would of bought this if I would of known all of this before hand and I do think that Best Buy should make that age thing clear before selling it to people.

After 4 1/2 years in wait of development and production, I purchased my Rift last month. I spent quite a few $$ upgrading my PC in anticipation, but it was well worth it. Touch Controllers arriving next week, completing 3/4 of my ultimate goal -- standing on the bridge of a (Star Trek) starship to win the battles and complete the mission (ST: Bridge Crew, delayed 'till March '17). In the meantime, 'EVE: Valkarie', 'Nevermind', and 'Obduction' -- AWESOME games.

I was really looking forward to the VR experience but was blown away by how immersive and engaging the environments were. Very happy with purchase.

If you are looking to get into vr, don't think buy the rift, with the price drop and the 7 games it comes with it's a bargain. You won't regret it

I support the Rift VR system. I think that this is a new level of gaming and ANY person who is a fan of video games should have one in their homes!
